hi everyone, i'm panicking really bad and i would love if a poercer could tell me whats happening here
pic 1 and 5: today
pic 2: fresh
pic 3: a week ago
pic 4: right after i hit it 3 days ago
context:
ive had my piercing for 5 months. im going to the gym often and ive irritated it a bit, lately have done it a bit more than usual (especially on heavy lifts, i brace my core and it sits weird).
a week ago it started getting better. i noticed crusties forming and it didnt look too red, actually was so positive that it was going to be all right.
then, 3 days ago i went to the gym again and also wore a tighter bodysuit. it looked inflamed. the next day i hit it and it turned reeeeally red. my piercer said it has migrated and it might come out. its true that compared to when i got it done, the skin bit is way thinner (vertically tho, like the bar isnt visible through the skin, more like the top hole came lower a bit). i panic and i use an antibiotic cream (ive used it before on ear piercings, it helped a lot, piercer said its not an issue). it hurt, kinda stung, but i figured it was doing its job. next day i used it again then i stopped (i asked an AI if its good and it said no). i noticed after i used the cream that the skin looked kinda raw. right now, its not red, but under the top ball its red and if i bend it kinda hurts. piercer also said i dont have the greatest anatomy for it, she doesnt really know how to help me out.
about jewelry: its a 10mm banana barbell. i think its really long to the point where if i bend, the lower ball touches the lower part of my belly button, creating tension and pushing it outward (if that makes sense). should i change into a shorter bar?
so what happened? is this normal healing?did i just hit it and its recovering? if its migrating, can it be stopped? what do i do???
up until now, it only looked midly irritated, but it didnt look like it was rejecting whatsoever. from last week until today i feel like the skin had become thinner (just by looking at the pics), but im not even sure anymore!
please help😭
10mm internally threaded curved barbell, titanium (normal i think, not implant grade, question mark)
5 months old
hit it and used cream on it lately
