Welcome to the r/PartneredYoutube voluntary channel verification.
If you would like to verify your channel and get flair like what I have on my account:
- Go to your YouTube channel's About section and edit the description to include your reddit username. For example I enter exactly: u/flammy
- Post a link to your channel in one of the following formats as a top level comment in this thread.
- https://www.youtube.com/user/flammy5
- If you use a different format (such as a custom URL with an @ in the URL) validation will fail.
- Wait, and our bot will process your request sometime in the next few days
- After the flair has been granted, you can remove your username from the About section and delete the comment if you're concerned about privacy. However, if you want your stats to continue to be updated, you should leave the u/ name in your About section.
FAQ:
What is flair, and how does flair work?
Flair is a reddit "signature" that appears every time you post in r/PartneredYouTube. Verification flair is not required to post, comment, or participate. A user lacking flair is not a valid reason to report them for breaking rule 2. You can remove flair at any time with Reddit's built in flair editing. The flair granted by the bot can't be edited. Verification is done via a bot, follow the directions above if you would like flair.
Why is the flair channels stats, and not partnered status?
Partnered Status is not supported by the official YouTube APIs at this time.
How long do I have to wait for verification?
Please wait 24-48 hours, and after checking you've followed all the directions you can send me a polite DM.
Is there a way to authenticate anonymously?
Will the bot update my stats?
If you leave the comment with the channel link and username in your description, your flair will be updated.
My stats are low!
The bot is only able to see your channel's public subscriber count and public total view count. If you have hidden videos, these views will not be reflected.
Can I verify with multiple channels?
Not at this time.
Is there a minimum channel size for verification?
No.
How can I remove my flair?
Yes, you can remove the flair via Reddit.

Question / Problem Slots YouTuber (9.5K subs, 3M views last month) looking for collab partners
I run a slots channel on YouTube with over 9,500 subscribers and more than 3 million views in the last month. I'm looking for other gambling creators who'd like to team up using YouTube's Collab feature, so the video appears on both channels and reaches both audiences.
I record most of my content in Germany, so it's mainly Novomatic and Merkur games. If you play different providers or film in another country, I’m open to experimenting!
If you're interested, comment below or DM me a link to your channel.

Question / Problem Terrible CTR After 2 Years
I got a youtube channel with 900 subs. Didn’t post for 1.5-2 years. Started uploading now and getting lowest CTR ever on the same topic and thumbnails. Im talking going from 6-9% to 1-2%. Anyone ever experienced this?
My assumption is youtube trying to find my audience again and building it up but idk.

Talk / Discussion Weird Algorithm
With all the posts about views being down and weird algorithms I decided to go on to my PC and go through all my settings.
So apparently my biggest audience interest is Cats. I post gaming memes….
I’ve changed it all and hope it gets better but Im confused AF.

Comment GIFs are controversial, but I make detailed multi-paragraph comments + do consulting for history/archeology channels, and think it could further enable education and nuance: Here's how
(Note: while I don't mention it in the title, because I don't actually really post my own videos these days, I do, in fact, have partner status on my channel from one video I uploaded ~15 years ago, so I am not violating rule 2, if the mods here have questions I would be happy to send them proof of this via modmail)
As the title says, I and my friends pretty frequently leave large, multi-paragraph length comments (actually, I pretty frequently hit the character limit in my comments!), and we also do consulting for a variety of history and archeology channels, since we keep up with the academic literature on some topics and subjects.
I've been pretty disappointed to see the negative reaction to the new feature allowing users to include GIFs in their comments, because I think this could actually be a huge help and benefit to those of us making high effort, detailed, and nuanced comments.
Most people are thinking about GIFs in the context of looping animations, in the traditional sense of the term, especially for things like reaction faces. And in that context, I do get why people worry it could just enable spam and clutter that doesn't contribute to the conversation.
But if you set the frame delay on your GIF to be very slow, so a new frame only shows up every second or 2 seconds, and put a totally different image in each frame, you've basically just turned the GIF into a album or gallery of multiple images. The utility of that is HUGE.
For example, If i'm making a comment with clarifications and corrections on a archeology video, I can, in theory, make a GIF where each frame is a different diagram, artifact, map, or other images that visualize and illustrate the information I'm explaining in my comment. I'm looking at this from an archeology perspective, but this kind of use could benefit almost anybody who is trying to provide information and data through their comment: maybe you're doing a comment about statistics or math and can now include different graphs, for instance.
There is a catch: You can only use GIFs already on Tenor or Giphy, and the former has a manual approval process that can take ~48 hours for GIFs to become public, and the latter only makes GIFs public if they are from approved Brand or Creator accounts (though, the requirements for being a Creator don't seem particularly stringent: It may be a viable option, if you have a decent social media following). Stickers on Giphy apparently are all public, but those also have an approval process and the rules for Stickers might also make them harder to use as I'm imagining, plus they have their own API and I'm not sure they are usable like normal GIPHY GIFs are.
So, this does seem to mean that if you want to make a dedicated GIF with images that tie into your comments text, you may need to wait 1-2, maybe even more days after uploading the GIF, before you post your comment on the video, and given how most people view a given video within the first few days of after it gets uploaded, this does mean that you'll likely miss out on a lot of people seeing and upvoting your comment
A potential workaround: If you frequently make comments covering specific topics, you can pre-make a bunch of GIFs with different combinations of images and upload those in advance, so from that point on, you always have those GIFs at your disposal to pick from the next time you leave a comment on that topic. Or, maybe you can to leave a comment initially and then edit it and add a GIF later, at least in my version of the mobile Youtube app, the GIF selection menu is available even when editing an existing comment, but every time I have tried to attach a GIF when editing a comment, it has given me an error, so I'm not sure if that's possible
I'm sure there's other potential options or possibilities I haven't thought of yet too, so feel free to share your ideas, and I implore people to not have a kneejerk negative reaction to GIFs and to think about how it could be used constructively, and if Youtube ever add the ability for you to disable GIF comments on your videos, that you should think twice before enabling that!

Is this considered a low RPM?
Recently a video of mine suddenly blew up. 500k views in a week. Very grateful!
But is this considered low for the amount of views? I’m in the film / documentary niche btw. Thanks in advance!
Edit:
Just checked my actual rpm, it’s $1.77. I guess that’s on the lower end. My top viewers are from the US and Singapore. 50% viewed on TV. Not sure if there’s I can do to improve my rpm. 😢

Talk / Discussion A question to capture your reflections on starting a new channel in 2026.
Imagine you have a good channel in the Partner Program. It gives you good earnings, not great, just good. So you’d like to have a second source of income with a second channel, but you don’t get many subs, nor many views there. Getting that channel into the PP seems too far away.
But then you find a video-idea that can produce many views and subs, a great opportunity to take that second channel nearer the PP. Yeah, just dream, that idea is so good it can bring you thousands of views and subs, or it could have in the near past. In 2026 it could flop completely. It’s not AI, it’s just your subnormal face, showing things that can be engaging.
However, in you PP channel, views aren’t what they were, suddenly shorts are crashing and they don’t bring you views and subs, something seems to have changed since YT wants us to sign the new rules before February.
Where do you put that great video in 2026, in the channel that produces income or in the channel that only is a promise?

Question / Problem Checks are still running on this video...
Anyone else's videos getting stuck at the "Checks are still running" step today? Normally checks on my videos are done in 5-10 minutes tops, so this is the first time I've ever seen this still going over an hour later. I've uploaded the video more than 24 hours in advance, but I'm a little worried that the checks won't be complete by the time the video is scheduled to go live.

Does a Community Guidelines warning affect Silver Creator Award eligibility?
I recently passed 100,000 subscribers and was waiting for my Silver Creator Award review. Then YouTube removed a new video for an alleged Community Guidelines violation. It was my first issue, so I received a warning, not a strike. My appeal was rejected, though Creator Support has sent it for another review.
Does a warning alone affect award eligibility under the 365-day rule? Has anyone received the Silver Award while they had a warning?

Other Waking up to a 10/10 performing video is the worst
It sucks every time it happens. My videos are in a long-running series that take 2 weeks to a month to make each video, and it sucks when one underperforms. The videos either explode in views for a week or get a slow trickle of views for a week. There is no in-between. The slow trickle style sucks ass. That's it. That's all I wanted to say. Not looking for advice or anything. Just wanted to scream into the void.

Talk / Discussion Have you seen your revenue die off quicker after new views update?
Ever since YouTube made the recent change to count views differently my numbers, exposure and revenue have cratered. Usually, I would ride a wave of views from YouTube recommendations. I would see a “gradual” falloff of views and the monetization would dwindle over 3-4 months. Now, I am getting even higher views to start off with but after a month but there is a sharp decline - immediately - after 30 days. Has any one else seen this happen lately?

Question / Problem Is A/B testing best to be done at the initial release of the video?
I recently released a video to alright viewership for my standard. And I turned on a A/B test after 4 days of release.
Is it optimal, if you are going to A/B test, to do it at the very start. And doing it at this stage (4 days post-release), can it be damaging?
I am concerned over algorithm mix up I have heard of if you switch thumbnails/titles too much. What about just switching the thumbnail once (not an A/B) test after a couple days?
ANYWAY..how do you manage these things?

Talk / Discussion After 1.5 Years on YouTube, I've Finally Made My First $1,000
After roughly a year and a half of creating videos, I’ve officially passed $1,000 in YouTube AdSense revenue.
Now, I know $1,000 over 18 months isn’t exactly life changing money, but to me it’s a pretty incredible feeling knowing something I started purely as a hobby has managed to earn that much.
For a bit of context, I run a gaming channel. I started with nothing more than my PS5, a microphone and a genuine enjoyment for making videos. No expensive setup, no professional editing experience, not even a PC, just learning things as I went.
And I’ll be the first to admit, YouTube has been one hell of a rollercoaster.
I’ve had videos reach thousands of people, followed immediately by uploads that struggle to get even 100 views. I’ve spent hours recording, editing and putting together thumbnails, only to watch a video completely flop.
There have been times where I’ve questioned whether what I’m doing is actually worth it, times where I’ve felt burnt out, and times where I’ve probably spent far too long staring at YouTube Studio wondering why something wasn’t performing.
But then you get those little wins. A video suddenly takes off, someone leaves a genuinely nice comment, or you see a familiar viewer coming back to support another upload. Those moments remind me why I started in the first place.
My channel currently sits at around 2K subscribers, 573,000 longform views and just over $1,000 earned.
I’m nowhere near where I’d eventually like to be, and I still have so much to learn. Some months I feel like I’m making progress, and others it feels like I’m going backwards.
But looking back at where I started, I’m genuinely proud of what I’ve managed to build.
I guess the reason I’m sharing this is because I know how discouraging YouTube can be, especially when you’re putting so much effort into something and not seeing the results you’d hoped for.
Don’t let one bad upload convince you that you’re wasting your time. And don’t compare your first year to someone else’s fifth.
Keep experimenting, keep learning, take breaks when you need them, and most importantly, try to enjoy what you’re creating.
I’m still just a small creator figuring things out myself, but 18 months ago I never would’ve imagined that making gaming videos in my spare time could earn me $1,000
Here’s to the next milestone. 🍻

No Mid-Roll ads added
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a frustrating issue with YouTube Studio recently, and I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or has found a fix.
For the past several videos, I keep getting the "No mid-roll ads added" warning.
No matter how carefully I place mid-roll ads manually with precise timestamps, or even if I leave it to YouTube's automatic/AI placement, they simply don't stick or show up after publishing/processing.
Is this a known bug in YouTube Studio right now? If you've faced this issue, how did you resolve it? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Question / Problem Revenue updated twice within one hour tonight, recent revenue figures wonky
I screenshotted my revenue tonight three times within three different numbers. From this morning to now my revenue went up $80, but the revenue chart on the summary tab only shows a $40 increase for today. It doesn’t add up. Anyone else notice this tonight?

Copyright claims on a video with multiple different songs in it?
Let's say I upload a video with five different songs. They are all automatically detected. I dispute the claims, and win maybe two or three but not the others. What happens then?
Or what if one has to go to an appeal? Do I lose the money the video generates in that time?

Question / Problem Can I re-activate an Adsense account that I previously closed?
My channel got approved for monetization back in June of this year. I originally opened an individual Adsense account and got those payments set up pretty easily, but then I decided to try switching to a business account.
I have had so much difficulty with verification for the business account, that I'm considering just reverting back to the individual account. Is it possible to just re-activate the first Adsense account? Or do I have to start over from scratch?
Also I'm wondering if there are any potential risks from doing this? Like will YouTube flag me for trying to change my Adsense account too many times?

Question / Problem How easy is it to estimate a youtube channels revenue?
Hey, I got a question about monetization on YouTube and I thought you guys might be able to answer it. Does anybody know as to how easy it really is to estimate a channels earnings and what you'd need for that? It's just that sometimes I watch channels and I am curious as to what they earn, which they don't share most of the time for obvious reasons. But what would you need to try to give an educated guess as to what the monthly earnings for a YouTube channel are? After all, most channels monthly views are just public knowledge anyway.
Total layman on this one. I know what "RPM" is and I vaguely know that there are certain genres of videos that generally pay better per 1000 clicks than other ones. For example comedy / gaming does worse than finance because I suppose there's more money in the latter category. I know that RPM can vary from $3-$7, sometimes below that to maybe $1.50, sometimes a lot more than that to i-don't-know-where. I know that the YouTube money isn't just AdSense, I know that there are memberships and Super Thanks. I know that not every view is monetized.
Do you think there is a somewhat reliable way to estimate this kind of stuff? Just curious!

Channel terminated: deceptive practices and spam. please advise
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on this earlier today I finally was advised to contact team YouTube on Twitter. My channel was terminated in August 2024 without warning and without explanation except that when I appealed immediately, I was informed that my channel was blocked due to breaking the deceptive rules and spam policy that YouTube have without actually giving me an explanation as to what I actually did that came under that ruling.
Does anyone have any advice?
