P3 I feel so fucking stupid (Persona 3 Reload) Spoiler

0 Upvotes

I put on Peaceful mode to defeat the Reaper and my lvl 40 party ended being lvl 60 (1 hour boss battle!)

So I loaded my old save file (before the reaper) because I didn't want the game to be too easy but only to find out later that defeating the reaper is one of the requests

I can't believe that I will have to do that again, it was so annoying

Hello dear Persona fans, sorry if your negative about powerscalers but I would like to ask your opinions, I just grew an interest in this series via Naoto and Aigis but I realized there are some slop in scaling connunities to scale them around dimensional beings like if they are sone eldritch god or smth. How do you think?

P2 If a P2 Remake were to be made, What are gonna do with a certain character? Spoiler

2 Upvotes

So P2 from what i know has the Austrian Painter man in this game and i wonder if a Remake of P2 were to be made. Are they gonna censor him? Ik this was been done before with Wolfenstein 2 where they just removed the mustache. Idk if Sniper Elite 4 had a censored version too or was banned entirely on Germany.

Now idk if Atlus would care anyway if P2 remake got banned on Germany or maybe they do have a european audience. Look idk how the censorship goes in Europe but what do you think?

P3 question about the Persona 3 movies!

0 Upvotes

Hi! I had a quick question about the four Persona 3 movies, as I recently started playing the FeMC route of Persona 3 Portable as my first P3 experience, and want to see Makoto’s story as well! I was wondering, exactly what dates do each of the four movies cover? I wanna watch them alongside my playthrough so I can appreciate the game even more (and just bc i’ve wanted to see them for awhile now), but i don’t wanna accidentally spoil myself for major events in my main run.

Thx to anyone who can help! 🙂‍↕️

P3 [Spoliers for the month of June in P3R] That was... frustrating? Spoiler

2 Upvotes

I checked the sub beforehand and shockingly didn't see any other posts talking about this, but the whole confrontation Yukari has woth the senior group members for keeping secrets about what happened 10 years ago was done so horribly. Now, admittedly, I'm still in June, so maybe it gets better, but just that initial scene is baffling how only Yukari seemed to care, and the Chairman just brushes it off as things that now dead people did 10 years ago, when that wasn't even remotely the issue! Like, all three of the lied (by ommision, and somewhat blatantly if ever they mentioned confusion or not knowing more about Tartar and the Dark Hour.) Like, that was the issue, Mitsuru, something of the leader figure (not including combat, which is Makoto's thing), kept extremely important background info from people who she wanted to trust her. Same with Sanada and the Chairman. It's not "in the past" when up until 10 minutes before that scene, the three of them were lying to everybody!!

Anyway, my bigger gripe is that no one else cared. I understand Makoto is his own character and not a self-insert for the player, but seriously, being lied to, after getting so heavily used and relied on to risk your life for months, is just A-okay to him? I can understand Fuuka being too forgiving to get upset, or whatever, but what about Junpei!? Mister ego and immature himself was just all chill with getting lied to??? Seriously, I'm baffled! If someone lied to me about something way less important for way less time, I'd be pretty annoyed with them. But these 3 feigned ignorance and withheld information for MONTHS, then even Sanada had the ever-loving-fucking gal to get defensive when Yukari made that little accusation at him? Like, uh, buddy, you've been lying since any of us knew you, we know nothing about who you are as a person, because now we know you're a bald-assed lier, why wouldn't we assume the worst of you?

Anyway, I went on Reddit assuming this was an age-old discourse that got rehashed to death, but I couldn't find anyone else talking about it, so that horse can't be that beaten to death. Anyway, did anyone else feel like that was the greatest underreaction and strawman of a dismissal in human history?

Series Installments of Persona you feel are overlooked

1 Upvotes

Lately something that stuck out to me was the lesser known installments of the franchise as I am talking about the games such as Shin Megami Tensei if and Persona G-Mode.

I mean, sure G-Mode was recently given a fan translation as I heard about it, but I cannot help but feel like the game was overlooked since I noticed how fans of the series hardly bring up the spinoffs again such as G-Mode as I am considering playing it.

P3 Is there anything wrong with playing on easy mode if the other modes genuinely feel too hard

4 Upvotes

I still kind of want a challenge when it comes to Persona 3 especially since it’s not my first play through. But I’m still finding anything above easy really difficult for some reason. Does playing on easy ruin the experience or would that be a reasonable decision?

Series Starting point recommendations from the girlies

0 Upvotes

For years I've been trying to get into Persona. My main concerns were lenght and issues tied to gender representation: the games sometimes try to hard to appeal to their cringy adult and male fanbase, creating ankwardly problematic situations like the Kawakami one in P5 out of all I know, there have been no female main characters since Persona 4 (even P6' main character is going to be a boy) and dating is restricted to female NPCs only unless it's Persona 3 Portable.

I fell in love with Persona 6' announcement trailer, because I love how they've returned to the series' darker roots that made me interested in Persona 3 a while ago (I found it more intriguing than P5, knowing Persona went throught a toning down process after the third chapter to 5), but I didn't start playing Persona yet (yes, I'm waiting for the downvotes, but I gave you the main reasons).

r/GirlGamers just loves to demonize the Persona series, speaking of boycotts and how it puts wrong ideas in young boys' minds (mind you, a gaming sub that goes like those who said "If you play GTA, you'll start running over people with your car"!), while this sub is ridden with horny and cringy male fans who insist that the series "Is a shonen and a male power fantasy" and post sus fanart of teenage girl characters. Even speaking of a FeMC has become controversial.

So, may I ask to someone who is neither a male fan or a ̶c̶u̶l̶t̶ ̶m̶e̶m̶b̶e̶r̶ what might be the best starting points? I've informed myself, even with accidental spoilers:

- Persona 3 has Tartarus and the story only phases on full moon, reducing the build up of some moments;

- Persona 4 is too soft in its themes (I don't like the protagonist being liked by almost anyone at first meeting, I don't care if a character is just a little girl and nothing much else to her... I prefer storylines that are a bit harder to digest, like those of problematic characters)... And as I dared to venture on the Persona 6 sub, I got spoiled for 4's antagonist after all these years;

- Persona 5 seems neither too soft or too rough, but I would have loved if Kasumi was the female MC option (the additional arc could have swapped her and Ren just in case), but I can understand the work would have been too much... Yeah... And partial spoilers.

- 1/2 and sequel are distant from the newer ones' mechanics, but I got intrigued by 2 (and no romance, yay).

I do not enjoy dating girls in any way if I'm given the option to have fun like this (my favourite Cassette Beasts character is Meredith, yet I still romanced Eugene - besides the fact that an INDIE game lets you romance both boys and girls regardless, you can see my point), I don't enjoy risking to date one and brutally friendzone her, I do not even enjoy dating predators after beating up one of them. If you are a hetero male, you can push another man to play Persona by talking about "waifus", that doesn't work among girls, unless it's Portable, so I want to read your opinion about that too. Why can't I be allowed to have fun? Obviously, I hope 6 will let you romance guys too (and, most importantly, will subvert archetypes like the permanent Navigator being always a younger girl).
