Im 4-5 out of 10 in face, 5' 8"  height, hispanic(could pass as middle eastern)

,im selecting "short term, open to long term", and im 41.     

  I been getting like 5 matches after swiping right like 3000 times. 

This is my hypostesis of why im getting few matches: for short term relationships, women demand a higher standard in looks(so the women that may be interested are 3-4 or lower in looks), women in the 40s range are not as open to short term dating,  texas is more conservative and people are less open to casual dating,  texas is part of the land of jim crow[people are less open to date someone that is not part of the dominant races in houston[[white,black, tex mex, sino asian]], im not showing any provider value in my pictures[just my face and some full body picture with casual clothes].    

What is your experience in houston texas with Tinder as an average male?

How come?

Its almost making me not want to speak at all which I’m sure is what they want. It doesn’t matter how badly the guy treated me, it‘s always my fault for “trusting him”. Then a second later another guy will tell me “it’s because you aren’t trusting enough”. I wholeheartedly believe men receive some sexual gratification by putting women in impossible situations and always making it their fault. They REFUSE to reflect on their behavior.

I think one of the most frustrating parts is that when I share something that hurt me deeply, something vulnerable and personal, and instead of receiving empathy, I end up having to defend yourself against a cruel stranger who has decided that my pain is an opportunity to lecture me.

I(19M) made profiles on bumble, hinge, and Facebook dating. I've never done anything like this before so idk which ones are better and which ones are not. I have no idea how they work. I made the profiles like 1-2 weeks ago.

I haven't gotten any likes or matches on any of them, I haven't paid any money on any of them either though. I'm trying not to. I'm not that bad looking per my friends and I'm 6'3". I'm looking for a long term relationship and something dedicated and serious, not to hookup or anything.

Interested to hear if anyone is starting a class action lawsuit against either of these apps, as they are fraudulent scams using AI bots, and a model identical to that which Anthroipic recently released a report on. 75% AI bots, 25% paid gig workers to give the illusion of authenticity. People have lost £1000s within days to them.

I’m curious, i don’t think I’ve ever heard of a success story from someone that has used the app.

had about 25 mins free between work finishing and the gym yesterday and somehow spend most of it looking through profiles instead of actually replying to anyone lol

that's the bit i don't want from dating apps.

i'm happy to make time for an actual person. i just don't want the app itself becoming another inbox i keep checking all day.

Coffee Meets Bagel is one setup i like for that reason. you get a daily Suggested batch, have a proper look, then there's an actual stopping point instead of always feeling like there might be someone else if you keep scrolling.

for people with pretty full schedules, what actually saves you time without making dating feel like another productivity exercise?
