This is my second post on tracking my journey. I started one piece on the 25th September and as of tonight I finished the Alabasta arc or episode 62 - 135.

Review: The Alabasta arc was pretty good, some interesting characters, so cool devil fruits and a fun plot. I really enjoyed learning more about the grand line as it was still a mystery to me in the East Blue arc, i especially liked how they emphasise the higher stakes on the grand line. Also luffy vs Zoro! Amazing, the captain and the first mate clashing I loved it.

One thing i disliked about the arc were some of the members of Baroque works seemed forgettable and unnecessary.

Favourite character: Ace

Least favourite character: Mr 3

Favourite episode: Episode 119 " Secret of powerful swordplay! Ability to cut steel and the rhythm things have"

Least favourite episode: Episode 83 "The island where snow lives! Climb the drum rockies"

Favourite fight: Luffy vs Crocodile

Least favourite fight: Luffy vs Wapol

Favourite devil fruit: Mera Mera no mi (had to look this up)

Least favourite devil fruit: Toge Toge no mi (also had to look this up)

Favourite straw hat: Zoro

Least favourite straw hat: Ussop

Arc as whole: 7/10

So far my overall favourite characters would be

1. Ace (hes so cool, I like his personalility and his devil fruit, plus he has a cool little jet thing he gets around on)

2. Zoro (Badass, clutched a 100 vs 1 and hes clearly the most loyal to luffy)

3. Monkey.D.Luffy (Funny, badass when hes locked in, genuinely cares for his crew)

Next arc: Sky Island (ep136 - ep 206)

This was in one of the prominent indian news channel. The reporter is claiming that the Strawhat jolly roger stands for bloodshed and regime change. Although the person wearing the one piece tshirt in the picture is claimed to be a terrorist sympathiser based on her activities.

Another game night at my LGS

On a rewatch of Water 7 I noticed young Franky is this skinny kid and old Tom is a huge unit who stands up for him. By turning into a huge unit Franky is completing the cycle.

to be fair. you end up in the two year skip area of one piece right when everyone gets the kuma paw. and the body you end up in. was a low rank, so was not invited to any of the hunting parties but still has slaves. ( ayy at least you wont have someone aiming for your head for vengeance if you leave the place!....hopefully )

so what are you gonna do?

I understand that they have not been dubbed in english partially because OP was not as popular in the west until recent years. But is it possible they will ever be dubbed? Perhaps as a sort of wrapup after the series is finished, and with this make them widely available, seeing as how for some of them there is no real legal way to view them. Is it a rights thing keeping them from being dubbed or just the fact that they are not a priority.

I have seen several of them in their original Japanese, and the stories are decent, it would just be nice to be able to watch them with the voices I am more used to. (not trying to turn this into a sub vs dub debate, the manga is superior anyways and both voice casts are great)

Mine is Luffy dying / getting executed at the end of the series. People think it will happen just because it happened to Roger. It will make me hate the show

Did Oda hint that Luffy’s dream is more than being king of the pirates back in Sabaody? Sorry if this was already discussed.

Like I said, this is the third most important island, or to stay true to the story, one of the 3 most important islands for the Marines, with direct connections to impel down and marineford, the other 2 islands of the trio.

How come there weren't any vice admirals stationed there, though, an island that important should've had an Admiral guarding.

If a competent pirate crew, or worst case for the Marines, an emperor crew attacked, they wouldn't even have time to get word out before they take over it, they can manage the ships there, and sail towards impel down and marineford no problem after opening the gates.

I needed to fix a lot of stuff cuz' of having "Inexact" References of This big guy, anyway's....

I never watched One Piece, this was a Comm ( That's why i put a watermark 😅 ), hope u like it ❤️

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but Luffy fighting Big Mom instead of Kaido makes much more narrative sense. Big Mom is the first Emperor Luffy meets in the new world, Luffy directly challenges her on Fishman Island, and Luffy basically ran the gauntlet of her crew on WCI. I feel like Luffys final fight in the 4 emperors saga being Big Mom would have felt like a better pay off of the entire post timeskip journey up to that point. If anything, Kid and Law fighting Kaido makes more sense for them too since Kid was previously defeated by Kaido and Law formed an alliance specifically to take down Kaido (even if that was just to get rid of Doflamingo)

I've only read the One Piece manga. At one point, I tried watching the anime, but I only made it as far as the Skypiea arc; after that, I focused on reading the manga, and I'm currently on chapter 803.

I wanted to ask: Which chapters from the entire series should I definitely watch in the anime? The ones that are considered really good, or where the anime adaptation was much better than the manga?

Since she was won in a Davy back fight she is part of the crew now, and she knows Rittonto who is the worlds greatest digger. Watch when Shelly shows up again she will be admiral level and take her crew to the one piece
