Just an FYI for those who need it: this is an exception among iguanas. They have no chill and frequently need to be rehomed because inexperienced people keep buying them and then regretting it. If this video made you want a reptile about the size of iguana, consider way superior and beginner friendly ackie monitor and blue tongue skink. Clint's Reptiles would be a good start on gathering info about pet reptiles

As a person who grew up with an iguana exactly like the one in this video, I 1000% support this message. It took a lot to get our sweet Steve (named for Steve Irwin) to be this docile. We walled off part of a room for his cage. We grew hibiscus flowers for his snacks. They are not easy!!

This comment thread just unlocked a childhood memory I've forgotten, this was maybe 20 years ago

A friend had a very chill iguana pet, until one day he took it to the vet for eye infection. The vet was very curious because this thing was too chill

Checking further, turns out his iguana had brain damage this whole time

Tldr: we thought this iguana was chill, instead it was retarded

Pictureing two kids talking about their cute iguana and how nice he is meanwhile he’s over in the corner eye twitching drooling doing things extra slow.

More like 7 kids including the iguana owner and his younger brother, but yeah probably wasn't that far from what you pictured

The iguana wasn't slow tbh, he's fast and nimble still especially feeding time. It was just super passive
