When my Cat was younger I had to lock him out of the bathroom when I was showering, and he would scream bloody murder with both paws all the way under the door because he would get in the shower every morning with me and I would be late because I was drying him off…

He just thought- we both need a morning shower! 🐈

Later he got over that, but I would never describe him as being fearful of or hating water. He is an explorer.

EDit: also I asked the vet about it because I was so confused what he was doing…

The Vet said he might have separation anxiety because we were so bonded which made him want to be included in all my activities.

And she also said that he may have originally wanted to protect me from the bathroom or thought I was trapped, but then realized warm water falling on him was actually not so bad so he kept doing it.

He has one of those water drinking fountains for cats and he bathes in it like a bird. He sticks his paws under it and his head. Maybe it reminds him of his childhood πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚
