Check out my new app for managing Teams and channels
Adding users to multiple Teams and channels can be a tedious task, so I decided to simplify it.
With my new app, you can:
- Sign in to your tenant
- Retrieve your Teams and channels
- Build a reusable list
- Add a user to the selected Teams and channels
- Edit and save the configuration as a JSON file for future use
Simple, reusable, and designed to make Teams administration easier.

This is why I can't wait until AI replaces all these garbage mobile developers
What fucking genius decided to put a bar on the editor that hides the text you are typing behind it? Please Microsoft FIRE your developers and REPLACE THEM with Claude.

Stuck in a maddening loop, can't sign into or create Microsoft account because email was previously a recovery email for a work account: any advice?
I'm trying to log into Microsoft Teams for an upcoming job interview.
It goes something like this:
put my email in, it says "we couldn't find an account with that username", prompts me to make a new account
it says "looks like you have an account" and that it's a recovery method for an existing account
it says to "recover username", then says "no account matches the info you provided"
Rinse and repeat.
What's the best option here, start fresh with a new email?

Excel 2016 – Recurring "Upload Failed" and Sign-in Errors When Saving Files to SharePoint/OneDrive
Hello everyone,
I'm working in IT Support in a corporate environment, and we're experiencing recurring Excel saving issues affecting multiple users.
Environment:
Microsoft Excel: Excel 2016 (desktop application).
File storage: Shared folders and files accessed through SharePoint or OneDrive.
Scope: Multiple users are affected intermittently. The issue does not occur for everyone at the same time.
Problem description:
When users open and edit Excel workbooks stored in shared locations, Excel displays the following warning:
"UPLOAD FAILED – You need to sign in to upload your changes to this location."
A Microsoft sign-in window also appears with messages such as:
"We couldn't find an account with that email address or phone number."
"There was a network problem. Please try again later."
These errors prevent users from reliably saving their changes to the original shared files.
We've noticed that these incidents have become increasingly frequent, resulting in more IT support tickets related to Excel saving problems.
Questions:
What could cause these recurring upload and authentication errors in Excel 2016 when working with SharePoint or OneDrive?
Could this be related to cached credentials, Office authentication, OneDrive synchronization, or Microsoft 365 configuration?
Since multiple users are affected intermittently, could this indicate an issue with the shared environment rather than individual computers?
What troubleshooting steps would you recommend to identify the root cause?
Are there any known compatibility issues between Excel 2016 and modern SharePoint/OneDrive authentication mechanisms that could explain this behavior?
We want to identify the root cause rather than repeatedly applying workarounds to individual computers.
Thank you for your help.

Sharing Issues-Automatically Defaults to Edit Access
I’m trying to share a Word document with teammates in the View Only setting. I’ll send it, then it somehow changes to allow Editing access. When I see who has access, it’ll say “Editing” next to their name. But when I click on the link permissions for that specific link, it’ll say “view only” next to their name. However, they can edit the document.
I’ve deleted all shared links, triple checked I’ve selected View Only, etc. and nothing seems to be working.
Is this a glitch or is there something I’m missing?

"Office Update" warning appearing in all apps, but everything's already updated
Microsoft's web page about Office for Mac updates says I need Sonoma. I already have Sonoma (14.8.7). When I'm in an Office app and I go to: Help, Check for Updates, and display the list, it says everything is already updated!! So why do I get the following message whenever I open Word, Excel, etc.: "Office Update: Your operating system needs to be updated to receive Office for Mac Updates"??? This just started happening today. (I use Word and Excel every day.)
These are my versions:
- Microsoft AutoUpdate 4.85
- Microsoft Excel 16.114
- Microsoft OneNote 16.114
- Microsoft Outlook 16.114
- Microsoft PowerPoint 16.114
- Microsoft Word 16.114
- OneDrive 26173.0906
