Confession Fed up and got into ONS - don't seem to regret

F24 here. I am working and in a relationship. I accept I am not perfect. I am a bit chubby and my current bf has made some comments has affected me. I have already posted about that (shared the link to that post at end). I have tried to move on from that. Still the comments kept coming. I got fed up.
So I decided to feel good on my own. I have already had a fling with a colleague. So I tried talking to him. He thought I was asking for a help regarding office work and he asked me to contact his another friend.
I was determined to do something and I talked to the friend and soon we got together for coffee and needless to say we spent the night together.
I am not gonna lie. He really made me feel good. Especially on what my bf commented. He made me feel worthy and precious.
I felt so good and even begged him for more. He treated me well and made me happy.
I don't know if he will continue seeing me. But for now I am happy that I got together with him.

Rant/Vent Yes I like Fair skinned Girls

This is an honest confession.

While I introspected what sort of physical features makes me attracted to the other person, basically an avg from different women that I have liked in the past

And I am saying this as a 36M, not even ashamed to say this

All the women that I was physically attracted to, across the years, had a few things with them which did make me feel they were 'hot'

  1. They were fairer than me. Never liked someone who was too fair, but it was a turn off for me if the other person was darker than me.

  2. And yeah I am wheatish brown lol. A color not that common, but still present in Punjabis, the older generation of males

  3. They were chubby. I am not that healthy, even though I have gained muscle, but I always felt chubby girls, would make me go 'aww'.

  4. Further introspected this, I realised I am a melons guy lol šŸ³ļø (No hate in the comments please).

  5. Girls who use 'Aap'' and 'Hanji'. Remembering my talking stages, I always do remember the sweet voice with these words. Girls who use words "Khaunga, jaunga" kinda made me have a huge turn off.

  6. Girls with pretty eyes. Oh my god. No comments. But on contrast I haven't found anyone with bad eyes.

  7. Women who didn't emotionally abused me. For the women I have been with, after a while it was visible whether they were using me as a therapist(which I am okay with, but not initially) rather than spending time and making memories.

  8. Girls who were communicative of their boundaries. All of them were good at giving hints if they were comfortable or not, but being absolutely clear about her boundaries definitely increased respect in my eyes for her.

  9. Girls who have an empathetic side to them. Being kind to kids, babies, flowers, animals.

Rant/Vent [TW] If you expose yourself on a video call, you aren't open-minded, you are digitally illiterate.

I need to get this off my chest because I see this online constantly, and I’ve recently dealt with 2-3 real cases of it. Streamers on YT/Kick are treating girls like digital products, and the victims don't even realize it.

I recently saw a girl on a stream. The streamer made her comfortable with gym talk, asked for a fit check, and then the trap started. He gamified it with "rock paper scissors" and Truth or Dare. As his chat sent UPIs, he got her to share deep personal details, give ratings, and even discussed her private parts.

Despite speaking fluent English, she was completely digitally illiterate. Obviously, she couldn’t slap him through the screen, but she could have easily just hit the skip button! Instead, she kept going. To avoid a YT ban, he then moved her to a private Yt membership/discord for extreme happy ending stuff.

This is exactly how girls get completely ruined for a few minutes of attention, and desperate boys ruin themselves financially by paying to watch it.

In the eyes of the law, this is a cybercrime. But here is the harsh reality: the streamer might pay a fine or do a few months in jail and walk free. But the girl? She ruined her own life due to a lack of digital education.

That data never gets deleted. It circulates forever on the dark web or Telegram, and one day, it will definitely come back in front of you or your family.

Please, never drop your guard online, even with a partner. There is always a third party watching or recording. The dark web is real, and these court cases are real. Stop being careless. Get digitally smart.

Confession I cheated on my ex

• Upvotes

We met on reddit and hit it off.

Those were the best 7-8 months of my life.

You pampered and loved me.

But what did I do? I emotionally cheated on you.

You forgave me but I was a coward.

Sorry for not taking a stand for us.

Sorry for hurting you.

It's your birthday soon.

I miss you.

It's been a year right? How come I can't move forward.

I resent myself for hurting you and my loved ones.

I resent myself for the failure that I am.

I'm disgusted by myself.

Rant/Vent It was my fucking fault.

It was my fucking fault for expecting it would be any better this year.

It was my fucking fault for thinking this puja would be spent well.

It was my fucking fault for keeping my hopes high.

It was my fucking fault for having wishes like that.

It was my fucking fault for dreaming it to be good like a stupid rotten idiotic ret ard.

It was my fucking fault for falling into the trap of the blissful curtains that covered the darker side.

It was my fucking fault to be so blind again.

It was my fucking fault to not listen to my brain again.

It was my fucking fault for refusing to listen to the logical part of brain again.

It was my fucking fault. Again.

It has latched onto me at this point. Why do I even hope.

Sad Could never get the confidence lost in childhood

I went to a really good school. I always felt less compared to people there. I was an introvert, never said anything. I wasn't pretty according to those weird standards they had and was very thin. The memory of teachers not choosing me just because I did not look that impressive is etched in my brain. Now, I am 22, I kinda had a glow up, people have been kind to me now. I am financially independent also but that little me is not able to grow out of all school memories. The traumas of being unwanted. The memories of being alone. All the validation the little me wanted, I am getting now; but I can't get over it. I feel I will never get my confidence back. I might always be the kid left.

Whenever I look at my photos of that age, all I feel is pity and I want to hug my little self. I might never be able to forgive those students, those teachers, and those relatives who have commented on my looks, my weight and everything they did. I hope no child goes through their childhood thinking about how to fix themselves.

I was lucky to get parents who have always been there and due to that I am what I am able to be today but my god people are really mean to you.

I hope I get my lost confidence back one day.

Rant/Vent I helped my best friend get her life together, and now that she has everything, I’m the one falling apart. (24M)

I’m 24M, and honestly, I’m going through one of the worst phases of my life. I don’t even know how to deal with this pain anymore.
For over a year, I had a best friend who meant absolutely everything to me. I was there for her emotionally, financially, helped her with her career, getting a well-paying job, and countless other things. I genuinely put her happiness before mine without ever expecting anything in return.
And what hurts the most is the timing.
Now she has a stable, well-paying job, a boyfriend she wants a future with, and most things in her life are finally sorted.
And just when everything started going right for her, our friendship ended, and she blocked me everywhere.
I’m not saying she owed me anything because I helped her. But it fucking hurts knowing I was there through her struggles, and now that I’m the one struggling, she’s no longer in my life.
Our friendship wasn’t perfect. We had repeated fights, blocking, and reconnecting throughout the year. I made mistakes too, especially during our final argument when I reacted emotionally and didn’t respect her boundaries. I genuinely regret that.
But she said that all I ever gave her was pain.
That sentence completely broke me.
Was I really just a burden? Did none of my efforts, sacrifices, or the good memories mean anything?
I keep replaying everything, blaming myself, wondering if I could’ve saved the friendship by doing something differently.
My mental health has completely deteriorated. I’m experiencing anxiety, chest heaviness, loss of appetite, sleepless nights, and absolutely no motivation. Some mornings, I barely have the energy to get out of bed.
I finally consulted a psychiatrist and started medication, but I’m struggling with my mood and how I’m feeling since starting it. Counseling was recommended, but regular sessions are expensive, and I can’t comfortably afford them.
And the saddest part? I still care about her.
Even after everything, I keep worrying whether she’s okay. I genuinely want her to be happy, even if I’m never part of her life again.
But who’s going to help me get my life back together?
I have a career, dreams, and responsibilities, yet I can’t concentrate on anything. I just wake up with this horrible emptiness every day.
I don’t want revenge. I don’t want her to suffer. I don’t even want her to come back out of guilt.
I just want to feel normal again. I want to stop crying, stop blaming myself, and stop missing someone who no longer wants me in her life.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How did you overcome the emotional dependency, guilt, and anxiety after losing someone you gave so much of yourself to?
I’m exhausted. I just want my peace back.

Rant/Vent Expecting quality gets diagnosed as OCD in this country

At home, I bought 3k worth of grey matte vinyl sheet (2 rolls of 24x200 inch) for my wardrobe interiors (the WPC turned brown for some reason)

Dad: "Stop looking for unreasonable perfection in everything.. It was fine the way it was also na"

At office, I'm going a bit beyond my assigned work items to create a better application/solution for our clients.

My colleagues: "Lol why working so hard.. just do enough to complete your work items and get paid na"

And I'm often criticized for having OCD or being a perfectionist.. I'm sick of it. I do not have OCD. These levels of quality are bare-minimum anywhere outside our country.

And this is a pattern I've noticed throughout my life, be it related to my own body/physique, road quality, aesthetics of places around me, or even the result of some hard-put efforts, criticizing anything automatically gets you that OCD label..

I'm not exactly actively complaining everyday about everything. But cmon, why is desiring for something better always replied with "Stop asking for perfection"

Confession I wish I was a dumb and hopeless kid

Because I did good in school, suddenly everyone around me labelled me as some sort of prodigy and it seemed like the only way I could ever make my parents happy was to score good grades. I never was and am not an ambitious person, I just want some decent food, a good gaming pc and I am set for life. Unfortunately for a person like me, who is supposedly destined for greatness or something idk, I have no other way but to succeed in life no matter what.

Made it to a top college in the country but now in my final year I am at a stage where I have just lost faith in my own ability to do anything. I don't have any discipline, my head is a mess, I have no friends, no one cares about me, my mom is a nervous wreck always scolding me for not putting enough efforts while my dad has way too much faith on me. Truth is I am just a lazy good-for-nothing imbecile who doesn't have any control on his mind or body, but because my parents have such a huge reputation in their circles, my parents' expectations from me means that if I fail or am not able to perform upto the mark, me and my parents will be the subject to utmost ridicule. I am fine with getting ridiculed for the rest of my life, that's all what I have known all my life anyway, but I would hate for my parents to be shamed because of me and am just sad about how there is nothing I can do about it.

I wish I was born with some kind of crippling disease or something or some kind of mental retardation so no one would have had any false hopes from me in the first place. I wish I could just lay down, freed from any burden or expectations, and then take my life when my parents eventually pass away as I am too much of a coward to end it now with my parents still alive. I wish my parents never had any hope in me to begin with, but I also know that my wishes are unrealistic af, considering that I am a single child as well. I truly have nothing to live for except for the fact that maybe someday I would have enough money of my own to play the games I want to and eat the food I want to, but I have more or less accepted defeat. I am not worthy of good things, I don't deserve to be happy for I haven't earned it yet, and never will.

Till the end of this year, I will put in as much efforts as I can, not in the hopes of making up for the time that I have wasted, but as to finally prove to the world that I truly am destined for failure in the end no matter what I do. Maybe after that I will try to prep for UPSC just to shut my parents up for a while as they REALLY want me to try for that, but ultimately I go to sleep every night praying that I just peacefully pass in my sleep, freed from it all

Confusing Thoughts Did you like school? I didn't.

33m here. I feel sometimes the most innocent decisions can shape your life a big way. The very first that I can remember was - getting late to the first day of school in my new school in standard 3 (being 8-9 years old). I sat on the last bench and made friends with whoever was there. Apparently, they were not so good students. Indian parents (my mom) are such that they scold you to why you are hanging with average students and not with good students. That created confusion in my head whether to be good friends with them or not. I reached out to the good students for friendship and they had already made their groups and they saw me like a weirdo. I can feel it even now that it felt so embarrassing and left out. Eventually, I stopped going to school. My attendance used to be bare minimum- 50-60%. My parents didn't know that I had no motivation to go to school as I had no friends. I used to have lunch alone, or sit near a tree while others played in recess. I remember when a classmate once told me, "you're a black spot for this house" (house were groups in which students were divided randomly, like I was in house green). I feel numb, bad, sad when I think how 7-8 years of my life was wasted. Later on in college, I opened up and met people who appreciated me for who I am, and surprisingly, I was funny, popular and a leader. Well, just putting it all out as I was feeling heavy for some reason.

Sad I want this year to be over and maybe my life too

Every worst possible thing that could ever happen to me happened in this year

This year made me an atheist for life

I was a topper and now I am just a failure

Despite putting my 100x efforts I got nothing

I tried multiple times but failed

I can't take this anymore

No one loves me

I just feel like I am a burden

Why is it so hard for me to understand this thing that I will be just a lower class in India who are struggling in their life barely earning 3-4lpa for the rest of their life

Rant/Vent Life is meant to change

So I just want to vent it out.

This is a part of me no one knows about,

I liked a girl when I was in school, we started talking after 1-2 years we got in a relationship.

We dated for 5 years all through our college.

She was muslim and I am hindu, we knew after college marriage is just not possible, so we decided to break up when we both still loved each other.

Last day when we met and decided we were breaking up, we sat at a cafe for 6-7 hours and just kept talking about everything in life, family, friends etc. our bond was strong.

Then I guess a year after our break up, she got married. My life had changed until then, I lost my parents to an accident and had to start working etc to make ends meet.

Actually none of my friends/family knows about this because we were in same school/college and she was muslim so It was never safe for people to know about her relationship with me.

Tonight I just felt I should let this out. I don't remember her or want her back nothing like that, I have moved on with my life already. I am working on myself and will try to date after some time.

Rant/Vent I feel like a f*cken loser.

I (M22) feel very lonely, especially around festive seasons, I live with my family, have a few friend but still feel alone.Ā

It's not about having a gf cuz I don't feel like I'm ready to be in a relationship with anyone.Ā

Never went out of my town, never met new people, never made new friends, stuck at a 3 tier college in my hometown. Watching all the classmates from my school accomplish so many things in their life makes me feel worthless.

I can't share things with my family whenever I do it ends up in a quarrel. What my family and friends believe in and like I don't because of this I always feel alienated. Everything in my life is a fucked up rn.

Rant/Vent Torn acl

Yesterday I went to a concert, and while dancing and jumping i landed on my foot in a twisted way and my left knee gave up,

I got an xray and an mri done today, turns out, my acl is torn and I'll need surgery,

Im scared, the surgery is horrible, the pain after the surgery is horrible, it takes 9-12 months of recovery

Im gonna miss out on so much of my 3rd year college life, I think I can somehow manage physical pain, but im really really really ducking scared of my mental health

I tend to overthink a lot, and these next few months, ik its gonna be hell

Rant/Vent 22M, never been in a relationship. Is something wrong with me?

I’m 22M, and I’ve never dated anyone or even had female friends. I’ve talked to a few girls, but I always end up getting ghosted.

I was too shy to approach girls in college, and since it was an engineering college, there weren’t many girls anyway. Sometimes I feel like I’m not good-looking enough for anyone to be interested in me, not even as a friend.

Seeing people my age and even those 2–3 years younger than me in relationships makes me question myself. Honestly, it feels depressing sometimes, and I feel really low thinking about how I’ve never experienced any of this.

I don’t blame anyone, but I keep wondering if it’s my looks, my shyness, or something else.
Has anyone been through the same thing? Did things eventually get better for you?

Sad I just cried after seeing my reflection.

So I got recently diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder. I started therapy and therapist told me to only look into mirror when I actually need to use it to stop me from compulsively checking mirror. It was not easy for me to do that but I tried but I think it backfired because I don't look into mirror now at all. Whenever I am infront of mirror I instinctively look away because I think if I see my reflection I'll see how ugly I am and it will make me utterly miserable. I just looked into mirror ended up crying. Atp I don't even know what I expect my reflection to look like.

This is so exhausting :'(
