I came across this Japanese YouTube video about the real history behind ninja, and I wanted to share it here. It's not my channel. It's in Japanese, but it has English subtitles. Here's a quick summary of what it covers:

- Ninja weren't mainly assassins. Their real job was gathering information, sabotage, and spreading misinformation.

- Iga and Koga were neighbors across the mountains, and the video argues they weren't sworn enemies. Iga ninja worked more like freelancers for hire, while Koga was more tied to the local Rokkaku clan.

- After Honnoji in 1582, Tokugawa Ieyasu escaped through the Iga mountains with local help, and later employed Iga men in Edo. The Hanzomon gate is said to be named after Hattori Hanzo's residence.

- The word "ninja" itself only became the common term in the 20th century. Earlier, they went by many regional names.

One caveat: the video tells a story about an Iga and a Koga agent meeting on a mountain road in 1599 and chatting instead of fighting. It's a great scene, but I couldn't find where it comes from, so I'd treat it as illustrative rather than documented.

Has anyone here read good sources on how Iga and Koga actually got along?

The Shinobi Shuttle Bus

--------------------

The Shinobi Shuttle is a ninja stealth bus recognizable by the giant shuriken horns mounted on its roof, it's also a versatile front-engined bus chassis!

--------------------

The shurikens serve as the shuttle's signature horns, while its windshield forms a lively face framed by a ninja-style mask pattern on the windshield

--------------------

Fast, dependable, and stealthy, the Shinobi Shuttle carries passengers on adventures while proudly representing the spirit of a shinobi.

Fair to say one of my inspirations 🔥✌🏻

Not sure where to post this, but I've been certified as a ninja master by a shuriken throwing booth in Kyoto. Are there any open positions for this?

Which one works better, they have been working together and clone and Rasengan has always come together.

I posted a video where I played Ninja Challenge on Roblox. It’s based on Ninja Warrior (which is a massive obstacle course). Any support and feedback would be greatly appreciated! https://youtu.be/SNLu7ZHt_gM?is=wNRVQaBIjhLHe7tZ

Hey 👋, I love science.. did you know irl the first thing a real ninja learns at around the age of 6 is chemistry (specifically explosives).. anyway I love how science demystifies a lot of things.. anything is possible with it.

I recently developed a sort of shunshin crotch. A soft exosuit that enhances movement. In theory I can glide with it too but I haven’t pushed it that far.

So I was wondering if there were others like me who are pushing the boundaries of what’s “possible”. If you do exist, feel free to dm me so we can make a community and advance quicker.

One of the community members of Branch started a story and we need your help to keep it going. Branch is a collaborative video platform where users determine what happens next in a story.

So far we have 3 branches and we want to see how far we can take this.

They are called: "Emonjas".

They do have extremely ninja skills but are harmless, they never carry weapons!

They are Emo Ninjas that wear a full striped bodysuit with a balaclava hood. No accessories, The suit fully covers the body and hair. They have mitten‑like tubby hands, a small rounded pot‑belly, and a soft, thick chibi build.

The suit has a gentle neon emo ninja ball head icon accent on the lower back area.

They are also dark blue ninjas with black stripes, emo goth anime-tired eyes too!

All of the Emonjas all look the same... Y2k aesthetic style!
