Discussion Please rate my original character!
Ren Yuki — My OC from Kirigakure
Hey! I've been working on this Naruto OC for a while and wanted to share him here. I'd love to hear what you guys think!
Name: Ren Yuki
Village: Kirigakure
Clan: Yuki
Age: 24
Rank: Jōnin (recently promoted)
Affiliation: ANBU / Hunter-nin
Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release (Hyōton)
Background
Ren is a descendant of the Yuki clan, which was persecuted during Kirigakure's Bloody Mist era. His mother fled the village to protect them both, and although she wasn't a particularly skilled shinobi, she taught him what she knew about their clan's Ice Release.
They eventually returned to Kirigakure when the village began to change. His mother never really stopped fearing that the persecution might happen again, but Ren believes in the village it has become. He loves Kirigakure and wants to protect it, although he isn't the kind of person who would blindly follow an order he believes is wrong.
Personality and his condition
Ren is quiet, observant and not particularly sociable, but he gets along well with the people he trusts. He's also fairly pragmatic and doesn't see much point in dwelling on things he can't change.
Both he and his mother suffer from a hereditary heart condition. His mother's condition has progressed to the point where she is terminally ill, while Ren can still live and work as a shinobi, provided he knows his limits. Prolonged physical exertion can cause him to collapse, and pushing himself too far can be fatal.
He doesn't resent this or see himself as helpless because of it. Instead, he tries to make the most of what he can do. He trains to stay in shape, but he can't keep up with the endurance of a healthy shinobi forever, so he relies more on preparation and strategy.
He also hides how bad his condition can get from his mother. He doesn't want to make her worry about losing him while she's already facing her own illness.
Fighting style
Ren specializes in tracking, ambushes and controlling the battlefield. Rather than overpowering an opponent, he tries to limit their options and finish the fight before it turns into a prolonged battle.
He uses Ice Release to set traps, make surfaces slippery, create small defensive barriers and launch ice spikes when he needs a stronger attack. His main weapons are ordinary senbon, which he uses with precision, and he carries a few short knives as backup.
He also has some Water Release training, mostly useful for underwater infiltration, and uses Wind Release for minor movement assistance. Neither is as developed as his Ice Release.
His biggest weakness is endurance. If an opponent survives his initial attacks and forces him into a long fight, Ren can quickly find himself at a disadvantage.
His mentor
Ren was trained by an experienced hunter-nin who is considered one of the best in Kirigakure. He's around 55 years old, nearly 1.95 m tall, heavily scarred and still an intimidating opponent despite no longer being at his peak.
Interestingly, his preferred fighting style is taijutsu. He's an excellent tracker and assassin, but he's also the kind of hunter who can follow a target for hours and then finish the job at close range.
He served during the Bloody Mist era and has never tried to hide that part of his past from Ren. Their relationship isn't based on pretending those years never happened. Ren knows what his mentor was involved in, but also recognizes the person he has become since then.
The mentor is strict and rarely gives praise, although he genuinely cares about Ren's well-being. Ren, in turn, trusts his judgment more than anyone else's when it comes to military matters, even though he still respects the Mizukage's authority.
Their fighting styles are quite different: his mentor prefers to hunt down his targets directly, while Ren prefers to control their movements and leave them with fewer and fewer ways to escape.
A mission that changed things
One of the most important events in Ren's life happened during a mission when his heart condition finally caught up with him and he could no longer continue. A teammate had to save him and suffered devastating injuries in the process, losing several limbs.
The teammate was eventually transferred to Kirigakure's Intelligence Division, where he now does administrative work. He's still serving the village, but this was never the life he wanted for himself.
He doesn't openly blame Ren, and they can still speak and work together, but things between them have never quite returned to how they were before. Ren knows that his teammate lost a future he had worked for, and that knowing this doesn't make the situation any easier.
The incident also gave some people another reason to question whether a Yuki shinobi with a heart condition should be sent on dangerous missions. Others judge Ren more fairly, based on his actual performance. He doesn't try to convince everyone to like him; he just keeps doing his job, while being more careful about the risks he asks others to take.
Ultimately, Ren wants to protect the Kirigakure he grew up to believe in. His mother remembers the village as something to fear, while he sees something worth fighting for. I think that difference between them is one of the most important parts of his character.

Interest Watched naruto for the first time.
What an amazing experience it was. Here are my two cents on the show.
Naruto og I enjoyed more than shippuden because everyone had a personality in OG, no one was fangirling over naruto like crazy neither naruto over sasuke. Some very intense fights like Lee vs Gaara, Gaara vs Naruto, team 7 vs Zabuza, Sasuke retrieval arc and many more. Frankly I hated match between Ino and Sakura in chunin exam cause fighting over a boy brother ew. I found this plot very triggering for me cause female friendships are really precious. Frankly i hated Sakura in og naruto.
But when i started shippuden, every character had such a yummy glow up i really liked that part. Sakura became my favorite character but still i neither shipped her with sasuke nor naruto. Kakashi's backstory was straight up slow poisoned death. The scene where he was washing his hands off after chidori-ing Rin was so disturbing yet relatable to PTSD bearers.
I really shipped Jiraya with Tsunade until 106 joke. It was just disgusting. I really liked and appreciated Jiraya Sensei but Dan was so respectful and considerate towards Tsunade.
My favorite couple was ofc Minato and Kushina, Minato is so much husband material that I just jskskskskks and Kushina is so cool.
Whole pain arc was just absolute cinema.
About 4th great ninja war, it was more of a psychological warfare, fighting against their dead loved ones, ugh the resilience it required.
Powershow of Madara, the ghost of Uchiha was high-key entertaining. All the episodes until Obito stood by him, i was sat.
About Rin and Obito, the whole love triangle was just so messy. I never really bought that story like na-uh, this is disturbing. In fact the whole idea of infinite tsukyomi was just so lame. Madara should have started smoking some w**d instead of this bs dream.
Sasuke vs naruto final showdown in death valley was my favorite fight. It was peak for me.
Last but not least, Orochimaru should've ha*ged till death publicly
(These are screenshots taken from my favourite scenes, i have a lot of them)
And that how Naruto became one of my favorite shows.

Question Why do civilians in Naruto hardly ever use chakra for self-defense or anything else? (Genuine question)
Edit: (I changed the title because it wasn't really my original thought)
Isn't everyone in the Naruto universe supposed to have chakra, even if the amount they possess varies from person to person? If so, why do ordinary civilians hardly ever seem to use it?
I'm not saying they should become shinobi, ANBU, or anything like that, but wouldn't it make sense for the Hokage and the other kages to establish basic self-defense training for their civilians? Why doesn't this seem to be a priority? They live in a world where villages can be attacked at any moment, and ordinary people are mostly the ones who suffer the most.
Nobody expects them to fight monsters like Orochimaru, the Akatsuki, Kaguya, or the Otsutsuki, but surely they could learn a few basic techniques to defend themselves against weaker threats or at least have a better chance of surviving an attack?
And we literally have Sakura as an example. She doesn't come from any known shinobi clan, and her parents are ordinary civilians, yet look at what she accomplished through training and hard work. I'm also not saying every civilian should reach her level, especially since she became (after Naruto: The Last) an exceptionally skilled kunoichi and medical ninja but surely they could learn even a fraction of what she knows if they were willing to put in the effort?
Are civilians just too lazy to learn, have the Kages failed them, or do they simply prefer not to get involved in the dangerous shinobi lifestyle?
(Just to clarify, in Naruto Shippuden episode 464, Hagoromo taught ordinary people how to use chakra through Ninshu... so they can obviously learn how to use it)
Edit 2: I feel like nobody actually read the entire post and most people just stopped at the title. I genuinely want to have a proper discussion with people who took the time to read the whole thing.

Question What is kekkei genkai?
Rewatching Naruto and I feel like the definition of “kekkei genkai” is muddy when the show talks about it. Is it jutsu that gets passed down through blood specifically? Or is it just combining two chakra natures?

Discussion Personal Hot take Prime Ten Tails Jinchuriki Hagoromo is stronger than Kaguya
He was born with half of her power/chakra and was born with the Rinnegan. Then he learned Senjutsu from the Toads and got acces to Six Paths Senjutsu. He ends up defeating and sealing Kaguya with the help of his brother Hamura. After that he becomes the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails until his old age where he makes the 9 other bijus.
Just imagine how big of a boost Hagoromo got after becoming it's Jinchuriki.
Plus Hagoromos main thing is chakra control and what he could do with it like no one comes close to his level of mastery over chakra.
Also Juubidara was getting close to Old Man Ghost Hagoromos power not Prime Ten Tails Jinchuriki Hagoromo.
Plus half of old Man Ghost Hagoromos chakra was enough to make Naruto and Sasuke near equals to Juubidara.

Analysis Hagoromo was spineless and that's why everything turned out the way it did
He's just spineless and clueless what to do at least that's what is portrayed.
If he had the balls to say whatever Indra was doing is BS and selfish maybe he could have changed but mf said nothing.
Just funny I think
EDIT: my issue is he didn't have the balls to say if something was wrong or not when he saw Indra was doing it
Maybe just convenient and bad writing?

Merchandise Tobirama Senju
I am addicted to blind box figures, and Blokees makes some of the best. This is from their Galaxy series.
I don’t know too much about this character yet, as I’ve only just started looking into him after pulling the figure. But based on the clips I’ve seen, it seems like he is pretty powerful. Is that right? Where does he rank in the power hierarchy, according to the lore?

Discussion What If Sakura and Rock Lee Got Married and Had a Child? Would Their Baby Be the Strongest Shinobi in the Naruto Verse? 💀🔥
Okay, hear me out, guys. 😂🔥
What if Sakura Haruno and Rock Lee had gotten married and had a child? Would their child have the potential to become one of the strongest shinobi in the entire Naruto universe?
I know this sounds crazy, but when you think about what both parents bring to the table, the possibilities are actually insane.
🥊 1. Rock Lee's Taijutsu + Sakura's Monster Strength
Let's start with the most obvious combination.
Rock Lee is one of the hardest-working taijutsu specialists in the series. Even without relying on ninjutsu or genjutsu, he pushed his physical abilities to extraordinary levels through brutal training.
Then we have Sakura, whose monstrous physical strength comes from exceptional chakra control and concentrated chakra-enhanced strikes.
Now imagine their child growing up with Lee's dedication to physical training and Sakura's knowledge of chakra control.
If the child inherited the right aptitude and received proper training, they could potentially develop a fighting style that combines devastating chakra-enhanced punches with incredible speed, stamina, and taijutsu.
Imagine getting hit by a punch with Sakura-level destructive power while trying to defend against Lee-style taijutsu combinations. 💀
🔥 2. What If Their Child Mastered the Eight Gates?
This is where things get ridiculous.
Rock Lee trained to use the Eight Gates, a technique that removes the body's natural limitations at the cost of severe physical damage. The higher the gate, the greater the power—and the greater the risk.
Now imagine their child learning the Eight Gates while also mastering Sakura's chakra control.
Could they use precise chakra control to improve their stamina management, medical knowledge, or recovery during training?
Maybe. But we shouldn't assume that Sakura's abilities would automatically eliminate the Eight Gates' drawbacks. The technique places enormous strain on the body, and chakra control alone doesn't cancel that out.
Still, a shinobi who combined elite taijutsu, chakra-enhanced strength, and mastery of the Eight Gates would be terrifying.
Imagine Sakura's strength combined with the power of the Eighth Gate. WHO IS SURVIVING THAT? 😭🔥
🩺 3. What If They Also Learned Medical Ninjutsu?
Sakura is an exceptional medical ninja, and her knowledge could give their child a major advantage if she trained them in the same field.
Understanding anatomy, injuries, chakra control, and battlefield medicine could help the child become a more intelligent and versatile fighter.
However, medical ninjutsu wouldn't automatically heal the damage caused by opening the Eight Gates, especially the Eighth Gate's potentially fatal consequences.
Even so, combining medical knowledge with elite physical combat could make this shinobi much more dangerous than a fighter who relies on strength alone.
🧠 4. Would Their Child Have the Potential to Surpass Naruto and Sasuke?
This is the real debate.
Naruto possesses extraordinary chakra reserves, powerful inherited and acquired abilities, and immense battle experience.
Sasuke has the Sharingan and, historically, the Rinnegan, along with exceptional intelligence and a huge arsenal of techniques.
Their hypothetical child wouldn't automatically inherit their parents' exact abilities, and we have no canon evidence that Sakura's chakra-enhanced strength or Lee's Eight Gates mastery would pass genetically to their child.
But if we're talking about potential rather than guaranteed abilities, a child who inherited favorable physical traits, trained relentlessly, mastered chakra control, and learned the Eight Gates could become an absolute monster in close combat.
Would that be enough to surpass Naruto and Sasuke at their peaks? That's much harder to prove, especially considering their strongest Six Paths-era abilities.
Still, I think this hypothetical character could become one of the most frightening taijutsu specialists in the entire franchise.
👑 5. The Most Interesting Part: Their Child Would Have to Earn It
What makes this combination interesting isn't just the possibility of inherited talent.
It's the contrast between the parents.
Sakura represents precision, intelligence, medical knowledge, and chakra control. Lee represents relentless effort, discipline, and the determination to overcome physical limitations.
Imagine growing up with Sakura teaching you the science of combat while Lee makes you train until you've mastered the fundamentals.
That child could become a shinobi who combines intelligence with extraordinary physical combat skills.
And if they inherited even a fraction of their parents' determination?
The training arc alone would be legendary. 😂🔥
💬 Now I want to hear your theories!
Would Sakura and Rock Lee's child have the potential to become the strongest taijutsu user in the Naruto universe?
Could they combine Sakura's chakra-enhanced strength with the Eight Gates?
Would medical ninjutsu give them any meaningful advantage against the Eight Gates' drawbacks?
Could this hypothetical shinobi defeat Might Guy, Madara, or the strongest versions of Naruto and Sasuke?
If you could design this character, what abilities and fighting style would you give them?
Personally, I think their child could become an absolute nightmare in close combat—but being the strongest character in the entire Naruto verse is a whole different level.
What do you guys think? Is this child the ultimate taijutsu prodigy, or am I cooking too hard? 💀🔥

Question Why don’t Sasori just merge himself with the 3rd kazekage
So as we all know, Sasori’s consciousness existed within his core. As long as his core is still active, he can switch bodies as much as he wants; this is also shown after his main body is sealed in which he transfers his core to another puppet. With this knowledge of his abilities, why did he not put his core in his strongest puppet or at the very least, a stronger puppet with more gadget than his true body.

How would you describe Suigetsu as a character (whether it's his personality, skills, goals, contributions etc.)?

Discussion The case of Yukata and Matsuri needs to be studied.
>They debutted in the filler arc that started in episode 216 of OG Naruto, as two kunoichis that are major Gaara fangirls (Technically, Matsuri appeared in the manga in chapter 280, but she didn't even had a name and was only one scene).
>They got canonized and appeared in the Fourth Ninja War.
>They survived Madara's meteors.
>They survived Juubi's attack which also got Neji killed.
>And in the end, they survived the war.
Bro, they got better treatment than plenty of Naruto characters 😭

Question Questioning on how he could've used the Rasenshruiken in the beginning
So something I always wondered when I first read this scene in the Manga, Tsunade forbade Naruto from ever using the Rasenshruiken because of the equal damage it does in return. Was there ever anyone who could've perhaps pointed out that he could use a shadow clone to deliver the attack while his real body stayed back?
If its been explained then I'd love to know, or if this is just a plot point not thought about.
