Resturant Recs // Questions Beachfront Workspace?

I’m tagging along on a work trip with my partner. I can work remote, and can use the provided hotel. It’s on the 17 bypass. Are there any restaurants or coffee shops that have a good beachy setup, where I could work for a few hours (and patronize) as an alternative? Also, any location tips for good shark tooth hunting? Thanks! 😊

Go to eMYRge downtown it’s a Cowork space on 9th Ave N and a short walk to the beach

The best place for shark's teeth changes daily. Your best bet is to look for somewhere with lots of shell beds, lots of material that the sand has washed up or uncovered. If it is flat, pretty featureless sand, try another spot. You won't have much luck without shell material.

Thank you. I love finding them at Edisto or Folly, but Myrtle seems to have fewer of the areas you’re describing. I’ve had luck near the State Park or up north towards Cherry Grove in the past, but it’s been years.

I was there two weeks ago. The beach outside our place was great, full of shell beds for 4 days then smooth as glass for three. I don't know enough about what causes it to know why. But it was crazy. We still found some on the smooth beaches bit it was a lot more effort and not nearly as productive.

Are you ok Surfside ? I agree with Neal and Pam’s if so. Work during day? Depending on where your hotel/condo is located there are plenty of options. Shells and shark teeth are crazy good right now. Storms and dredging so lots to find.

Thank you! I’m excited to do some hunting around work. Or doing some work around the beach combing.

The pier at 2nd Ave North down to 5th or 6th Ave S have been great for finding shark teeth. Go shortly before or after high tide if you can.

I would go down to Surfside beach and set up outside at Jim and Pam's. If you want MB proper, any of the rooftop places have huge outside area that won't be crowded this time of year. Do you need wifi? The entire Grand Strand is covered in shells and teeth rn.

Surfside is a good idea. I was just going to use my hotspot. Is Jim and Pam’s the same as Neal and Pam’s? I only saw the latter when looking. Thanks for the idea!
