Mod Post Hey everyone from r/Motorola!

Hi,

So r/Motorola has been running "moderator-less" for the past 6 months, in that case I have taken over as top mod currently and here are some of the changes that I have done.

What changes have been done to the sub?

  1. Automod has had some slight rule changes to how it moderates, now you don't need to put that annoying flair in brackets before the post title. This should hopefully clear up some of the accidentally banned posts that looked fine in the long run.
  2. New Post flairs:
    1. Hardware Problems/Issue, is for physical problems with a device that you may have questions with.
    2. Software Problems/Issue, is for software problems that don't feel as "normal" that what it normally is.
    3. Need Help in general, is for if you don't know what flair to put down for your device.
    4. Update, is for follow ups from a previous post.
    5. Question, is for questions about a device or support options about a device.
    6. Product announcements, is for official product announcements from either Motorola (with link provided) official social accounts or articles about the device that is being announced.
    7. Product renderings, is for speculation about a upcoming device but is not a confirmed device.
    8. News, is for anything that is news about Motorola but not Lenovo, Please do not post the same article from the same source more than once, if you do that will result in your post being taken down.
    9. Poll, is for anyone wanting to take a poll from the community, however to prevent spam a poll must be issued by a moderator, want to make your own poll just simply send us a message via modmail.
  3. New User flairs:
    1. Added some new flairs for the new devices that has came out in the past few years.
    2. "(enter series)" is for you to modify so it's easier to identify your device, this can be the generation number (5,6,7 or 100 for example), the model year (stylus 2021 for example) and if you don't know your devices model name just find it in the settings (Settings > About Phone > Model), this should start with "XT-" and 4-5 numbers following it.
    3. If you can't find your device model just send us a message via modmail.
  4. New Rules:
    1. Read the sidebar before posting, most of these rules are in place to either prevent spam or to keep everything in line with stuff being Motorola on this sub.
  5. Moderators:
    1. u/MotoAgents is a Motorola Employee/Help agent that can help you with the problems that you post, if you have contacted Motorola support through the website and still need help please keep your case number handy as he may be able to continue helping you with your case.
    2. Me, I'm here to keep the rules up to date and make sure the community is in balance, just to fully disclose this that I am not a Motorola employee and most of my responses are from experience or stuff that I have seen on the Internet.
    3. At the moment we are not taking Moderator applications, however that may change in the future if this community does grow.

If you have any suggestions for the mods please leave a comment if you think something should be added.

Question Red magic user wanting to switch to Motorola

• Upvotes

Hi there, the new Motorola Signature 27 really caught my eye this year compared to other phones. I was wondering:

- How is Motorola as a company? (Customer service)

- How easy is it for local repair stores to source parts?

- How easy is the warranty service?

- How are the updates for the Motorola phones? Do you guys receive regular updates?

- Does Motorola care about bug fixes?

- Are there regular accessories, for example like screen protectors for the Motorola phones and cases?

- Is the software good or is it bloated? Does it come with intuitive features rather than gimmicks?

- How is the camera processing?

Question It seems mobile data toggle is irritating..

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Since updating to Android 17 on my Moto Edge 60 Pro, toggling mobile data has become an extra-step process. Unlike Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, which toggle instantly with a single tap, clicking mobile data opens an intermediate dialogue box that requires a second confirmation. Is there a setting to fix this behavior?

Or if not then this needs to be streamlined in a future software update.

Android 17 - North America - RAZR Ultra 2026

Just got the Android 17 update on my RAZR Ultra 2026 North America Unlocked version. Thought I would share as I have personally been chomping at the bit for this update ^^
My carrier is T-Mobile but I'm not certain that matters with the Unlocked version but it might have.

Software Problem/Issue Motorala signature camera

Photos often come out hazy and suffer from excessive motion blur, especially when capturing people or moving subjects. Night photography is another major weakness, with poor image processing that ruins the overall quality.

The camera consistently removes the warm yellow tones from photos, making them look too white and unnatural. Please preserve the natural warm lighting and yellow tones for a more realistic look.

As a former Xiaomi 14 Civi user, I can confidently say that the image processing on this phone is rubbish. The camera sensor has genuine potential, but the poor software processing completely ruins it.

What's the point of having a good camera sensor if the software can't do justice to it?

Edge 60 Pro not supporting Oticon Reveal hearing aids properly

• Upvotes

The oticon app works and can find the hearing aids via bluetooth. There is a problem specifically with phone calls. I ruled out the hearing aids by installing the app and pairing on my S26 (really underwhelming phone by the way). Everything worked fine on that.

We tested two way communication using a facebook call. Came through clear and the builtin mic on the hearing aid was definitely working. Phone calls yield a full volume chopped nightmare. It comes through on both ends, but for the user of the hearing aids it's unbelievably loud. I can hear them from across the room. It's like the audio is at 100% volume being pulsed at a pretty decent number of Hz. There is definitely audio being carried across in the noise but there is something clearly wrong. We tried another dialer app to try and eliminate more variables. Same issue with that app too. So it's something specifically to do with phone calls.

I can't narrow it down any more. All I can think of is maybe some weird bug in an Audio codec that the phone is specifically using for telephony, or some kind of related duplex bug.

I'd really appreciate some help with this. The phone is maybe a month old. The ideal outcome is that the hearing aids can function fully with the phone. The only other outcome is to get a refund on the phone somehow to replace it with something else. As far as I know it should have been compatible but it has a showstopping issue. It's a shame because it's a nice phone.

Need help in general Edge 70 Android 17 problema na rede móvel

Bom.

I purchased a motorola signature phone from flipkart and there was no fingerprint sensor anywhere. Connecting with human support over phone is nightmare. Mails are unanswered. Twitter posts caught their attention because of reputation risk.

Need help in general Terrible Experience with Motorola Service

I bought an Edge 60 pro from offline store on 30th Sept. Device had a day 1 DOA due to charging issue. The retailer took the device signing that it was DoA. Later I noticed the Service Centre tried to say on the intake that phone had scratches, not applicable for DoA. Reminder, it's Day 1 DoA. I'm in India.

I went to the service centre. I have recordings where they admit it's their "protocol" to write scratches to any new intake. The system doesn't even let them write anything else, according to them. Anyway, got it corrected to Good condition and DoA applicable. Stamped and signed.

Now, Motorola keeps saying they don't have Edge 60 pro and I must take the Edge 70 fusion as replacement. Of course, I refused. Has been 15+ days without a satisfactory resolution. I have mailed grievancemoto, grievancelenovo, even nitinsvchead without a reply back.

Questions is, anyone knows corporate emails that actually work? If not, I'm aggrieved enough to apply to consumer courts now. Day 1 DoA and can't get me a phone that preserves functionality. Shameful. Disgraceful.

People can DM me with the emails or methods that helped them. I want to amicably resolve the issue, if not, I'm just gonna serve them legal notice and file now.

Question Signature 27 bi-monthly security updates

Post image

Motorola has published more details on their official forum regarding software support - Signature 27 will receive bi-monthly security updates. Do you think an ultra-flagship like this one should have monthly updates like Pixel and Galaxy phones do?

Software Problem/Issue 5G turned off my itself

So my friend's Motorola flip phone's 5G turned off yesterday and we're trying to get it back. Customer service wasn't much help for us.

We tried all the recommended solutions. The SIM card status isn't available. We're not risking resetting all the network.

Hardware Problem/Issue Android 17 kill my battery (Edge 60 pro)

The Android 17 update dramatically drained my phone's battery. It's losing over 10% overnight, and even when I'm not using it, it still drops a lot. This all started right after the Android 17 update. It's been over a week now and the battery usage hasn't stabilized. I've checked the battery usage per app and everything looks the same. It's ridiculous that my battery life is now just as bad as my Poco X6 Pro from a couple of years ago, which had a smaller battery.
