The hits keep coming. Malfitano, the patron saint of "I've been playing fair the whole time" just revealed his true colors. He is fully exposed with his latest Instagram interview. He claimed that nobody was discussing policy, yet he had to have known his mailers were going to land. Fake outrage on his part. He pulls an article from six years ago, when Tyller Williamson wasn't the Mayor of Monterey and then slices out the quotes to highlight "defunding" the police. Article was written after the George Floyd murder. If you actually read the article you would see that defunding and reallocating resources seem to be the heart of the debate. And if you looked at Tyller's voting record as a council member and Mayor, I think Chief Huber would agree they mended those fences. And even then, council members don't control the budget - that would be the city manager. Even the Mayor doesn't do that work... Let's just call this out now and say that Ed Smith, current D2 council member is going to need to step up and own this mess. The misguided hatred of Tyller, is unmasked and should be discussed, researched, and exposed. So let's add some contrast of the candidates for additional flavor, since we seem to like digging into people's - 32 formal court/public record entries from 1986 - 2025. Federal SAM exclusion, UCC Collateral/Debt Filings (7 of those), Government Tax Liens (4 of those), Civil Judgments (3 of those in 3 counties), and 17 Traffic/Infraction Court Filings... It is all in the public record, could have thrown in the recent TRO filing, but who needs that headache? It is all in newspaper articles, court filings, background documents, they can't all be lying. Scream and yell all you want about defamation, but remember that when you sue people depositions can be fun for everyone. Like this quote from your deposition when you blew up a building, "I’m sure I came to the conclusion that a permit was needed, but it didn’t rise to the level in my mind that I should go pull one. I thought I was just trying to find a space to move a gas line." Thoughtfulness, consideration, kindness, and ownership are what Monterey deserves, not victimhood. Vote like it matters who runs your city and its resources. This is beyond budget deficits now...this is qualifications.

🤥 Via livestream: “Residents of Monterey: hear this. The restraining order was denied, okay? The fearmongers are trying to make you understand that this guy is always in legal trouble. I’m never in legal trouble. I don’t lose lawsuits. You know why? Because I never do anything wrong.” 🐂 💩

“He can’t keep control of his Chambers.”
“A strong leader would have said, ‘you can’t say that kind of stuff here, sit down. Well, [Tyller] wasn’t doing that, he called them up… They defame me in public. He doesn’t have protection. First Amendment doesn’t protect that. I don’t know if he’s not smart enough to know that or if Esther didn’t do enough research to know that, but there’s that line, and that’s why I had to serve some of these people to say, look, you’ve crossed the line, and now I need answers.”
“Tyller had to be served in a more aggressive fashion. I had to draw the line, people.”

NextDoor has become a useless platform to try and discuss issues. The moderators are simply reporting and shutting down opposition voices at an alarming rate because their micro Mussolini candidate can't handle criticism. He went so far last night to essentially squash the First Amendment rights of every citizen because he thinks he understands the law. How do you best explain that you don't understand how government works, yet pretend you know how government works? Well...if you watch this clown, you'll get a sense of how he doesn't agree with the First Amendment - at all. Attached a video that I found this morning, I'd love to see this heat brought to council meetings on a regular basis. And this is actually about something that matters. Who, in Monterey, hasn't sat through a council meeting where we heard wild tales of Stephen King plotting John Lennnon's demise? I believe that guy sang a song, in the spirit and voice of Taylor Swift, at his last meeting...How we long for simpler days of a crazy town crier. Go vote. It's okay to disagree with candidates you vote for. It's not okay to put incompetence in office.Say it and mean it.

Anyone have recent experience with Groome transport? Is it reliable? Does it wait a bit if flight is delayed?

I was wondering if anyone can suggest places/charities that accept maternity and baby items (milk, pads, clothes, grooming kits etc) around Monterey county. We received a lot of extras from our baby shower a few months ago and I’m hoping to donate them. I was also doing some reorganizing and found a lot of baby clothes that we haven’t used yet but the baby has already outgrown. Ty for any leads! :)
