So.... I'm redoing my hunter card in the wilds...maybe too many things on the edges? I can try other poses, I still don fully like that it covers Lagis face but isn't really that important.

Because even an unfathomably powerful eldritch being wants to feel a little kawaiiΒ from time to time (My entry for the 2026 Halloween Contest with full r/fashionhunters post here)

So I am new to a series and I already have base rise in my collection, I really want to plan my journey in monster hunter but I don't know which path should I choose (at least for now). I will play with my friend and sometimes with randoms and in very far future I will buy both but I need straight answer to what should I choose first

I absolutely canβt beat Omega Planetes. Iβve been stuck on it for a week and lost track of how many times Iβve died to it. Itβs the mission βInvader from the starsβ.
I can kill all the other monsters tempered forms with zero carts. Iβm HR 69
I have 363 Defense, and constantly get 1 shot.
I canβt kill the Nerscylla fast enough, so I end up taking 1 death there too.
And I use support hunters.
Any tips?

Hi I'm a new player who just beat zoh shia this week and starts with high rank this weekend.
My main weapon right now is gunlance.
I already now that I want to play mh world at some time in the future.
The problem is: gunlance is completely different in world then in wilds where I started to play monster hunter.
Now I wonder. Should I play lance when I start with world or should I give gunlance a try?

I decided to get absolutely everything(weapons, armor, decos, etc) possible in prepping for Ascendance, and so I put everything I have unlocked on wishlist. Problem is that this is a new save and I just beat Arkveld, soo while the amount of symbols makes me already suicidal, it will only rise :c

Hey so I've been bothering with save issues in MH Worldborne, I'm replaying the game again, I was just after velkhana repel and I decided to take a break so I saved and left, then I got notification from steam about cloud save issue. I decided to rejoin just to check if anything really is wrong and I find out that it threw me back pre tigrex quest.
How can I fix it? No matter what I do it keeps on happening and putting me back pre tigrex quest.

Like how savage deviljho and furious rajang are considered elder dragon level threat, so are their any monsters that are the big fours levels?
The ones after the < sign are some of my picks

I think they would lend well to the offset and wound mechanics. And have a good moveset to keep the player on edge but not overwhelmed despite the pace difference between the two games

After having about 800 hours total across mhworld, rise, wilds, and GU, I wanted to come on here and ask the veterans of the series how the difficulty of the games compares or has changed across the games.
For example, how difficult is a fight like iceborne alatreon or fatalis, primordial malzeno, or savage omega compared to G5 or EX deviants (which I haven't done yet, but have watched videos of)? Or even lvl 140 apexes from 4U. Have the challenges gotten easier or harder over time?
Also, for consistency, assume all quests are done solo.

Flairing this as World. But this also applies to Sunbreak.
Feeling frustrated with Charge Blade.
I don't like SAED spam because I can never hit SAED. The monster recovers before im done the animation and moves, it goes off to the side, or the monster only gets hit with like half the burst.
Inversely, Savage axe feels like a struggle, I can get more hits in, less phial wasted, but again, the monsters move around so much that its sometimes hard to hit them. In World I can not tell if it's effective. And in Rise, they added a slow down effect to the mode that makes your hits slow down when in contact with the monster. Savage axe feels like a huge commitment with each swing that seems not worth it.
Then there's also the overshooting issue. The character always steps forward, monster moves and I somehow slip past the monster. I World they wiggle so damn much that some models literally screw up your entire positioning just because of how dramatic ot is they move.
I know it takes practice to get better. And I sont want to give up. But it just feels so silly to struggle this much with a weapon with a solid loop to build up the phials.
Current Equipment:
Bazel Helm a Zorah Chesy a Bazel Gloves a Bazel Coil a Dodogama Grieves b Artillery Charm 2
Dodogama Charge Blade.

Only just started World and MH in general with what I would consider a modern pc, my issue is that Iβve been struggling to hit above 120fps on high settings (texture pack included,) Iβve got a performance mod to help but still canβt get close to my ideal 180fps. Was wondering if anyone had any tips or pointers to help me with this issue, thank you for any and all answers.
Edit - I should say Iβm new to pc gaming and this is more of a βam I doing something wrong?β post since a lot of these settings are gibberish to me

Edit: Thank you for all the help and a extra thank you to those who pointed out about the DEMO! I have no clue how I did not know about there being a demo that (accounting to one kind commenter) also transfers progress over to the main game. Will leave this post up in case it helps someone else!
I am aware there has been a number of fixes but from my own research on the matter there still seems to be issues? Particularly for some Nvidia cards.
I think I should be able to run it fine, but as I do own an Nvidia card setup I have read there can be "micro-stutters" for Nvidia users and that it can vary, some users say that it is not a huge issue most of the time, but any and all patches (even small ones) temporally causes more issues such as stuttering getting worse.
I am worried about stuttering and the possibility that I could own it for a while with little problem, only for a number of patches making it hard to play.
It might be because I am dyslexic as heck but information on the matter has been hard to find for my particular specs. Any info is very appreciated, thanks for you time <3
My own set up right now:
AMD Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core
32 GB ram
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
SSD storage.

Have been playing various games in the series and I have come to realize that defense is practically a non-factor past low rank because of how much monster damage tends to spike, doubly so for gunners, and games boil down mostly to not getting hit. With that in mind, I realized that Armorcharm and Armortalon don't really do anything for me besides taking up precious pouch space due to how little defense they tend to add. By the time I hit Freedom Unite (started in World and moving along in reverse order), I've started keeping them out of the pouch to free up slots due to how inconsequential they feel and how hungry old gen bowguns are for pouch space in prolonged hunts.
I'm almost exclusively an HBG main, so my views on defense are obviously a little biased. With that in mind, I wanted to hear a more general opinion. Does anyone actually ever feel the difference of having Armorcharm/talon in their pouch? Was there a point in the series when they actually made a difference?

OG monster β Missing for years β Infamous and beloved by the fan base β Class not currently represented in the game β Historically bad fight β Epic fish design β Works on current maps perfectly β Cool gear β heβs actually perfect.

I saw a post earlier talking about monster I'd love to see again and it got me thinking... I miss the full cast of monster hunter 3U, but not just that, I miss the odd uniqueness of Tri. It was my first game and by far my favorite in terms of theme and armor styles. I love the new games and I know people hate remakes, but i would give so much to enjoy Tri in modern graphics and gameplay. Those are some of the best monsters in the series imo. When Lagi came to wilds I was so excited! I made every piece of armor and weapons. I miss Qpeco summoning jho! I miss agnaktor(myfav!) Clacking his beak. I miss Brachy with his slime. I was so happy he came to World. Even the Great jaggi and his crazy AOUGH OUGH OUGH call for his boys to jump you. Catching gobul from the river with a fishing rod. OMG sand barioth causing dust devils and jumping off of them, PEAK! bro gigginox is 100 times better than khezu and its not even close. All the cool unique subspecies, which feels like they dont do as much anymore. Those awesome maps with bright beautiful colors on the island and dark dreary nature of the flooded forest. The ice filled caverns and the molten volcano we fight inside. I know people hated the underwater combat, but i loved it. In tri you could make custom bowguns taking parts from each monster's gun making your own unique gun. Jhen's fight on the sand skiff was crazy fun, even tho its likely alittle dated now. The cool little dudes that were your companions cha-cha and Kayamba. That game was spectacular and opened up my love of the series that I still play today. While I enjoy monster hunter World, Rise, and Wilds they don't have that special feeling of swimming beside Ceadeus or defeating a monster in the ocean, on their turf or even still, the crazy flashy art style. I truly miss those old dated games. Even if the new QoL and gameplay feels better, the new games will never have that same heart and soul they put into Gen 3.
Just a side note, I still love the new games, I just miss the old games effort.
