I discovered that one of my local Walmarts had coraline in stock in the most funniest way possible. I was in Chicago for the first howliday drac drop and got the time zones messed up and missed it and then was getting the second drop for her (which I succeeded in getting) and when I was looking up the Mattel creations website and I saw coraline on a Walmart listing just there for retail price and I was like huh?? So I clicked on it and it said there was some at a Walmart near me and so obviously I got her 😌 anyway Goodluck hunting guys!

The other day I was thinking about how I regretted opting out of the Coraline drop and that I really did want the doll after all . Then this is what I see at Walmart after work.

Felt like a sign from the universe, especially after trying to get Halloween Drac and failing both times (I’m still gonna try, but I’m not holding out hope for the last drop.) There was 5 total, it was a small victory being able to pick the exact one I wanted after the all bs with Mattel this week. To whatever heard my sorrow, thank you 🙏

I've noticed that most of the G3 is are honestly recreating some G1's doll line, with G3 Draculaura's Scary Sweet Birthday line is obviously Sweet 1600 2.0, Scare-dise Island is basically Gloom Beach or Skull Shores, and the upcoming line Carnival Frights, is a mix between Ghoul Fair and Freak Du Chic. I really feel like honestly Mattel is doing this because it will just target the fans who grew up with the og because it will just remind them of g1 peak. Some people may like these g3 lines, and I accept your opinion, but me, it feels so unnecessary. While I do appreciate the Skullimate Secrets line that do have some pretty cool concepts that definitely would work as a full doll line but I really suggest that Mattel needs to think out of the box instead of reusing familiar doll lines bring back nostalgia to the die hard fans. But what you guys think? And also, what new doll line would work really well and what character would you choose to be in it?

This is an animal jam x monster high Frankie collab!
I’m working on comparing all the items to their toy/animated versions and am stuck on these ones!

I don’t remember Frankie ever having a robot and the only thing I found online was an old book called “Frankie stein’s robot” and the design is fairly similar.

The lab archway is so similar to SOMETHING but I can’t place it😭 it feels like something from freaky fusion or in the catacombs but I’m unsure.

The tumbler has been really throwing me for a loop cuz the Draculaura and Cleo tumbler’s were modeled after the doll’s tumblers. But I don’t see any dolls or scenes of the show with Frankie having anything like it, does anyone recognize it?

I’m fairly certain the science book is based off Frankie’s core refresh science book but if yall know anything similar plz let me know!!

The couch and the chair I’m thinking were designed by the animal jam team, inspired by Frankie but still want to see if there’s any play sets or animated scenes that have anything similar?

Let me preface this post by saying that, I LOVE G3 Frankie, they're my fave monster in the gen. Now onto my thoughts.

Now, in the original book, Frankenstein's monster started out very slow and ignorant of the world. He then meets an old man who teaches him to read, and gives him lots of books to read which then allows the monster to become knowledgable and worldly (afair anyways, I have not read the original book in a while.)

(EDIT: I have been corrected about this detail by u/Alternative-Candle11 about this detail. The monster learns to read by watching the old man's family and finds the books abandoned.)

G1 was twisted this detail to fit a contemporary teen and made Frankie read magazines. Magazines are how she learns about the world and how to navigate it like the original learned through novels. And ugh, it was such a clever and fun way to twist that detail.

G3!Frankie though, doesn't really have an equivalent. On one hand, it makes sense, teens today don't really magazines anymore (no one does). On the other hand, I'm sure there was a way to still twist this detail to fit with modern teens. I was wracking my brain to think what it could be, when I had a eureka moment. G3!Frankie could be obsessed with fanfictions. Like, they could've been worried about how thet would fit in at school, so they went on the internet to find inspo on how to navigate teenagehood and instead of finding anything realistic, they stumble upon the wide world of fanfiction and fandom. Like they could be constantly referencing fanfic tropes or made up shows that they watch.

I've seen so many posts of millenials saying that Gen Z/Alpha are way more open about being in fandoms and reading fanficition than prior gemerations, and I think it would've been so cool to see that reflected in

G!3Frankie's character. Granted, I'm not sure how much I trust Mattel with that kind of character,but this has been a concept stuck in my head for so long, that I need to put it out in the universe.

I am more understanding if you live in a country where Mattel wont ship the dolls to so resellers are your only option to have dolls

Does anyone know if its safe to boil wash this ghouls hair? I'm not sure type of hair she has as I'm still new into collecting and learning which hair types are safe to boil wash and what types aren't.

hi all! i’ve been into monster high for all my life, collected/played with as a child, unfortunately got rid even though i was still obsessed, and now i started collecting again over the past few years, more so the past few months. i have been buying some dolls, selling some dolls if i do tlc on them, etc etc. what can i do to make my collection better? even the cabinet, it’s absolutely beautiful but im super unsure of the mirror on the back, should i take it off so it doesn’t look cluttered or keep it?..
and i’m torn between painting it pink and spicing it up (lace, bows, ribbons etc) or should i keep the vintage wooden theme going?
please help it’s been on my mind for 2 weeks now..
