Here’s my finished build of a 39 Chevy delivery converted into a 4 door lowrider I absolutely love how this turned out lmk what you guys think

Picked this kit up at a swap for $15. Wasn't sure what to expect as it was tooled in the 80's. The kit was not terrible, had a few quirks and small fit issues. Overall came out pretty decent.

Finally finished this kit. Used BMF Ultra Bright for the first time and can say I'm not a fan. Considerably more challenging to work with than the regular "new & improved". However, the build turned out well, particularly the finish on the body.

We really need to see the Tide colors back out on the track consistently - they always look sooo good! This custom is built off of the Salvinos Chevy ZL1 kit. I chose not to paint here - the fl red/ orange here is the molded color for their #24 Axalta Daytona Winner kit with a coat of clear to seal it before the decals were applied. Decals where designed by myself and can be found on Print-It decals under SlipsRacingDesigns.

This is a very rough mock up of the body kit, wheels, and engine.

I switched from the 7.3 Godzilla to the Blown 429 for a more aggressive look. The engine looks like I’ll barely need to modify the engine bay so that’s a huge plus. The body kit fits real nice though I’m going to need to sand down the rear fenders slightly to accommodate the huge rear wheels. I’m not sure what kind of stance I wanna go for yet. I don’t think it would look great if it was slammed to the ground and I don’t want it to sit so high it looks like it has a lift kit, I need to find just the right balance.

I'm way late but had to clear bench of last project and this one sort of morphed into a burn out build. 66 Camino using a blown motor from the berlinetta bliss kit. Aftermarket wheels and raking the suspension. Here's the mock up with out me jacking the back up yet. Motor build and now I'm going to modify firewall and motor mounts to get it to fit.

Just started on the beetle yesterday got it all sanded and primed, with the silver base coat down. Got it in color today. What do you guys think of the color choice? Tamiya TS-58 Pearl light blue. I think after some clear, it's gonna look real purdy.

Just opened this can of 2k ACME finish1 I purchased over the summer and i noticed it has a straw yellow hue to it. Isn’t it supposed to be clear? It was stored in my closet unopened and the temps did get above 100F during the past months heatwaves. I’ll be spraying on top of a white color.

I can already tell this one is going to be a pain haha I already had to trim the chassis piece to make it fit with the body and still have the wheels aligns with the arches. Just planning on doing a basic build with this one…but I planned the same with the last project and that didn’t end up happening lol Next step will be to try to sand off these damn mudguards to get it as low as possible.

Salvinos 2023 Toyota Camry Kit, JWTBM (Just Want To Build a Model) decals and a 3D Printed resin hood to match the 2022 only hood vent style. The real car as raced only had NACA ducting on the driver's side window - so I cut a completely smooth passenger side window out of sheet plastic.

Tamiya Yellow Chrome spray paint. Whole thing was shot with 1k Clear once finished. Thanks for looking!

This is a mashup of a couple of resin kits, plus parts from an AMT Edsel. I created the wood deck decals on my computer and printed them on a laser printer.

This was one of the most challenging builds I’ve ever done, but I’m very pleased with the result.

White decals really need to be painted and the base sprayed

I've never done kitbash where I cut the bodies up anyone got tips on the front clip of the imperial is going on the ambulance body

Retired completely couple months ago so I'm thinking finally I can spend more time on my hobby. Wrong!!! My Honey Do list has grown exponentially and I have a mental block on completing this Avanti and it's not even that good!... Life's not fair ..

This is my second Tamiya motorcycle kit and if you haven’t built one yet you’re missing out. They are the same high quality as what you would expect from Tamiya but just different enough from cars/trucks that it feels like a creative reset, to me at least.

I chose not to use the included racing livery decals because I didn’t want to hide the color shift paint that I used. The pictures don’t do it justice but it’s a gorgeous white/green/blue/purple shift.

Now that this build is done I can focus all on my Burnout Build.

Paints used were:
Body Panels: Splash White Surfacer, Vallejo Bright Gold Brown Shifter, Splash 2k Clear.
Engine, Frame, Wheels, etc.: Tamiya Black, Gold Leaf, Chrome Silver, Gun Metal. Fusion Firm Chrome and Tamiya clears for the exhaust and exhaust staining.

I really look forward to this kit but have heard about people having issues in the past. Has anyone actually built this and can report anything?
