Game Dev I spent $1400 to build My PermaDeath ARPG with AI and now have over 17.000 players (playable both on Mobile & browser)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A month ago, Aestra: The Last Wish was just the game I wanted to play. I had no idea how to code, but I started building it anyway.
Today, over 17,000 people have played it. And while that number is wild to me, what really gets me is opening the game and seeing the minimap full of players.
People trading in the main city, dueling, finding groups and heading out to do content together. Seeing people actually spend time in this world, meet each other and come back to play more… it’s hard to describe how good that feels.
For anyone who missed my first post, Aestra is a real-time pixel action RPG with permadeath. You pick a class, quest, find gear, explore dungeons and take on raids. And then you get a little too confident, die, and start getting attached to a new character.
The first version cost me around $100 to build over a weekend. Since then, I’ve spent about $1,400 in total expanding it, with 9 classes, levels 1–100, talent trees, professions, world bosses and raids over the course of around 3-4 weeks.
I still have a list of probably 50 things I want to add. But seeing the game alive like this is already something I never really imagined. To everyone who’s played, shared feedback, brought a friend or lost a character to permadeath: thank you ❤️
If you’ve played, I’d love to hear your favorite moment so far. Or the story of how you lost your best character :)

Discussion Title: I'm making a 10v10 mobile game where one team spreads an outbreak and the other tries to stop it
Hey everyone!
I've been working on a mobile multiplayer game called Cough Zone.
The idea is simple: one team plays as Spreaders trying to infect a city, while the other plays as a health response team trying to contain the outbreak.
I'm trying to create something a little different from traditional multiplayer games, with a living city that reacts to what's happening around it.
The game is still in development for Android and iOS, but I wanted to share some concept artwork and hear what people think!
Would you play something like this?
I'm also looking for people who might be interested in becoming early playtesters. I'd love to invite some of you to try the game before release and hear your honest feedback on what works, what doesn't, and what could be improved.
If you're interested in testing it, feel free to leave a comment! I'd be happy to reach out when the game is ready for testing.
Looking forward to hearing what you think!

Discussion Help me find an old mobile driving game I used to play as a kid!
Hi! I've been searching everywhere (using purchase history, Al, YouTube etc.) to find an old mobile game but ig reddit is the best place for this:
The graphics remind me of #DRIVE, but they probably were slightly simpler, the pov was higher up tho, and the cars were smaller. There was this progression loop that i remember where you had a certain amount of normal races against ai(4 to 6 cars per race) and after them there would be a 1v1 against a boss before you could progress further(and you could win their car?). I dont remember if there was any customization but you could upgrade your car. There was no freeroam, only different levels. Im so annoyed i cant find it, it was so good😭

New Release If Football Manager and Ultimate Team had a baby in the 90s
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
And it grew up reading Match and collecting Panini stickers 😂
That’s pretty much Play Pocket Manager. Open packs, collect players, pick your six and try to win something. Then convince yourself one more match wont hurt.
Made it for my nephew because FM lost him after about a minute. Got a bit carried away and now its on Google Play.

New Release Polyx 2D — infinite level replay in v7
The new version 7 has a bunch of improvements:
❇️ 9 new levels! Continue through levels 19-27 with gradually faster drops and more lines to clear.
❇️ Completing the final level now plays the completion music and effects, then lets you replay the level or start a new game.
❇️ Your screen now stays awake while the game is active, including while waiting for a rematch.
❇️ Choose whether battles include garbage. Your level, garbage setting, and number of garbage holes are now remembered for your next invitation.
❇️ Improved "Resume Level" button. Infinite level replay means you can enjoy the game casually with no stress, at your own pace.

Game Dev I made a cozy logic puzzle where you find the perfect spot for every cat: one per row, column and color, and they can't touch
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone! I'm the developer of **Purrzle**, which I just released, a cozy logic puzzle game for Android.
**The rules fit in one breath:**
- one cat in every row and every column
- one cat in every colored region
- cats need personal space, so no two can touch, not even diagonally
If you've played Queens or Star Battle, you already know it. Every board has exactly one solution and you never have to guess.
**What I tried to do differently:**
- **Hints that teach.** Instead of just revealing a cell, a hint tells you *why* ("the sky region has only one open cell left"). I wanted people to get better, not just get unstuck.
- **Cats you collect.** 12 original round little cats, a new one every 10 levels, each with a little personality ("Squints suspiciously at hints"). Later you can design your own cat in a Cat Studio, and your partner cat can even become the app icon.
- **Lots of puzzles.** 5,000 levels in 45 chapters from 5×5 to 10×10, plus a daily puzzle with streaks.
- **Zen mode** with no hearts and no timer, for when you just want to relax.
- **Fair ads.** There are no in-app purchases. Ads only show between levels, never in the middle of a puzzle, and the extra-hint/heart ads are optional.
- Colour-blind patterns, left-handed layout, TalkBack labels, dark mode, and it plays offline.
The game text is English-only for now, but the puzzles don't need words. If you'd like it in your language, tell me which one; that's next on my list.
It's free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logiratech.purrzle
I'd really love feedback, especially on the difficulty curve (does it ramp too slowly or too fast?) and whether the hints make sense. I'll be around in the comments. 🐱
