Coyote pack sighting

PSA: Today, around 6:20 am, I spotted a pack of at least 5 coyotes walking and howling loudly near the Clark neighborhood pond (Laurier and Tupper). Be careful if you have kids that roam around that area alone.

Your kids should be fine. They dont really ever attack people. Pets though...

In ALL of North America and over the past 100 years , there have only been 3 reported human fatalities from coyotes.
A lot More people get killed by pets or barn animals.
People get bitten by coyotes occasionally but is usually due to someone in the area feeding them.

Yeah, I wasn’t trying to be pedantic or argue with you , just trying to be informative

Yeah I gotchu. I’m just saying, it’s not impossible especially with how stupid people have become with feeding them and stuff. The coyotes of today are less afraid of humans than 100 years ago. I would be cautious.

Not really. It's recorded throughout history. Only three attacks in 100 years. They go after pets. That's it. They avoid attacking humans.

I've seen a few, usually solo, in Coates Park over the last couple of years. Early this year I saw a pair while walking my dog at night and one started approaching us. I put my arms up and yelled at it and it wandered away, thankfully.

They are protesting the dismal candidates in the election (all of them).
