Hey everyone! this is what I’ve been working on for the past several months.

I’m working on recreating the original SNES Mega Man X as faithfully as possible, with the goal of making it play and feel exactly like the original. After that, I’d like to bring X2 and X3 into the same engine so you can play as different characters, fight bosses using any weapon from any of the three games, and new game modes.

I also put together a website with more information about the project, which I intend to update as I go, and with ways anyone can help contribute with the project. The entire project is going to be open source and available on GitHub. Whether you’d like to playtest, contribute code, help with sprites or sound effects, or pitch in some other way, the website explains how to get involved. I even made a section that you can just ask AI to pick something randomly to work on and contribute with the project if you have the extra tokens laying around.

I’m still relatively new to all this. Even though I started years ago, I had to step away because I didn’t have the time, and I ended up not touching the project for a very long time. I’m very open to suggestions and feedback! I’m working on getting everything polished and faithful to the original and make this collection version of my favorite game lol

Since X5 was the going to be the conclusion to the X Series, it's kinda weird to me Vile isn't in the game outside of the intro. Feel like he should've taken Dynamo's role since, to my knowledge, Dynamo never appeared again after X6.

Personally I think Capcom should have released the game later like in 2007 instead and possibly in a different platform like the Wii because Mega Man was over flooded in the handheld market but the last mainline Mega Man game in home consoles were Mega Man X8 and Command Mission back at 2004, so there would atleast be some time to breath I suppose.

Heya everyone, hope you're all doing well. Over the past 5 months I've been working diligently on a series of videos covering the classic Mega Man series in anticipation for Dual Override, and the time has come to finally put out the first episode!

For the project I've recruited a swath of various creators from around the Rockman-sphere and beyond, and I think the result is unlike anything I've seen before. If good art is made with love, then this may be my best work yet, and I hope you all enjoy it.

So I started watching some of the most recent videos about Megaman X Corrupted's progress and saw a few showcases of the latest versions of the 2 original armors for X in this fangame and...

I don't like what they did with the buster of the Phoenix armor. I like the burning effect it applies to targets, but I don't like how they took away its ability of exploding into homing fireballs when it hits something...

I mean, the piercing and flame burst on walls looks nice and all, but it's simply not the original conept :(

I just would like if you could toggle both modes (and add a shotgun-like mode for the hydra buster to make things equal), because I find it really not-cool to see the original concept be lost.

Does anybody share a similar opinion?

Just watched the Day of Sigma and Zero vs Sigma fight and damn, I knew what happened but I never really thought about it too much, but somehow it kinda was the best outcome. Zero could absolutely have massacred Sigma before he gets plot’d into losing, and that almost certainly would’ve been somehow worse than Sigma. Sigma’s pride and drive to see X improve and perfect himself managed to bring about the greatest hero of that universe, Zero would have murdered fucking everyone, X very much included, and the entire X timeline would be all out of whack. Even if X were to somehow have access to all of the upgrades he does by X1’s end + the maverick powers, I just don’t see a scenario where he doesn’t end up dead at Zero’s hands. Looking at it maybe Sigma is really the biggest hero of the X series even if just in hindsight, him winning that battle against Zero and being infected with the Maverick Virus, it was his last noble act that did save everyone.

After years since I found this figure out from YouTube when I couldn't afford it (and terrible eBay prices), I finally got my hands on the Truforce Collectables X, terribly articulated and visually stunning figure in my collection, love it!

It's still in concept, but the novel will re-tell the Mega Man Zero story, following all games and the audiodramas, with more content added, turning each mission into a whole chapter, Neo Arcadian POV and more.
