And you decided to go on a rant saying “This is a PvP game, save that working together shit for Arc raiders” and that “I need to get good and quit whining”. And on and on while we waited for the extract. It was weird rant, especially given the fact that I shot you first.

I could practically hear the Cheeto dust clogging your wind pipe as you berated me for having the gall to use the friendly ping in “such a hard core game” and telling me “I need to quit the game if I think people are going to be friendly”.

All that to say, I’m sure you’re on Reddit. People like you are part of the reason this game has a low population. I hope you read this and realize it’s time to touch some grass

Edit 2: some of y’all are being real weird about this. This was the order of events:

• me, free kit Thief, finished a no exfil required CyAc contract

• I started the extract beacon

• a destroyer comes down the ladder at overflow

• I immediately start shooting

• we down simultaneously (no self revives)

• I ping “friendly” (because obviously we’re both laying there, crawling toward the beacon)

• chud starts ranting about how this is a PvP game and I need to get over it

HELL YEAH NO MORE BEING DESTROYED BY IT ALL THE TIME

So I did something smart last night and just want to share with you guys. Playing Destroyer with a buddy on free kits, we were running the Magnum and came up on another duo. I popped my ult, we downed the first guy, but his teammate running assassin popped his smoke and disappeared. Instead of running over to finish the downed runner, I backed out of the smoke and shot him twice. Now my ult is still active so shooting him twice gave me 2 ticks, essentially priming my ult so as soon as I land my first shot on his teammate, my rockets immediately fired and we got him too.

I just thought that was fun to use his downed teammate to prime me for my battle with him, and maybe I can start using that as a tactic in the future.

With Cryo coming back, I’m reminded of a lot of solo queue fills I’ve had into Cryo where I’ve gone down and my teammates completely give up my bag, space, and make their fights that much more difficult. So, I wanted to present this little breakdown from yesterday where I solo queued into a game with this duo because it shows how to cover for teammates and play around them.

Your teammates are always valuable, even if they’re down. In this clip, a team gets the jump on us. I get away to find a position I can hold safely and watch over my teammates. After I kill the ill-advised pusher who’s hungry for finishes and my legend of a teammate gets back up, he gets back in the fight to challenge for damage on the next player, and I immediately go to trade out the damage and get the pick. I’m not pushing in crazy hard out of our room until I profit off his damage with my 2nd down off my teammate’s work.

All of this happened because I was aware of my teammates and what they were doing. I know we all have our struggles with solo queues but for 30 min two strangers can be your best friends joining you in victory, or you can give up on them and fall in defeat. Working with your teammates goes both ways, them working with you and you working with them.

*3rd is a bonus kill cus I’m an ape and the vandal is a bad sniper. I just wanted to use destroyer movement cus it’s way too fun. (Not always advised to do this against good players honestly… play WITH your team in cryo this weekend!)

It opens exfils and key boxes on Outpost, but no idea what to call it.

i run with an established team and we've been cleaning up in this early season (watch that change after the drrrvishes come back lol). i don't love discovering free kits and contract items on bodies though, the arachne points aren't worth it to me honestly, especially if it's too easy a fight to win. if you're not trying to engage or you know you're at a disadvantage please get on prox chat and start a convo, my team at least are always open to considering a truce. we will do our best to kill you otherwise!

I’ve been playing for a few days, learning the game and the maps and despite getting my ass kicked having a great time.

Looking forward to my first Cryo run, had an inventory value of 4.4k so figured I’d save it and run some free kits to complete some contracts while I wait and figure I can scrape it into cryo if I find some good gear.

I must have died about 5 times trying to do this one objective at hauler, finally did it on my measly free kit and decided to run straight for the exfill to make up for all the times I failed.

As I approach the exfil I spot a runner looting another runners body, manage to get the jump on him and headshot him, loot both boxes to get a unique LMG, a long shot worth 3.1k, some great shield upgrades and implants before I decide to exfil and not get too greedy - stuff like this makes all the bad runs worthwhile and keeps me coming back! Bring on cryo! I’m sure I’ll lose it all - and I can’t wait.

For the first 2 seasons I only changed the skin but recently I started adding stickers and charms to the ones I use often. I try to go for themes like promo rewards, season passes, or factions.

Wish they weren’t limited though, stickers and charms shouldn’t have a limit. Pretty sure they’re adding custom backpacks in March. Hope that’s changed by then.

I shouldn't loot an entire POI where a specific green salvage is located and walk out with 2 of what I need.

Grinding factions early is tedious as is but having the drop rates on "common" salvage be so low exacerbates the problem.

Either lower the requirements in the faction upgrades or increase the drop rates of green salvage in their respective POIs.

Went in with the free kit and came out with Trace and the entire map worth of loot. Teammates had done Compiler already. And I was on a moving train - love those train exfils babyyyyyy

This is me running Moonlight on my Steam Frame. Steam's remote play is ok but has more input lag than normal, and I don't get to use the cool color shifting environment valve has here. As for Marathon Classic, that is running directly on the hardware with no issues.

You're probably burning yourself out by turning this 5 minute contract run into a 20 minute ordeal by sneaking at snail speed.

Think with me real quick, sneaking is great right? But if you're sneaking super duper slow, you're giving anyone spotting you MORE TIME to see you. More time to plan, more time to get a good angle.

You need to move faster.

I get it, it's tense, spoopy art, all that, but you need to go faster until something makes you slow down.

There's no reason any quest in this game should feel like "a lot of work," all of these quests are designed to be completed and leave you plenty of time to do other things on the map before you exfil.

Assuming you don't make it out, lets think about the difference in time commitment.

It takes you 5 tries at 5 min per run = 25 minutes of failure before success.

It takes you 5 tries at 20 min per run = 1 hour and 40 mins of failure before success.

You're almost quadrupling your time by being scared, and you're blowing your mental stack on creeping through bushes.

Go fast until something makes you slow down is my main tip

They changed this refresh right? Like Drrvish is no longer in Vault 1? I haven’t gotten to log on yet today, but I thought that’s what I heard was going to happen, some were going to be moved around, new ones were going to be added maybe (like didn’t we see a Unique Gold Zeus in the promo video?)

So just wondering if anyone has compiled a list yet of what the weapons are in Vault 1-6 since Refresh.

Or maybe they didn’t change and the people speculating this misunderstood everything!

You can now get 5k kits ready to gamble in cryo in a single run in either of these maps.

If you want to slowly build up a strong vault you can continuously run them for golds and purple.

There was never a map worth playing outside of cryo up until now (apart from ranked). Really feels good actually looting and not relying on killing someone and hoping they got good stuff, although that is a bonus.

It’s way easier to save and build credits also which is helpful when buying things from faction vendors. It makes losing less painful as I’m not worried about having no creds to buy meds, attachments or a green kit.

Random map events are now worth doing.

The changes so far for me have been great so far.
