MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Does my expenditure graph look normal?

I've been tracking for almost 2 and a half months now and the expenditure just keeps dropping?

Is this normal, is it something I should look at it? Does it have something to do with the size of my deficit slowing my metabolism?

When you lose weight you need fewer calories to sustain yourself

It may be a combination of your metabolism slowing as you lose weight and the initial expenditure estimate being higher than your true expenditure. If you want you can go into your expenditure settings and set the initial expenditure estimate at say 2700 calories and see what the updated graph looks like.

Agreed. And good idea regarding the initial expenditure. I never thought of doing that.

Initial estimation being too high + 100-150 kcal lowered TDEE due to 8 kgs lost. Normal af

Yea. Over the years it will change a lot as your life changes. Sometimes up, sometimes down. Depends on activity levels, weight gain/loss, calories (ie, gaining/maintaining/cutting)

My expenditure when dieting, started maintenance in June. It is how human bodies react.

Yea, it takes a month or two to actually calibrate to your actual expenditure. Being on a 1,000 calorie deficit also is gonna make your metabolism slow down a lot, which in turn makes your expenditure slow down even more

Yep. Like yours, MF’s initial estimate for me was too high. Excluding that, my expenditure dropped 700 cal/day going from 126kg to 90, about 100 cal/day per 10lbs lost
