[18/10/26] Book Club Meetup - 4PM @ Finsbury Circus Gardens

Hello! We are back with the third edition of the Book Club Meetup.

The goal remains the same - to meet up and speak about what you’re currently reading, have been reading in the past, want to read, etc. We bring our books/kindles and go around the group speaking of the titles. Some people bring snacks or drinks. Some bring friends. But most come solo so don’t be shy!

Last few editions have seen some good debates and I personally have been introduced to some really interesting titles. What I love most is that the discussion never lingers around just books, we have always moved onto other things - films, politics, london, etc.

When: 18th of October 2026, Sunday, 4PM

Where: Finsbury Circus Gardens, EC2M 7DT (Nearest station is Moorgate)

I’m 24F, really into cinema, reading, techno, and traveling.

There’s a whatsapp group if you’d like to join (dm me for the link), but feel free to just show up. The only rule is that you don’t be an asshole.

See you:)

[16/10/26] Regular Friday dinner 🍕

Heyo!

I’m (M33) thinking of organising a regular Friday dinner, restaurants around or near the Central.

A few ideas to keep things simple:

  • When: Fridays, around 7:30 pm
  • Group size: Ideally 4–6 people. Any more than that can get tricky to manage.
  • Budget: Around £25 per person

The idea is to enjoy some good food, discover new places, and have a relaxed evening with good company.

The plan for the first night is Franco Manca Covent Garden, if all happy.

[16/10/26] East London craft beer @ Munich Cricket Club Tower Hill

Hi all, looking to create a semi regular social group in East London around craft beers but also to allow people to find small sub groups to do things like climbing/running/gaming/Coffee/table top gaming in the area. Pop by to meet some people. I'm 45M and the last event had someone turn up.

I'll be there at Friday 7 PM for a drink.

It's technically October so I thought we should revisit the Munich Cricket Club in Tower Hill. I had a great time last year and tbh I'm going back for the food. Also strangely, i think it was colder than when we did it last year in September.

Munich Cricket Club

How to get there

Look for a bald Chinese guy who looks like his name is Sow. Number is zero seven five 9 3 sixsix nine 2 zero six

There's one spare ticket left for The Story at the National Theatre tonight (the newsroom thriller with Letitia Wright). A couple of others are going together and there's room for one more.

The ticket's free, if you’re up for meeting a few new people.

The meet is at the National at 7.15pm. DM by this afternoon for the details to join. It’ll go to someone at random

[18/10/26] Paint your own Ghost Portraits on Frames@ Blighty, Finsbury Park

I think getting creative is such a fun way to help us beat the 'Sunday Scaries' and that is the main goal at our events - to show yourself what you are capable off, get messy and creative and have good crack and conversation along the way ❤️

On that note, are you in the mood for something different this sunday?!?!

I got ya guys - I am hosting a Paint your own ghost portrait afternoon on 18th October @ 2pm

Think cute frames, the craziest or maybe cutest ghosts you can think up, a complimentary hot or cold drink and good conversation

No experience needed at all — it's really about relaxing, getting a bit creative, and connecting with like-minded people.

Location: Blighty Cafe, N4 2JF (5 min walk from Finsbury Park station)

Date & Time: 18th Octover, 2-4pm

We'll have all the materials ready — just bring yourself (and maybe a friend if you fancy it).

If you're interested, drop a comment or send me a message and I'll share the details ✨

🏸 LCSB — Badminton in East London

LCSB (London Competitive & Social Badminton), formerly Lazy Sunday Badminton, started on Reddit in December 2025.

Approaching our first anniversary, we’ve:

  • Welcomed almost 200 players across different abilities. 📊
  • Delivered badminton sessions every weekend without fail. 🔒
  • Hosted domestic and oversea state champions and professional players. 🌍
  • Run ladies-only courts to enable accessibility
  • Provided free racket loans 🏸
  • Established a Developing Intermediate programme, focused on improving technique, consistency and producing longer, more competitive rallies. 📝
  • Expanded our weekly programme across multiple venues to now 8 courts a week. 🏟️

Beyond the games, it’s been rewarding to see new friendships develop through a shared interest in a sport that combines strategy, fitness and social interaction! ☺️

🏸 Saturday Badminton
📍 Newham Leisure Centre
🕘 9:00–11:00am
💷 We split court fees and feather shuttle costs

From 8 November, we’re planning dedicated beginner practice sessions supported by experienced players, providing a clearer pathway into competitive doubles.

We’re continuing to recruit players at all levels, but particularly at intermediate to advanced level.

Message me with your playing experience if you’re interested in joining.

The Details:

When: Sunday, 18th October, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Where: Harrow Leisure Centre.

Cost: £9.00 per person for the full 2 hours.
