Tech Question Call of Duty BIOS Help!
Hey, I'm sort of new to this whole BIOS thing, but basically, you have to update your BIOS to play Call of Duty. When I scan the requirements, it says I'm good on having Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 turned on, but it says my BIOS firmware needs updating. I have a prebuilt PC and tried looking for the updates. It turns out the latest update for my BIOS was in 2021, and it doesn't work for CoD. Is there anything I can do?

I had to flash an updated BIOS to play the open beta. If you’re unsure how, search “how to update bios [insert make and model of motherboard]” on YouTube. Just be aware that a power outage while flashing can brick your motherboard, so don’t do it during a storm, excessive heat, etc.

When you say secure boot (edit: and tpm) is on did you actually verify and enable it through the bios? Even if windows is saying secure boot is enabled it might not actually be active or there is some other issue.
I've had a few buddies go through this with cod and bf6. I would manually update the BIOS and reset the Secure Boot settings anyways.
Also, just curious, what is the motherboard make and model? You might be able to get a more up-to-date BIOS directly from the board manufacturer's site/support.

My guess is you’re missing the most recent secure boot certificates.. I don’t believe you necessarily need a BIOS update for those, I’m just not sure how you update them on Windows…
