No matter how durable it looks, it will rub off!!! then you can’t tell your 1/3 from your 1/2 and your 3/4 from your cup in a dark cupboard!

Finance LPT: Before you buy anything over ₹5,000, put it in your cart and wait 72 hours. If you still want it after 3 days, buy it.

Impulse purchases feel urgent because the “wanting” is strongest right after you see the thing. That feeling fades fast.

What works for me:

  • Add the item to your cart or wishlist instead of buying it
  • Set a phone reminder for 3 days later
  • When it goes off, ask: “Would I still buy this if it cost 10% more?”

Most of the time I’ve forgotten about the item by then. For the things I still want, I buy them without guilt, usually after finding a better price.

Social LPT The answer to the question "how are you" isn't the answer "good/fine" but rather the other person's facial expression when answering

Humans always have changes in their facial expression when lying. Especially when they answer something in a way that is opposite from the way they actually feel. You can notice this especially in their facial expression. Their eyes can be relaxed when everything is indeed fine. But if they're sad they will look sad easier when you ask how they are, because the real answer is that they are not fine because of a certain reason

If something even happened they are ashamed about, they may look away in shame

If something happened they are angry about, they will have anger in their pupils
