Hey guy I’m excited to join the club! I bought this awesome machine! It’s my first Lexus and I’m loving it.
I bought it for $20k with 109k miles. With a known bushing problem that needs to be replaced. I took it assuming it was easy enough of a fix… (dealer would’ve added $500 more if they were the ones fixing it, I opted out)
BUT…
I am really disheartened with what I learned after taking it to the shop for few concerns 😢
Can I please get some opinions or advice or whatever.
Like I said I took it to the shop for few concerns, after leaving the dealer and buying it AS-IS, I noticed some shakiness/wobbles on the drive and some rattling noise in the engine bay.
The shop reported that there were bulging on the inner side panel of 3 of the tires and I got a hefty $2800 quote 😢😢 now I need 4 new tires, realignment, and tie rods.
The auto shop also noted that there is a micro oil leak in the engine and it could potentially be a $4000 fix. I can share more if you guys are interested.
I just wanted to share that cause I feel really really bad. I did not do a PPI cause the Chevrolet dealer had good reviews and provided all the documentation, even a picture of the undercarriage. The test drive was as smooth as it can be so I did not even notice any potential issues.
