A little side detour on the way to West Voz Forrest leads us to this mysterious valley where the mist becomes very thick. Our heroes decide to turn around. Probably for the best. We need to find the Genesis tree.

Pics LoL guide reprint.

I just bought this and am stoked. I've been a fan of LoL since the day it came out. I had the original Strategy guide when i was a kid. But i found someone on etsy who prints hardcover reprint versions. It's a little gift to myself as i get ready to play my annual playthrough of the game. :D Yeah it has the watermark but i don't care. i'm stoked for it.

Discussion Connecting Legaia 1 to 2?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well!
I’m going to share a theory of mine below—it might not make sense, and it might not even be any good, but usually, when we create something, we tend to think it’s brilliant, hahahahah.
As we know, Tieg is the principal deity of Legaia. He was a god who was half-human and half-Seru, until he split in two!
The human part (later known to humans as Rem) created Legaia. The Seru part created the world of the Seru, Seru-Kai.
Early in the game, during the funeral for Juno and two others (killed in the Seru attack on Rim Elm, perhaps?)—as their coffins are carried away by the ocean waters—a little boy asks his mother where Juno and the others are going. His mother replies that they are going to Noaru Valley. When asked if they would ever be seen again, she answers that she doesn't think they will see them anymore.
Towards the very end of the game, when saving your progress in Seru-Kai, the location displayed is the Noaru Valley itself. This indicates that what humans perceive as the afterlife—or even Paradise—is precisely the land where the Serus live: Seru-Kai!
We also see at the end that Cort is reincarnated as a baby and that Noa will look after him, implying that reincarnation is a possibility in this world. Furthermore, Cort's reincarnation—once again as a human—came about through the intervention of the Ra-Seru at the end of the game!
If reincarnation is possible—and if humans believe that upon death they go to the Valley of Noaru (which is actually Seru-Kai) and Tieg was a god who was both human and Seru—could this all mean that when a human dies, they might reincarnate as a Seru, and vice versa?
Think about it: despite remaining separate—and Tieg not wanting Serus and humans to have contact with one another—they actually complement each other! They end up helping one another! And perhaps the theory makes sense!
And how does this connect to the second game?
Well, what if the Mystics from the second game—beings inhabited by both a human spirit and an Origin—are actually Tieg’s attempt to keep the Seru alive in some form? This time, with humans and Seru depending on one another. If the human dies, does the Seru die too? And what if the Origins represent "the last chance for the Seru to exist"?
Who knows? Perhaps the prejudice the Mystics face stems from something more than just fear of powerful beings; maybe it is an even more irrational—perhaps primitive—fear that the Seru, and the Mist, might return.
What if Avalon is the reincarnation of a human (perhaps even Songi, for instance) merged with Rogue?
You know, perhaps there ought to be more Mystics in the world. Maybe they do exist but stay in hiding to avoid being attacked. Or maybe not! Who knows—perhaps they are few in number because the remaining count of Serus was too low to allow for many Mystics to be out there!
Sorry for the long post! I hope you enjoy it!

Discussion Noa got the short end of the stick, and it's Terra's fault
I just finished another playthrough after several years, and felt the need to vent/yap a little. Would love to hear other's thoughts.
When I was younger, I always thought that she was kind of a brat. No impulse control, loud, zero tact, constantly rushes in and makes problems, etc.
But she was accurately written as a lonely child with no structure or boundaries, but expected to burden the fate of the world regardless. All Terra really gave her was a moral compass and basic communication, after that there was nothing. Noa wasn't taught any necessary skills for socializing, and often times feels like she's 5 years old instead of 11. In short, I suspect she has these "negative" traits because she's desperate to have SOME control in her life, and only knows how to do by being pro-active; do things before you can't do them anymore. Gantz pissed you off? Kick him before anyone can say otherwise. You want to see something? Run over and do it before someone tells you off.
On paper it makes sense that a Seru would know nothing about raising a child lol. But Terra repeatedly lies to her through omission of truth, pulls her back during the most crucial moments, and etc. I'm thinking about how Terra expected Noa to not react to seeing her mother and father alive and well, the people that were the entire reason she wanted to go on this journey; the time paradox makes sense but it could have been planned around and written in a way that could still give her emotional pay-off instead of dangling the carrot in front of her. And ultimately, after being the one that promised her that she would never abandon her, she goes off and dies in a blaze of glory (from Noa's perspective).
Ultimately in hindsight and from Noa's perspective, I'm realizing Terra definitely used her and then left. Obviously their relationship has deeper elements, but this fact slapped me in the fact this time around. Noa's not nuanced enough to understand the dynamic of that relationship at all—to her, Terra raised her with one goal in mind, prevented her from accomplishing her own goal of reuniting with her family, didn't tell her that there was a possibility that her parents would end up dying, wasn't able to save her parents but saved Rim Elm, would straight up stonewall her whenever she demanded direct answers (this pissed me off in particular), and then abandons her when she was arguably at her lowest.
It makes sense that as soon as she found Cort as a baby, she took him and bailed before anyone could take him away from her. If you ask me she's just a child that was worse off at the end compared to where she started; dare I say she has a negative character arc. Gala was right to remain critical of the Ra-Seru up until the end. They're not evil, but I wouldn't call them saints either.

Pics Adult playthrough done!
First played Legaia as a kid on my PSP, unfortunately it didn’t make it over the years, bought a PS Vita and finally got around to finishing it front to back again!
highly recommend playing this way if you are a busy adult who needs to pick up and put down games constantly
I used the patch to correct the exp and enemy stats from the NA version to make it less grindy and it was a much more consistent experience. I found it a lot easier, but much less painful to repetitively need to grind.
Such a good nostalgia trip, I forgot how cheesy the writing is but it just adds to its quirks.
so excited to see the community for this game alive and well.
If theres one thing this game always gets me on its the music. It has always kept me so immersed and really fits the world incredibly well, as a grown man it still makes me a bit teary.
the combat system is just lovely, this games uniqueness in almost every facet design wise is a huge thing pushing me to work on a passion project game of my own. just a matter of making the time and energy to haha.
I hope the devs see how fondly people still talk about this game, theres an obvious passion poured into it, and it just screams human creativity and expression, something we are at a lack of nowadays, its themes aged quite well, and i think its quite timeless.
thinking of picking up a copy of legaia 2 on ebay and playing it on PS2, honestly never got around to it myself, so it might be a fun time!
I’ve been struggling more and more the past years to actually finish games I’ve started, so replaying one of my favourites is really gratifying.
anyway just wanted to share my experience!
