Rant KILIMANI JUNIOR ACADEMY IS TOXIC

Post image

I attended a funeral of a 14 YO girL who committed suicide this past Monday at Langata Cemetery. Her family's last born baby. Reasone being? She was bullied and body shamed at the school. Teachers knew what was happening to her and did nothing.

Worst still they had not reached out to the family concerning this issue by the time of the burial. No one from the school even showed up for the service. She was such a sweet beautiful soul. This is another needless death. The pain and grief in that family is palpable.

How in the world is this even normal, that a child would see no way out of such a mess.!! I have no idea how this family will get through this. But Why!!! How did we even get here.!

Rant Two Months Later: Someone Asked How Things Are Going, and Honestly, Weeh

Hey guys ❤️ So, somebody asked me how things have been going since I posted two months ago. Honestly, time flies, but unfortunately, things haven't really improved.

The job situation is still uncertain. We went from being told we would start on 9th October to 20th October, and now I'm worried it might be postponed again.

My landlord is really on my neck right now. My door was closed, and I had to stay with a friend for three days. I eventually went to the chief and made a promise that I would pay my rent on 12th November because we had been told the contract would start on 9th October. Now that the job has been pushed to the 20th, I honestly don't know what I'll do. If I don't come up with the money before the 10th, I'm out. 😅😅

I know it's not funny, but I'm honestly tired of crying these days. Sometimes I just laugh because what else can I do?

The housekeeping jobs come in maybe two days a week, and then I have to figure out how to survive the rest of the week with my three kids.

My daughter was sent home on Friday because I hadn't paid the KES 1,750 the school was asking for. I later asked and was told the money is for feeding and exam materials because she's sitting for her KPSEA exams.

Yesterday, she was home again because I hadn't cleared the full amount. Today, I managed to send her with another KES 500. I honestly don't know if she'll still be in school by 10 a.m. or if she'll be sent home again, but I'm praying she gets to stay and continue with her exams.

I even sent someone to talk to her dad, hoping he could at least help with KES 500, but the answer I got was, "I don't have any money." I wasn't even asking for the whole amount.

These are just some of the things I've been going through over the past two months. Mentally, I'm drained. Sometimes I feel like I'm running on empty, but I keep standing because I'm a mum and my children depend on me.

The hardest part is hearing my kids say things like, "It's okay, Mum, wacha tukunywe uji jioni, tutakula shule." They try to comfort me by saying we'll have porridge in the evening and they'll eat at school the next day.

Then I realise I can't even afford the KES 15 for their lunch.

Imagine being a mother and having to listen to your children comfort you because they can see how hard you're trying. They don't ask for much, but even the little things have become difficult.

And this is how I'm about to turn 29 on the 24th of this month, with most of the same problems I had two months ago still hanging over my head.

I'm not sharing this for pity. I honestly don't even know why I'm writing all this, maybe because sometimes I need somewhere to let it out. I'm still trying, still looking for work, and still hoping that something will finally work out.

If anyone knows of temporary work around Riruta, Kilimani, Lavington, Westlands, or nearby areas, please let me know. I'm available for housekeeping, laundry, errands, meal preparation, or any honest work.

Weeh, life has really humbled me. I'm tired, but I haven't given up. One day at a time.

Ideas I'm building something I wish existed a long time ago

I remember around this time last year, I was here ranting after finally coming to terms with the fact that I was SA'd as a child. Groping is SA. I wanted justice back then, but eventually, I felt so overwhelmed that I just stopped thinking about it for a while. The love and support I got from this community back then meant everything to me.

This past year has been a complete roller coaster. Some days were good, but other days I would get so triggered hearing other women share their SA stories on social media. I felt deep empathy for them (some had gone through things far worse than mine) and I truly commend them for their strength in speaking up💔.

When I shared my story here back then, I remember a guy commenting: "They were still kids though." (My perpetrators were teenagers around 12/14, while I was only 4 or 5). That comment icked me so bad that I deleted my post and took a long break. It felt so invalidating when it was already so hard to speak up.

That experience made me realize how desperate we are for spaces where women are actually believed, held, and protected.

In April, I formed The Audacity Room (a ladies only community on WhatsApp) because I realized I was trying to numb my thoughts with random hobbies. Connecting with amazing women through our physical meetups made me feel so much safer. I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who attended my events and believed in my vision (more women are welcome)🤍.

But I knew we needed something bigger, quieter, and permanently safe.

So, I’ve spent the past few months building IBLVU (I Believe You)—a verified, algorithm free digital sanctuary built by women, for women.

It’s an everyday safe space for:

• The Sanctuary & Whispers: Algorithm-free feeds and anonymous support threads where you can vent, ask questions, or connect without performance, judgment, or invalidation.

• Everyday Community & Circles: Spaces to talk about health, PCOS, wellness, career, and life alongside local meetups.

• My Vault: An encrypted, private logbook where women can safely document personal notes, dates, and experiences for their eyes only, completely protected from external takedowns or leaks.

• Verified Care: Access to vetted female practitioners, counselors, and legal advocates when you need guidance.

We wanna build this with so much care & intention.(I have an amazing lady dev on my team,I'm more than grateful to her😊). We just opened our early access waitlist today, and every single signup helps prove that women deserve safer spaces online.

If you want to be among the first to receive a Founding Pioneer pass, please take 30 seconds to join our waitlist here: 🔗 joiniblvuwaitlist.lovable.app

P.S. For the ladies around Nairobi, we are also hosting an Audacity Room end of year luncheon on December 20th to celebrate closing out the year together! If you’d love to join our physical meetup, feel free to drop a comment or DM me for details.

Thank you all for being part of my healing journey and helping me build a space where every woman's voice is believed✨.

Love & Romance Signs you might be getting pink pilled

For those who don't know pink pill , it's the opposite of red pill in basic terms.

You adopt the radical beliefs about relationships , dating dynamics and they're quite extreme, like the brother red pill . I have to say that pink pill doesn't have significant effects on the lives of men as red pill has on the lives of women in terms of actualised violence .

  1. Calling feminine men gay and princess . It's a form of internalised misogyny

  2. Viewing men as "providers" . If this is a role he takes as a result of his willingness and maybe his higher income well and good. If not and it's just you expecting because you are a woman , is really reducing relationships to become purely transactional and surface level. Also reinforcing traditional gender roles and complete reliance on men .

  3. Content around these buzzwords : 'divine Feminine ' divine womb' , Our bodies are magical and all , but these are just our reproductive organs , animals have them , and in all sense, if our vjay is divine , so are mens. The problem with that narrative is that it suggests that women are good and magical and on the flip side ....

Feel free to share your own down below 😚

Socializing How can I stop my creeping homophobia as a str8 woman

Its there. I feel myself really irritated, disgusted and hateful of queer men. It started with hate towards men as a collective and then the more time I spent online it developed into a special hate for queer males.

I guess id call myself homophobic now.. But I dont care about women with my hate i wven love them.. Thing is its gotten so bad that when I walk, I brand every male gay

. In the past I used to get so irritated by males because of constantly pestering me when I walk outside but now, its developed into "this man ata akinisumbua haezi nitisha, why would he when they all bend ova for each other" So I now walk around with feeling powerful, amd like no man can touch me...Like now im disregarding men and branding them all gay and I believe this aint normal lol . I need exorcism or something.. I need a way to figure this out and leave it behind.

I logged off x for abit and it got better but i still dont like them.. I think my inherent beliefs must be wrong because im so accepting and egem blind to female queerness but very hateful and thats when I hold opinions that acting like this isnt natural, when males emgage in such activities...

Love & Romance A losing battle 🤭

Little old stoic me wants to loose all caution and climb a guy.

We met a few days ago.

A very very hot man. Blessed in many ways.

Ohh dear those abs, face card and...other stuff.

The female body does amazing things when there is wild attraction.

Its like even the thought of him makes goosebumps flows through me.

Like from head to toe.

Good news he wants me too.

A voice in my head is saying, men say what you want to hear but I ain't listening.

Life is not straight forward.

So if it works out and I climb him for a few dozen years that will be a good life.

Fingers crossed

Ideas Articulation and accountability group

Hi ladies my goal this year has been to gain more confidence in speaking and articulating my thoughts.

I have decided to create a group of women with similar goals the group will also serve in holding ourselves accountable in terms of exercising and moving our bodiex

Fit bodies fit minds

How it works .

Every twice a week .I will give out random topics to everyone then 20 minutes to research (no ai) .

Then we hop on video call and everyone gets a chance to explain in under a minute we then review each other's articulation and score based on filler words ,pause etc

Anyone curious to join DM
