Conversations about neurodiversity are becoming more common, but knowing what language to use, how to ask questions, and how to engage respectfully can still feel challenging.
Join us for this year’s TRUSU Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lecture featuring Kelly Bron Johnson, an Autistic and Hard of Hearing self-advocate who brings together professional expertise and lived experience to explore neurodiversity in today’s society.
Through personal stories, research, and practical examples, Kelly will explore what neurodiversity is, challenge common misconceptions, and examine the barriers neurodivergent people continue to encounter in schools, workplaces, and everyday life.
Whether you’re a student, professional, leader, or community member, this lecture will offer new perspectives on neurodiversity and practical ways to help create more inclusive and accommodating communities.

ABOUT THE EDI LECTURE SERIES
Each year, the TRUSU Equity Committee hosts the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lecture Series, bringing our campus and broader community together to explore important topics related to social justice, human rights, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
By bringing speakers to campus free of charge, the series creates opportunities to learn, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations that help build a community grounded in understanding and respect.
Join us for an engaging evening of learning and conversation as we explore how a better understanding of neurodiversity can help us build a more inclusive community.
