This is the last day this video is relevant. John will be 49 tomorrow.

i learned the song from ear about 30mins ago, Trying to sing with it. Any tips on how to improve the playing? Also don’t mind my strings ik they’re are slightly out of tune, they’re old and I need to replace them

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I searched the subreddit and didn't see it anywhere.

Did anyone else listen to LIFE yesterday around 2:30 and hear him tee-up Dear Marie by saying something along the lines of:

"The older I get the more it's interesting to think about old lyrics. Some of them encapsulate how I was feeling at the time, and it's interesting to rethink those lyrics now that I'm older. And one of the best examples of that is the line in Dear Marie "I got my dream but you got your family". I did get my dream, but what if I could have both? If you are wondering why I haven't been out there lately, it's because I'm trying to put myself out there and do some work in the personal space to settle down, because even though I'm a super cool uncle, I think I would make an even more kickass dad".

Just interesting, John is 10 years older than me and he's been able to 'guide' me through a lot of life with his music, but after having kids I've been like, where are my JM songs for this?

I was listening to Room for Squares on a third-party music player called Doppi, which I use for my own downloaded digital music collection, and noticed something interesting when comparing the album artwork to Spotify. Spotify’s version seems noticeably warmer and more saturated, while the artwork from my digital copy looks a bit more natural and muted. My guess is that the artwork I have might be closer to the original, while Spotify’s version may have been color-corrected, processed differently, or possibly sourced from a different scan. Obviously, it’s a tiny detail, but as someone who appreciates album artwork, I thought it was pretty interesting!

Has anyone else noticed this, or know which version is closer to the original artwork?

Haven't played this one in a long time so defo a bit rusty! Still one of his best older songs from Room for Squares/Inside Wants Out. A good song to practice getting back into playing and singing again although I forget how many chords he puts in his older songs. 😂

I know the story of how he quit drinking after Drake's birthday party but haven't heard much since. Guess he's still sober?

Since joining the Reddit I’ve come to learn about “Over and Over” which can easily be in my top 10 favorite songs of JM

Just like the title, obviously we all know he has way more songs for every album he’s releases and cuts down to 10-14 tracks give or take. Curious if there are any other secret songs out there that are worth a listen to.

Did they perform Midnight in Harlem with john mayer during crossroads? :)

Just a heads up to anyone that missed out, some of the bud light premium seats that didn’t sell got moved to standard admission prices for way less and are available. Just got some standard admission floor seats if you’re trying to be close. sure the same is going on for other dates as well.

Hey everyone!

I'm a John Mayer fan from Barcelona, and when the Sphere shows were announced, I was inspired to build my own little universe of his live performances.

https://johnmayer-sphere.mizlab.app

You can explore songs, covers, and rarities, or find a show you've attended and turn its setlist into a constellation poster. Sadly, Las Vegas is too far from Barcelona, but at least I created my own little Sphere! :)

It's just a personal fan project, but I hope you enjoy it! I’d love to know if you find your show. Feel free to share any suggestions or feedback!

Anybody know if they are planning on running any discount codes like they did when Dead and Company were playing the sphere?

Full show with banter, I think it’s just missing some of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room

Concept for what Hotel Bathroom Song could sound like on an album.

Hi all!!

I got a ticket for the Sphere show on 5/5 and will be travel solo! It would be my first time soloing in the States and would love to explore and see if anyone is interested in meeting up pre/post show!!

I’m sure it’ll be a fun time meeting new friends!

Anybody else coming to the 5/5 show too? If you’d love to meet up let me know!!

Also I have 1 ticket for sale; it’s in section 101. I just need to sell it because I got another ticket already

Could anyone recommend any Mayer interviews where the vibe is similar to his interview with Rick Rubin on the Tetragrammaton podcast in 2023? Thanks / Merci!

Unless I'm mistaken, we've never seen this photo before.

Hope y’all like it even though there are some mistakes in there lol

I guess this will be me every day until April? Anyone else?

My school has a battle of the bands competition coming up in a few months, I have a drummer, a bass player, a pianist and myself (guitar player) what John Mayer song or John Mayer cover do you recommend the most for me to play (without singing) I really want to do something bluesy. I was thinking everyday I have the blues but I feel it has too much singing in it and repeated chords so it might drag on a bit too much or maybe out of my mind? Let me know

Found the entire Where The Light Is audio recordings from an attendee in 2007. Pretty cool

Update: Link to roughly 500 recorded (audio) Mayer performances : https://archive.org/details/JohnMayerMusic

Anyone going to the first show? Just want to meet some fans along the way

Still waiting on that new John Mayer album he teased... who else is getting impatient? 😂

In the meantime, I’ve been diving back into The Search for Everything and jammed out to Still Feel Like Your Man. That groove never gets old!

Hope you guys enjoy this short cover! Full guitar tutorial coming very soon on my YT channel, for anyone who wants to learn the riff!
