I’m using an iPad Air 13-inch M4 with an Apple Pencil Pro. Sometimes, when I draw a stroke, lift the Pencil completely off the glass, and start another stroke, a straight line appears connecting them. Video attached.

It seems to happen when my palm is resting on the screen. I’ve reproduced it in Apple Notes, Procreate, and Sketchbook

Something else I’ve noticed in Notes: the Pencil’s hover shadow sometimes freezes at the previous position after I lift the tip. When I touch down elsewhere, the connecting line appears.

What I’ve tried:

• Restarting the iPad.
• Disabling finger painting in Procreate.
• Disabling Pencil squeeze and double-tap.
• Reset All Settings.
• Testing while unplugged.

At the Apple Store, another Pencil reproduced the issue on my original iPad, while my Pencil seemed fine on their other devices. Amazon replaced the iPad, but the replacement has exactly the same issue. I did restore my previous setup onto it, though. Then I reset the all the settings and tried again. Still, the issue was there.

Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? Could it be a software or tracking issue, or an interaction I’m missing? I have another Genius Bar appointment, but would appreciate any ideas.

i recently found my old ipad air from 2013, and the battery has exploded. i am wondering if there is a way i can upload my photos onto another device?

Recently I discovered that my Ipad Air M2 version has got some kind of white patches on the screen... What's the solution? And the real issue is I just bought it a year ago and this happened... Never got into water, not a single physical damage... I also got its software updated... Please someone tell the exact solution to it.

the m2 air drains easily, has a shit battery life on battery despite being 95%, heats up like hot hot, and i rarely use it. i swapped it for an older version and boy did i get so happy to do so.

Hey guys! I’m getting a iPad Air as I start my masters degree and I’m unsure of whether I need to buy a keyboard case.

I have a laptop which I plan to do majority of my typing/writing on, but I’m not sure if having a keyboard case would be useful if I have my iPad on the go? When I look at TikTok for an answer it is mostly just ads for TikTok shop and ESR cases so not really giving an unbiased opinion.

I have been saving up money to buy my first ipad air (first apple product in general) . I'm just a bit torn on whether I should buy it now or should I wait a few more months.

Rumors say that m5 will be released on 2027​ buuutt with the current AI boom, I'm also scared that the prices will go up next year.

Any advice or suggestions? Please?

Edit: I'm not particularly fussy with speed performance. I'm not really interested with the M5 but want the M4. I just was hoping that it'll be cheaper IF the M5 releases.

Hi everyone, I'm looking at the JETech magnetic detachable case (with pencil holder) for my iPad Air 13". The ESR Hybrid case looks almost the same in design and concept, so I'm trying to decide between them.

If you have either one:

• Are you happy with it overall?
• I've heard that the JETech can scratch the back of the iPad. Did you notice that, or is it a non-issue?
• Is the ESR Hybrid better in quality, or is it basically the same for a higher price?

I recently bought an iPad Air M4. Can anyone suggest me a good screen protector? I'm going to use it to learn designing, so something suitable that works for it. Claude suggested paperlike and ESR; paperlike 3 is not available in India, and paperlike 2.1 has really bad reviews. Screen
