Question First full day

Hey everyone just hit my first 24 hrs with Invisalign. I feel like I’m constantly thinking about them in my mouth and how they feel, which makes sense it’s completely new . But at what point, if ever, will that feeling go away or does it always feel like you have something attached to your teeth all day? Thanks!

You will be amazed at how fast you get used to them. In a week, you'll barely notice them.

You kinda forget they're in after a few days, then you'll randomly bite down and feel that weird plastic texture and remember again. The first week is the worst by far though

On day 28. It gets easier.

Tip: When pulling out (at the same time), pull down and out for top teeth. For bottom teeth, lift up and out.

(Out being away from your face). Mine would get stuck on my front teeth where the problem is and apply pressure.

The little hooks they sell to pull them off the molars are really helpful, especially if you have large hands like me.

You will become much more mindful of each day, now that eating has a pre and post ritual associated with it. The days will feel longer. Be grateful for this time and experience as you become more aware of yourself and the “mechanical” nature of life. I wasn’t expecting a philosophical reflection with this treatment, but I am here for it and appreciate the perspective.

Best of luck in your journey!

The first few days definitely feel the strangest because your tongue keeps noticing the foreign plastic, but I promise it becomes completely second nature very soon. Stick to softer foods for now and hang in there-the first week is always the hardest part!

I'm not fully used to them after 3 months. My lisp is terrible. But it is what it is. Only 4 more months, hopefully.
