This thread is for members to discuss being or considering One Living Child and Done (OLAD), whether by choice or not by choice. Being OLAD (whether by choice or not by choice) can bring about a lot of complicated feelings and we want this to be a safe space to discuss them. If it becomes apparent we need separate spaces for different variations of OLAD, we can add separate threads but we are going to try one to start with.

I’m a trainee psychologist currently working in the NHS Maternity and Neonatal service. I’m looking for pregnant participants for a non-profit study on wellbeing and anxiety during pregnancy. This is an important area of perinatal mental health where more research is needed. There is limited research on factors that may protect against antenatal anxiety. The findings may help us better understand the psychological factors linked with antenatal anxiety and how mental health support in antenatal period could be improved.

The study has received sponsorship and ethical approval from the University of Edinburgh. Ethics Committee Reference: 25-26CLPS111
