ACADEMICS đ Is Health Information Management (HIM) a good major?
Hello, Iâm currently an exploratory major and considering pursuing in HIM. Iâm planning to take an 8-week online HIM course to see if itâs a good fit for me. I originally considered a different major, but it was more science-heavy than I wanted. I still want a career in healthcare, so my academic advisor recommended HIM and Health Sciences. Iâm especially interested in HIM, but Iâd love some honest advice before deciding. How difficult is the major? How many years does it take to graduate? Is it hard to find a job after graduation, and what is the starting salary like? Are remote jobs common? Also, is the work relatively independent, suitable for introverts, and manageable in terms of stress? Iâm hoping to find a career that takes around 3â4 years of college, offers good job opportunities and pay, and has a reasonable work-life balance. For current students and graduates, would you recommend HIM? Would you choose it again? Iâd really appreciate any honest advice. Thank you.
