Eileen finally hit 1901 miles, so here's my obligatory post. I love this bike. She's my first air cooled V-Twin and I couldn't be happier to be part of the tribe. 🤙

Pullback Riding Position

• Upvotes

About to pull the trigger on 8 Inch pull-back risers and second-guessing myself. Notes Scout Sport comes with 6 inch riser so going an extra few inches up and back. Photo of stock riding position vs. where my hands should be with pullbacks. Feet are sitting on Scout Mini Floorboards. Am I too relaxed with the pullback or too locked in the stock position? Reference: I am 5'10".

Purchased bike in June. Getting to be that time of the season and I want to ask the tribe, what tender/chargers do you use over the off season? Probably have a few more weeks of riding before needing to grab one but it’s been top of mind the past few days. 2026 Sport Scout RT.

Request for advice / Help Indian Dealer in South Florida (Maintenance)

Post image

If you live in South Florida (Dade-Broward-Palm Beach) where do you guys usually get your maintenance done? The nearest official Indian dealer is almost 90 miles away from where I live. I’m a relatively new rider and I don’t really feel comfortable riding my bike for that long just yet.

Is limited+tech worth it yet on a scout?

Currently in the market for a scout and I've read alot of disappointing things about the tft display and it being extremely laggy and borderline useless. Am I better off getting a base model and just adding cruise control myself? I saw they announced an update recently in june or something but not sure if its anything more than a $2k headache.

Request for advice / Help Help finding 3rd party handlebar wiring harness.

According to Indian motorcycle’s install instructions, I need “HARN-HANDLEBAR,LONG,CMS,V,PART 2417099” to install the 10" mini-apes on the base 2026 scout bobber.

Indian estimates that part # 2417099 will be available in December 2026. It’s possible my internet searching skills suck, but I haven’t been able to find, in stock, an aftermarket handlebar wiring harness for the mini apes.

Request for advice / Help Parts issues.

I’m looking at finally getting to buy a scout in the next 30-45 days. An issue I’m trying to sort out is that I have had a few people tell me that getting parts from the dealer to fix various issues has been a problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, what does everyone think about the longevity of the company under the new owners?

Request for advice / Help Toured recommendations

I have found myself in want of a new cruiser bike for some touring and city riding. Me and some of my buddies are planning on doing some day trips/extended touring riding that we previously did on our sportbikes and we aren't too keen on doing that again. Im looking to snag a cruiser that will be comfortable for the longer trips while still being easy to navigate thru cities. I dont need a giant bagger since im not doing cross country. What indian would work best as a short to medium distance cruiser? I will be putting an exhaust and saddlebags on it too.

Request for advice / Help Wind Buffeting Super Scout vs Scout 101

Hello,

I am looking to purchase my first Indian motorcycle and I am coming from a naked scrambler. I'm about 6'2" with 32 inch inseams.

The largest challenge with my scrambler and why I am switching is due to the wind above 50 MPH. I do travel some time on highway speeds and sometimes on the highway and this becomes fatiguing after 15-20 minutes.

I love the black crystal color of the scout 101 but I did see that there is no additional OEM windscreen and can't seem to find aftermarket fairings and windscreens either. Only other upgrade I would do would be a passenger seat/pegs for some occasional 2 up riding.

The super scout however looks to have all this out of the box.

Has anyone ridden both of these bikes? How good is the wind buffeting on the scout 101 with the stock windscreen?

Waiting, as the paint cures, for the last parts. A fuel pump seal I order on friday and bung plugs that arrive tomorrow. Goodbye dented tank and red color. Been working on bringing this old bike back to life since July 31st Im so ready to ride her again, only rode it around my neighborhood once before i stripped her down. Not bad for a 5000 dollar bike.

Good outdoor cover for 2020 scout bobber?

Post image
55 Upvotes

I live in central California, fairly temperate year round weather with a handful of rainy days and a month or two in the 90s-100s. Any suggestions on some good covers for outdoor storage?

I am parking the bike in my garage, but when I’m at my lady’s house I don’t fit in the garage and have to park outside. So it won’t be outdoors every night, maybe two nights a week. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Request for advice / Help I was given this bike (not actual photo) back in the late 90’s for a birthday present. I was 15.

I loved this bike so much. It was almost exactly like the one in the photo but my exhaust was black. One day after school, I came home to find it missing. My mom had filed for divorce from the guy she was married to at the time, and he took it and sold it for 100 bucks. I know this is crazy, but is it possible that it’s still out there somewhere? I can tell you it was stolen by my step dad and sold in mid Missouri. Not sure where it ended up.

ACC wire

I’m installing an INNOVV K7 dashcam on my 2026 Sport Scout Sixty and need a switched 12V source for the yellow ignition trigger wire.

I’ve located the rear lighting harness connector under the seat. Both the blue/pink and green/yellow wires read 12V with ignition on and 0V with it off.

Does anyone know what these wires control and whether either is safe to tap? Or has anyone found an easier switched 12V source on the 2025–26 Scouts?

Corbin Dual Touring seat on a 2025 Sport Scout: passenger room and backrest setup?

Hi all, I have a 2025 Sport Scout (black) and want to make it comfortable for two-up riding. I’m leaning toward the Corbin Dual Touring (I-S-25-DT), mainly because it has the widest published passenger area I could find (about 11" wide x 10" long). Most of the reviews I found are for the 2015-2024 Scout, so I’d love to hear from anyone running it on the new platform.
Questions:
1) Even though the passenger seat area is wide , 10 inch length looks small. Anyone has the issue?
2) should i get passenger back rest from Corbin that is attached to the seat ? If yes , does that limit the space on passenger seat ? Vs if i put seperate back rest i could have free space between passenger seat and backrest ?

Indian challenger question

I just pulled the rear wheel for the first time on my 23 challenger. Would this be a major concern? I plan to just clean it up, finely sand it smooth, grease it up and carry on. Should I be more worried and what would cause this? Other than inferior metal maybe?

Indian challenger rear tire removal question

Post image

Hello everyone. This is my first time removing tire on my 23 indian challenger. Also my first time removing a tire that is belt driven. Anyone have any tips or tricks for the process? Also is this amount of buildup normal on the swing arm? It has 11k miles.

Makes me feel like a crappy owner that i haven't been pulling the bags when cleaning it. Thanks for any inpit or advice
