Hey guys, got the golden email!!! 🥳

3 Feb 2025 – CSQ application submitted

6 Mar 2025 – Request for Attestation des valeurs québécoises

10 Mar 2025 – Attestation des valeurs approved

24 Jul 2025 – CSQ document request

28 Jul 2025 – CSQ additional documents submitted

30 Jul 2025 – CSQ approved

5 Aug 2025 – Physical CSQ mailed

14 Aug 2025 – PR application submitted (federal)

2 Sept 2025 – AOR

2 Sept 2025 – Biometrics request

3 Sept 2025 – Biometrics completed

3 Sept 2025 – BOWP application submitted

6 Sept 2025 – Medical exam completed

12 Oct 2025 – Medical passed

15 Jan 2026 – P1 email received

26 Jan 2026 – P2 email received

3 Feb 2026 – 🎉 ECOPR issued 🎉

It took exactly a year for the entire process. So grateful and all the best to all!

Also, I had applied for Express entry too:

13 Nov 2024 – Entered Express Entry pool

26 Jul 2025 – Received ITA (Express Entry) - Score 527

ITA rejected because my CSQ was accepted

Once a CSQ is issued, EE is automatically invalidated, so I had to decline the ITA even though I preferred since express entry is faster. Majority of the CSQ streams had been paused indefinitely so I honestly had forgotten my CSQ application and the approval was a surprise. I received ITA and CSQ in the same month and it took me out of a really bad phase. Immigration had been taking quite the toll on my mental health.

I am so freakin discouraged with the processing time for PSTQ/PEQ... I'm french canadian - my partner has been in Canada for 8 *YEARS*, has 2 phds in law, including one that she is completing in UdM in french, has been working at a good paying, french government job for 5 years, and we are still unsure what's going to happen - she could very well have to leave the country when her job permit expires.

So absurd... why do we put human lives through this constant anxiety? Why do we accept new immigrants instead of naturalizing the ones that are already here....
So disappointed in my country/province 😞

Posted this in the family class thread but I figure I should post it here as well. Have hope everyone!

Outland spousal, inside Quebec
Sponsor: Canadian citizen
Applicant: US citizen
VO: Sydney > Mississauga > Ottawa > Montreal

  • Date Submitted: May 27th, 2024
  • AOR: June 23rd, 2024
  • Sponsor Approval & Undertaking Invitation: June 27th, 2024
  • Medical Request: July 2nd, 2024
  • Medical Submitted: July 4th, 2024
  • CSQ Application Mailed: July 30th, 2024 (had to wait for a copy of my birth certificate)
  • Medical Complete: August 1st, 2024
  • Biometric Payment Request: June 18th, 2024
  • CSQ Received: November 13th, 2024

Enter a looooong wait. I sent multiple webforms during this time, and almost all of them received the generic reply. My medical also expired during this time. On February 18th, 2026, I sent another webform asking what's going on with my BIL and my medical, and then...

  • Biometric Request: February 19th, 2026
  • Biometric Submitted: February 23rd, 2026
  • Biometric Complete: February 23rd, 2026
  • Eligibility Complete: February 19th, 2026
  • Medical Expiration Extended: March 4th, 2026 (extended to February 2027)
  • Background Check Complete: March 16th, 2026
  • Prearrival Letter: February 20th, 2026
  • Final Decision: March 13th, 2026
  • PPR: March 18th, 2026 (immediately sent in a webform explaining that i'm now in Canada and need to land virtually)
  • April 13th, 2026: After two webforms, IRCC confirmed that they did not receive the March 18th webform, but have now forwarded my virtual landing request to the proper offices
  • P1: May 7th, 2026 (replied immediately)
  • P2: May 26th, 2026 (submitted immediately)
  • Edit: eCoPR received on June 1st, 2026!!

I'll update when I receive eCoPR! This has been a long journey, but I'm glad it's finally almost over. I ordered GCMS notes in December and saw that my application hadn't been touched since November 2024, so I believe my application was forgotten. It sucks and a lot of time was wasted because of it, but the past is in the past and we can only look forward to the future now! I did apply for a SOWP in November 2025, but I didn't receive the AOR for that until February and nothing has moved with it since then, so I'm assuming they'll cancel it when I receive my PR (or we'll have to request to cancel it). Good luck to my fellow Quebec applicants! The processing times were around 34 months when we applied, and tomorrow we hit 24 months since we submitted the application, so don't be discouraged!

5

u/OldTomato2853 May 27 '26

Congradulation. I applied in June 2024, and I know lots of fellows applied in April 2024, still waiting. Does GCMS work?

3

u/mugmik May 29 '26

Sorry, reddit never sent me a notification for this. Thank you! Yes, I learned quite a bit about my application through the GCMS notes, and they only take about a month to receive! I would recommend requesting them if you feel something is off with your application

u/mariposa0 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

Congratulations that’s awesome!! It’s giving me hope that my October 2024 application will eventually get there! I am just wondering if you speak French? There’s applications from April 2024 in the thread below that haven’t gotten theirs yet, and I am trying to understand what causes the line to move 😂

Arrima:

  • 16-Apr-25: Application submitted to Arrima (PEQ Travailleurs) - only me
  • 18-Sept-25: CSQ issued. Canada Post was on strike so it took longer to receive my physical CSQ :(

Federal (IRCC):

  • 23-Oct-25: Application submitted
  • 16-Jan-25: AOR + bio (Completed on Jan 20h).

Master level meditation silence after that.
I called them in April and was told that the process was on the 2 phase of backgrond check and the third (and last) hasn't even begun yet.

Unfortunately I had a OWP renewal refused in 2023, due to a mistake on their evaluatin of my eligibility. A lawyer fixed it a new valid permit was issued one month later, and after I had a LMIA approved but I am dying to change jobs.

I know that marking YES as having had a visa denied in any country makes my process go trhough manual evaluation - running more slowly. But it's all explained everywhere.

Anyting else I should do? I see so many other PEQ applicants from october and even november with their EcoPR already. Anxiety reached is peak.

PEQ : CSQ received Nov2024

Federal Submission : 26 Nov 2024

Radio silence… My work permit expired on November 19, 2025, and I was worried, sad, and angry , all my emotions were overwhelming. No AOR, no valid work permit 😞

But in Oct 2025 Employer submitted an offer of employment for me under A74/CSQ Closer Work Permit

And then, as if by some miracle, IRCC started processing my application just a few days later.

AOR-Biometrics-Medical: Oct 2025,

Medical passed - Oct 2025

Colombian Police Certificates requested: IRCC received them Nov 16

IRCC requested new photos : Jan 2026

GU: Feb 5 2025

P1 : Feb 6 2026

P2 : 16 Feb 2026.

ECORP: : FEB 27 2026

Gracias Dios! These Reddit and Facebook groups helped me a lot to understand timelines, documents, and crucial information. I did the entire process completely on my own, without the help of consultants or lawyers, from study permit to permanent residence.

Be patient, your time will come. On the 28th, I celebrated 4 years since I arrived in Canada, and I achieved my first goal: becoming a permanent resident.

Hello, For those who applied for Federal PR (PEQ)Inland in late October, what is your current status?

I submitted my application on October 24. I completed biometrics on January 22, and since then I haven't received any updates.

Could you please share your timeline and current status? Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 Jun 06 '26

I am also an inland applicant. Submitted November 16, biometrics done on April 22, no news since. IRCC hasn't even looked at the additional docs I submitted via webform yet. Just an all-around slow process right now.

Timeline: PR application via PEQ Travailleurs / Quebec-selected skilled workers

Inland application. Two people in the process: Me (main applicant) and my spouse (conjointe).

Provincial Stage / Étape Provinciale (Arrima/MIFI):

  • 30-Jan-2025: Attestation of democratic values completed.

  • 22-Jul-2025: CSQ issued.
  • Note: I was away on vacation when the physical CSQ arrived, so I'm not sure of the exact delivery date.

I was laid off during the CSQ obtention process but decided to move forward. That is why it took me more than two months to send my application to IRCC.

Federal Stage / Étape Fédérale (IRCC):

  • 03-Oct-2025: Application submitted to IRCC.
  • 02-Dec-2025: AOR received (Acknowledgement of Receipt).

  • 25-Feb-2026: Medical results passed (Status updated in the portal).
  • 13-Mar-2026: IRCC request for Police Certificates and updated Schedule A (Background Declaration).
  • 10-Apr-2026: Police Certificates, translations, and Schedule A documents for both me and my conjointe formally submitted to IRCC. This was the deadline for the police certificates.
  • 17-Apr-2026: Approval of permanent residency application. Email sent to IRCC with requested information
  • 22-Apr-2026: Email from IRCC received to go to IRCC portal to confirm presence in Canada, upload phtos and provide address

Anyone has the same concern that due to the long wait times, many people have valid results (within two years) when they applied but invalid at the time of receiving csq. idk if mifi will ask applicant to take French tests again when they process the application.
Anyone has the same situation but asked to redo a french test?

3

u/Deda-Mraz Jul 10 '26

I'm not concerned and I would be surprised, if MIFI would make you redo the test. I think what matters is that the test is valid when you apply. It's MIFI's fault, if they take so much time to process.

4

u/Shynkar Jul 12 '26

Maybe I haven't scrolled far enough, but does anyone have a timeline for document submission in the PSTQ and all the steps after? I submitted mine back in March, did the certificate for valeurs democratiques & quebecois in the same month, and no news until now. My French test results expire in October. I'm concerned that when they get to my files, they may ask me to redo French tests. Would the PEQ that just reopned have a shorter processing time, and is it worth it to apply to that too if I meet all their criterias?

2

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

They should evaluate based on the documents you submitted. Reapplying for PEQ may hurt you because a case already exists. Even if you apply, it doesn't mean it would be faster.

3

u/MrsPixelson Jul 13 '26

People who applied thru PSTQ with Open Work Permits expiring soon - have you received your CSQ recently? Is the government really prioritizing those without options to renew?

If yes, when did you submit your finalized application to Arrima please?

2

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 Jul 16 '26

My PGWP expires August 2nd, applied for CSQ in March and still no news.

4

Hey! I applied April 2024 Inland and I’m still waiting. Anybody applied 2024 and still waiting? Anybody got P1 already? Will love to hear your timeline thanks

2

u/Tricky-Procedure-178 Jan 13 '26

I think you might be referring to an inland spousal sponsorship here. I am inland April 2024 too and no update here - plenty of folks from Dec 2023 onward waiting for their background check to be completed. Same for me, everything else is done (eligibility on both ends including AIP letter, lsaa, medical expired in June 2025 with no extension yet). We still have some waiting to do...

u/OldTomato2853 Jan 13 '26

Same here. Submitted in july 2024, all completed except Background. Still waiting

Bonjour,

Voici mon historique final.

3

u/Intelligent_Force700 Jun 17 '26

Hi! I couldn’t find any CSQ approved 2026 that had been submitted in 2026.  Could anyone share their timeline to have some hope?  I know federal times are crazy as well but at least I would like to know aprox where are the Quebec officers; maybe still processing oct 2025?

3

u/Firfi Jun 22 '26

Maybe january/february submissions will make it somewhere november/december. That's what I heard from an immigration lawyer. Later PRs are likely to happen next year.

u/WalkFront7256 Jun 18 '26

Hello! I submitted my CSQ application on November 9, 2025, and I still haven’t received any decision. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I believe it may take at least another couple of months before applicants who submitted their files in 2026 start receiving responses from the MIFI.

That being said, MIFI previously mentioned that they are prioritizing applications from individuals whose work permits have already expired or are close to expiring. For example, applicants with work permits expiring around August 2026 may be processed on a priority basis.

u/Turbulent_Ganache Jun 23 '26

FYI: Quebec just changed the rules once again and will now be receiving applications based on when you got your eligibility from IRCC (https://cdn-contenu.quebec.ca/cdn-contenu/immigration/formulaires/fr/Regroupement_familial/CAL_Regroupement_familial_2026-2028.pdf). If you have not submitted to MIFI (Quebec) yet due to the quota, buckle up, as you are unlikely to be able to submit for a long time unless you got your eligibility letter in 2024. I've had my AOR since September 2025 and my eligibility letter since February 2026, but I won't be able to start any processing until September 2027. Make sure you check your status if you have not yet sent information to MIFI, as this might make it one to three years longer than you expected.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my timeline for the Permanent Residency application under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW) / PR - Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) and see if anyone is in the same boat.

Here is my current timeline:

Is anyone else who applied around November 2025 or early 2026 getting any updates, or are we all just waiting in the IRCC black hole? Would love to hear your timelines!

I received my invitation in September (PSTQ – Skilled Worker stream) and submitted everything on October 5. I completed the values test on January 15, and my application has been “pending review” since then. My work permit expires on June 1. Should I accept the Express Entry invitation I just received, or can I still wait for the CSQ?

2

u/immiuserQCPR Feb 12 '26

My CSQ was in "pending review" for 5 months. There is no way or exact timing for CSQ processing. Each case is unique. If you don't have a way to extend your current WP, you may do a scenery evaluation and make a decision according to your situation. Bear in mind that the PR request itself doesn't give you status. You may apply for a WP renewal while waiting for CSQ and before the current permit expires. it will give you implied status. Once you receive the AOR, update the WP application via webform, provided you apply for PR As soon as you receive the CSQ

On the express entry side, you could apply for PR immediately, obtain the AOR, and apply for a bridging work permit even before the current permit expires. Again, timings are really difficult to predict; it is up to you to make the call.

In my view, you have a lot of choices, but you have to act promptly.

It is advisable to seek professional assistance from an immigration specialist.

Good luck.

2

u/FastAndCurious72 Feb 13 '26

If you can go Entry Express ! You'll be able to have PR quicker and as soon as you receive AOR, you'll be eligible to a temporary open WP, that's a no brainer.

PSTQ program has only delivered 5 actual CSQs since it's actual implementation and in the unlikely event you receive it before June 1st, you must also account for AOR timing at the federal level !

PSTQ recent timeline 2026 :

  • Invitation of interest for the PSTQ :2026-01-31
  • Application for the PSTQ : 2026-02-15
  • Quebec value test done : 2026-02-16

---
still in process for the rest, will update when i have more, but i have a question : It was very quick when I received the request to take the value test. Does that mean the process takes less time, or is it just random?

If anyone has completed the Quebec value test, please let me know how long it took to get a response. I would appreciate it.

for those who got the eCOPR, I'm curios about the time frame since replying to the P2 email up to eCOPR. IRCC has told me that Montreal office is dealing with my file.

PSTQ volet 1 :
délais de traitement! PLEASE if anyone has any insight on processing times

My PGWP expires 9 june
April 19 : got my test de valeurs demo
It’s been 2.5 weeks and im running on a deadline.

2

u/Active-Hotel9566 May 07 '26

Hey, I submitted my file for pstq volet 1 on sept 11 and got my csq on april 28. The processing times are pretty long, I would recommend going forward for a closed permit via your employer.

2

u/0-110 May 07 '26

Been 7 months in bro. Volet1 since October. You need to maintain status. I believe they opened a way to apply for a Closed work permit while waiting. The hard part is to get your employer or a job to send an offer of employment to ircc employer portal.

Hi,

I’m reposting my application status to see if anyone has experienced something similar or can suggest what I should do next.

Inland – Skilled Worker under PEQ

  • Applied: August 19, 2025
  • AOR / Biometrics Fee / Police Clearance: September 11, 2025
  • Biometrics Submitted: October 09, 2025
  • Medical Passed: October 18, 2025

Since my medical passed, I haven’t received any further updates. I contacted IRCC, and they confirmed that my file is still in process and within normal processing times. They also mentioned there are about 12,400 applicants ahead of me and roughly four months remaining in the official processing window.

At this point, it feels like my application might be stuck or frozen, possibly due to a technical issue, because nothing has moved since October. I’ve also noticed that some applicants with similar timelines have already received decisions much sooner.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Is there anything I can do to get more detailed updates or ensure there’s no technical problem with my file?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Bonne courage!!! Welcome to the team, we're in a general slowdown process. At least in this chain, only 1 dossier received medical phase within this year; the rest of us, especially from November 2025 upward, have received only biometric requests, with an AOR after roughly 4 months submission. So, hopefully all of us receive good news soon.

2

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 May 16 '26

I know it won't make you feel better, but I applied November 16, 2025 and got AOR / Biometrics Fee on February 28, 2026. As of today (May 16, 2026), I have only given my biometrics. Have not gotten a medical exam request. So we're all dealing with slower processing times right now and it's not fun.

But just know that you're not alone in this and I (along with everyone else on this Reddit thread) hope you get a positive decision ASAP. We know you've worked really hard to get to this point.

Quebec Skilled Workers - single applicant

27 Nov 2025 - PR application submitted (694 points)

No response since. I don't know if there is a problem with the file I submitted. My company applied for a validated job offer, but even that is still processing (2 months now). My permit expires in November along with my Passport. No idea of what I can do

Hi, I would like to know if creating an account on PR portal while waiting for CSQ is possible in order to save time later on.

3

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 14 '26

In fact you need to start completing tons of details , double-check, re read , etc , so start right now. Load all the documents you will need , translations, etc . Once you have your csq , update it , and also go to the profile personal info section and click update , that will take the current date , otherwise your aplication will have the last date you updated it , causing then to request updated forms.

Don't forget to include the fees receipt , including biometrics and all fees corresponding to your situation, otherwise it will cause also extra delays.

Good luck.

u/Top-Bunch5172 Jul 14 '26

yes you can create your PR portal user, and you can start the application, you will need your CSQ number but you can add it before to submit, its important to do it because the application requieres you more information than the CSQ, for me it took me several weeks to finish it.

Hi all, sharing my timeline for Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) application with common-law:

  • Federal application submitted: Feb 24, 2026
  • Resubmit due to insufficient fund: May 9, 2026
    • IRCC returned my application since they increased the application fee on Apr 30, 2026
  • AOR received: Jul 15, 2026
    • Via email
  • Biometric fee requested: Jul 15, 2026

No updates since then, do you think we will get the Biometric request, medical, etc... anytime soon? :(

2

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 27 '26

Not paying biometrics fee with the initial application will produce a delay, first you must pay , load it , then once they confirm payment , will issue the biometrics request letter, that could take weeks, even months, so , be patient.

Good luck.

Did anyone who applied through the PSTQ Volet 1 in 2026 get his CSQ?? If so can you let me know when you applied?

2

u/Fun-Elk9662 Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26

they have a very strange timeline for different candidates. Like some have expired work permits and submitted beginning this year but still no hearing back anything. Some submitted in like April with work permit expiring in 2028 but got it in 3 months. The internal review seems to be a full of mess and I really think that the money, time and energy that we have spent here is totally wasted. Like seriously why don't have people to write some letters to report them

Hi,
I applied in August 2025, and my medical exam was approved in October 2025. I also received the pre‑arrival letter before the medical exam. After that, I have not received any updates.

I requested help from my MP to get a status update. When the MP contacted IRCC, they were told that my application is at the Montreal office and is waiting for security checks.

When I check the processing timeline on the IRCC website, it says that applicants who applied in August 2025 and have not received updates may require more time.

At this point, I don’t know what else I can do. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Also, if I order GCMS notes, do I need to request a status check or a complete application check? If I request GCMS notes, will it speed up the process? Any experiences?
