Any updates on applications submitted late 2024 / early 2025 Inland Quebec? Haven’t seen any QC updates in a long time

Just another disappointing addition, but I’m inland QC, April 2024 waiting for a decision here also :( The only recent movement was them updating the expired health check result

I totally understand how you're feeling as I'm from April 2024 inland QC too, and me too I got my medical extended in GC Key on May 15, but that's it. We're coming up on 26-27 months...

The last two I saw here were inland April 2024 and inland May 2024. But these are just two in many, many months that I've seen.

I'm inland QC April.2024 and I was just talking with someone from the same month as me that we're under the impression everything is dead inside Quebec right now and that they just aren't getting processed at all.

At this point I have honestly lost hope of getting my PR by the end of the year, I'm kind of suspecting I'll be done with it by April/May 2027. I also started preparing my new open work permit application as the other one is expiring, so at least I'll have status for 2 more years.

This province is absolutely fricking brutal and they just announced the quotas for the CSQs and they're only gonna receive 15.000 applications by the summer of 2028. 🫠

I'm in a group chat with someone who applied may 2024 inland quebec who recently got P1 this week! but it's slow for sure... applied May 2024 and feeling sooo much envy right now haha. It's coming! I do believe we'll have an answer by the end of the summer. just annoyed I had to shell out another 250 for my work permit renewal since it's been 2 years already...

Sending good vibes your way!! I hope you get positive news soon!

My husband is from July 2024 and I have the same feeling as you. His work permit was expiring in December, I already sent the documents, and in two and a half weeks it got approved ! His permit is now valid until June 2028. I’m honestly really discouraged and tired, especially when I see that almost no one from March, April, and May is getting any responses. I’ve basically lost hope for July. Like you said, it might end up happening next year.

Oh, good to know! I sent out my new OWP application last week so I'm happy to hear they processed it quickly for your husband. As for what you said about July 2026.. I don't wanna sound like a downer but look, I'm from April 2024 (inland QC) and soon we're gonna be in July 2026 and I still didn't get P1 yet (so I'm gonna be at 26 months+). I'm not even the only one in this situation since I just saw an applicant from January 2024 (inland QC) finally get their eCOPR, so that means that they were at 30 months (no comprehensive background check, either). But maybe you're gonna be lucky and get it sooner. :)

Yes, I send his work permit on May 31, and he received it in the mail today! At least something was processed quickly.
As for the waiting time, I know it won’t happen anytime soon. And no, I don’t think he’ll be that lucky 😂. He’ll have to wait like everyone else.

Have you got any update?

2

u/Audreyy15 Aug 31 '26

No :( and you ???

2

u/OldTomato2853 Sep 05 '26

Nothing at all😟

2

u/Audreyy15 Sep 05 '26

😫 !!! I even requested the ATIP notes over a month ago, and I still haven’t received anything. It’s really frustrating because there are no updates anywhere. I just want to know what stage the application is at.

I know it doesn't feel like it, but if it's any consolation, they have approved more Quebec applications so far this year compared to the same time last year. I applied in May 2025, so you're already a whole year ahead of me! Here are the numbers for the sponsored spouse or partner class:

Q1 2025 = 1275
Q1 2026 = 1365

April 2025 = 350
April 2026 = 750

Hey, that's nice to know, although statistically I've seen a lot more posts from outland applicants than inland (both from QC). But in any case, maybe they'll get to rhe 2024 files this year after all. Thanks for the link

u/jujunutsee Jun 18 '26

Yeah, I saw those! It’s so few of us that I almost feel like I could remember their usernames lol.

I just saw the announcement, considering the backlog the quota will fill up pretty fast (or not, depending on actual processing times), one can only hope we’ll somehow squeeze in.

I’m March 2025 Inland QC so I’m going to assume the worst given the trends, and next year I’ll renew OWP.

They also already have over 12000 waiting, so theres really only about 3000 spots (probably more since i dont think the whole 12000 is going to get approved)

2

u/Audreyy15 Jun 25 '26

Ok but don’t you already have your CSQ? How do the quotas they just announced affect us?
In my case, my husband already received his CSQ in December 2024 he was part of the 10,000 or so applications they approved before closing in July 2025. So theoretically, I don’t really understand how this new announcement would affect us.

3

u/Tricky-Procedure-178 Jun 25 '26

It doesn't affect me if that's who you were asking. I am fortunate to have my CSQ since June 2024 - Thank God! I would have beeb completely desperate if I didn't have it... i hope all of us from '24 start getting great news soon 🙏

1

u/Tricky-Procedure-178 Jun 20 '26

What do you mean? There are literally 40.000 submitted applications in total, including the ones that have the CSQ and the ones that don't. Quota is 10k per year and with the new CSQ requirements, people are gonna be at 5 years wait time. You were referring to 12k submitted since they stopped giving out CSQs? If that's so, they're gonna run out of 'em super fast.

My gckey tracker switched to say final decision on july 15th, but no other updates yet! Hoping for P1 in the next few weeks. I applied may 2024 inland QC and my last update before that was medical getting extended May 15th 2026. Before that nothing since november 2024!

2

u/jujunutsee Jul 18 '26

Ayyyyyy!!! Fingers crossed for that P1 ASAP!!!!

3

August 2024, still waiting.

2

u/jujunutsee Jul 31 '26

Thanks for sharing, as much as I wish we all were getting updates it helps to know that so many from 2024 are still waiting.

2

u/Western-Magicians Jul 31 '26

Of course! I know, I wish things would move faster for all of us, but it does help to know that many, if not most, of us are in the same boat. I'll let you know if/when I have an update. Best of luck to you, and wishing you a peaceful and fun rest of summer. :)

2

u/jujunutsee Aug 01 '26

Thank you, likewise! <3
