For me it just has to be the gravity gun left click blast sound. Never enjoyed it even though it is iconic.

I feel like if we ever get a Half-life movie, I would like it to be similar to the new resident evil movie, and original story that takes place in the universe that doesn’t rely on you having knowledge of the games to enjoy them. I know Zach cregger’s Resident Evil doesn’t take place in the same universe as the games, and that’s fine. But I think a Half-life film can actually make a movie that does take place in the same universe of the games ,and tell an original story, with original characters. What if we got a film that took place alongside HL1 during the Black Mesa incident kind of like the expansions or better yet what if we had a game that took place in between the events of Half-life 1 and 2 during the portal storms, it could just be a film about people trying to survive from Headcrabs, Ant-lions, and maybe even Vortigaunts, before they turned good, there would also be much more room to create original content for the universe. It should be similar to this film because it should just be about one person trying to find weapons, survive, fight aliens, and beat the odds. Smart people surviving against all odds is what the Half-life series is kind of about. I think if they were going to adapt Gordon story it would work better as a TV show, rather than a movie franchise.

When i try to play the game the window disappears but things are still happening. I dont have this issue when doing the training but idk why the main game does this

Despite how terrible the Combine occupation is, there are some silver linings! Let’s see….

Oceans draining means the ice caps melting won’t flood any lands. Uhhh…. all debts are gone! Gordon no longer has to pay for his student loan debts. It’s a very black and white government system - no hidden angles. We know it’s bad, so no longer have to worry about voting who’s in office.

Industry! Completely gone! No more capitalism! Sony, Microsoft, Disney…. no longer being screwed over for money stuff! No social media! That’s a big one! Now we HAVE TO talk to people IRL for friendship!

And let’s not forget AFTER the Combine occupation ends, think of the opportunities for innovation with the leftover Combine tech!

How bout chu? What are some positives of the Combine occupation? It won’t outweigh the negatives, but it’s nice being half full sometimes.

Who needs the long jump module when the local wildlife is more than happy to launch you across the entire dimension for free?

It's my first playthough since I was a kid and I realized that you could bring the Deactivated Roller Mine from Black Mesa East's Dog Fetch section with you and made the personal challenge to bring it as far as I could. Which was really fun!! I had to learn what the rules of how it worked and what destroyed it and all that! And it was just cute, like a puppy constantly following me! Helping me fend through the horror section of the game! Which definitely improved the Ravenholm experience, even if the horror was mitigated.

And I knew I couldn't take it with me all the way through the game but like. I made it to the mines, and apparently these explode in water contact. And there was no feasible way I could take it through the section where you swim through a flooded section.

So I left it behind. I made a friend and I had to abandon it. :(
I left it in the first room of the mine, on the otherside of the fence, so it wouldn't follow me. And it still threw itself at the fence to try and get to me.

I'm angry that Valve managed to Companion Cube me. Again!!

I've been working on a side project for the launching of free goldsrc servers. You just sign in through steam and then you can launch a server in 2 clicks.

Currently I'm supporting sven coop and cs 1.6. All the classic half life maps are included for sven as well as a bunch of custom maps.
