Please don’t think “oh this message isn’t that bad, I’m overreacting, etc”. Reporting posts, comments, and DMs helps out everyone in the long run. Not reporting causes these creeps to keep messaging people so nipping it in the bud can help out others💕

We shouldn't have to say this, but lurking in beauty-related or appearance-focused subs to harass and prey on people is disgusting and absolutely not tolerated. i need yall to be honest too:(! i wanna dye my hair this color, i wouldn’t want the yellow to orange roots but rather red roots!!!! but i was just wondering if it would even suit me and my skin color:(( i had pink previously but it washed me out really bad:( and red looked wonderful on me but currently i have blue!! i would also want some help on how to switch my hair to this color without bleach. my roots are bleached, but i would want help with the blue lol
My hair dye is fading (last photo is it fading, second to last is what it was before) and I’m debating what I should do with it now. Sometimes I look at my natural hair and think that color is best on me but then I realize I want to be colorful so… any suggestions for my hair next?
My last few visits were lightening it with blonde highlights but I decided to get a full pink.
And now that I've looked at it a bit, I noticed a ton of blonde stands and a missed spot at the roots.
If anyone has gone from blonde highlights to a vibrant color, could this be just how the dye held to different shades of blonde? Ooor does it looks like it was missed?? My roots are super pink but bottom part is multi colored. (Very obvious when wearing a ponytail.)
I did get it bleached and it was suppose to be a full dye of hair.
This is my first time with a stylist and im freaking out about messaging them asking to fix because I dont think I can handle being charged more.
Also I was going for pastel pink but was fine with going darker because it'll fade with wash. So long as its not hot pink.... is this not hot pink? 😫
Hi all! A few weeks ago I already asked about some hair glosses. I loved the copper hue it gave, it washed out and now I’m ready to go the next step and dye my hair!
I am naturally a medium dishwater blonde (as this picture was taken in the sun it seems a bit brighter). I’ve grown out all hair dye. I really love the blonde copper look in the inspo picture and the reflection in the sunlight.
My friend recommended the Schwarzkopf IGORA Vibrance shades, she dyes her hair red with them frequently. Stupidly I ordered the 7-57 and 7-77 with the vol. 6 developer, because I thought “ah it’s labelled as medium blonde, that’s me” but it seems quite brown in all other swatches…
Does anyone have advice for what I other IGORA Vibrance shades I could change it to so I can get as close to the inspo as possible without bleaching?
Lesson learned already, won’t buy before consulting again, so please don’t be mean🫡
I went to a new hairdresser today who specializes in fashion color. I asked for a vibrant reddish orange (will include the inspo picture i showed her at the end).
I ended up with a kind of patchy neon pink.
I've dyed my hair at home many times before, I was wondering if applying some orange or red manic panic hair dye would work ? Should I wait until it's more faded or could I go and dye my hair tomorrow ?
The dye she used is semi-permanent. Thanks in advance !
Hi everyone! I'm new to the hair-dying community and I want to dye my naturally black virgin hair like a dark brown (just a few shades up). I'm wondering if a permanent brown box dye would do that? I want to achieve it without bleaching and I heard that there's something called 'high-lift' that would achieve it?
I saw this one tutorial where someone used ash blonde box dye and it turned their black hair a light brown, but I want mine a darker chocolate/rich brown.
However I'm really scared about my hair turning brassy/orange.
If someone has successfully turned their virgin black hair a dark brown colour using a box dye could you please give me tips/tricks and what box dye you used!
Hey everyone!
I just got the demi permanent 5RR shade but don’t know much about hair chemistry. I included pictures of my current hair (one inside one outside) which is a dark medium brow with highlights.
Can anyone give me an idea of what it will look like? I’m looking for darker with a hint of red. Thank you all so much in advance! :)
hi yall,
i’ve been dying my hair pink with splat midnight magenta for a few months now, i’ve died it three times since june because it keeps fading really quickly. ideally, i would
bleach my hair and get it fully pink again, but im worried about damage. it’s very faded, and my hairs comparison of initial results to now after a month or so are shown. any advice? if it’s too risky to bleach i’m planning on a cool toned brown because my skin is cool toned/has pink undertones.
i had highlights that was starting to grow out before i had the pink, so my roots are very clearly brown and i dislike the color difference.
thanks!

I've made a post recently that had helpful replies, thank you so much! However... This one feels more urgent– personally, because it's something that has been making me very frustrated and sad.Sorry, this will be a long post.
For context: I've bleached and dyed my hair for the first time \ever* in summer 2024, on a hair salon. I retouched the color (blue) in october same year. For money reasons, I only retouched the color in like March/April 2025 at home with Manic Panic's After Midnight. Yearlier this year 2026 I did the same but this time mixing Shocking Blue and Ultra Violet iirc, but it didn't work as i wanted it to.*
So the thing is: I've always wanted a dark blue (navy kinda), that had like purple undertones? That would fade to a lighter/pastel blue or a greyish one.
something on this vibe. images are from pinterest
Unfortunately, I didn't take color theory in consideration as much as I should, bc bleached hair is yellow + the blue dye, the base will be waaayy more green. So every. single. time. it fades into a fugly turquoise/cyan/teal/wtvr. I know that's regular for blue dyes tho...
But to make it worse, today, after a WHOLE YEAR of not bleaching at a salon (i went in october 2025 even tho they came close to the color i wanted it was poorly done and the color faded COMPLETELY in less than a week ☠️) I decided to go, and discovered that for some reason my natural hair is just a pain to be bleached. To avoid frying it more, the lady decided to proceed with dyeing. I saw how yellow it was. I just accepted my fate, but honestly I should've asked to mix it with another color to make it darker.
They also used manic panic's shocking blue, and I really appreciate that the other stylist there went to buy a blue dye they didn't have just for my appointment, even giving me what remained for free. They were very nice and I think did a fairly great job, afterall it wasn't no super luxurious salon, rather a small one. I like the cut. Unfortunately I'm still sad and frustrated that most of the blue is a more vibrant high saturation and some strands are already turquoise/cyan. Opposite to what I wanted and fail to achieve.
my front camera is meh and i think it just made the blue seem even more of a lighter shade. you can't see the cyan strands but they exist
So I beg all of you PLEASE TELL ME what can I do, as soon as possible, to turn it into a darker, prettier shade of Blue that won't fade so strongly to cyan/turquoise. Should I use a toner? Top it with another dye? What color? purple, pink, another blue? I like manic panic so I really want color name suggestions. I'm desperate. And tired. I just want a dark blue/navy hair that won't turn/fade into turquoise or cyan.
Hi. So, I really wanted to dye it pink so I did it, but it looks like this. Which is the easiest way to correct the undertone, the cooler or the warmer?
Hey there
So I’ve been colouring my hair for about 10 years
Just bleached my natural roots and blue (as you can see))
But I can’t decide what colour to do next with that base
(Preferably cool tones, but any advice welcome!!)
I have two very small front “money pieces” of hair that I did one short round of bleach on a month or so ago, and then one round of blue dye after which has now washed out to green. The rest of my hair is virgin hair. I’m wanting to dye these front pieces (and a bit more) with loreal hicolor, but I know it’s meant for virgin hair. If I just apply the dye to the already bleached parts at the end and leave for a shorter time, would it be okay, or will it fry off the already bleached pieces?
I’m pretty sure I used this product on already bleached hair when I was in high school and my hair held up fine, but that was a million years ago and I can’t really remember if my hair was, in fact, previously bleached.
Hi guys i recently dyed my hair from black box dye to red and i had to bleach my hair twice (not in the same day) to get to the vivid color i wanted and now my curls disappeared wondering what i need to do to get my curls back and to get my soft hair back🥲🥲 thank you! i added a before (sorry i don’t have the best before) and now picture
Hi, I recently dyed my virgin dark brown hair with the bleach London permanent cherry cola kit and foolishly did not do a strand test. It is much brighter than I was anticipating and much more red and I really do not like the results on me.
I’m just wondering whether this will gradually fade out (my hair is medium length) or whether I should go over it with a semi-permanent brown gloss? (And if so, how long will that last)
I dye my hair purple most of the time but last time (1 month ago) it turned out kinda blueish since the beginning and it also faded faster. What can I do to make it purple again without using bleach ? I tried to wash them with hot water and a regular shampoo last time but nothing changed it's like it stuck. Is there a way to remove it without damaging the hair and apply purple dye ?
