In my opinion Prime is the best broadcast for the NHL. I find the whole production better quality than other broadcasts (English btw).
Love me some good Wednesday night habs hockey!

I honestly think he will bounce back but this is really bad so far.

Philippe Danault. Danault and Bolduc have be PHENOMENAL so far this year. They’ve had great chemistry on their line with Texier.
Even though he’s very good, I believe that Texier is the weak link in that line. Demidov has a similar playstyle to Texier, while being more talented. If Bolduc and Danault don’t slow down by the time Demidov comes back, I hope we can see a Bolduc - Danault - Demidov line.
if we had a fully healthy forward group tonight I would love to see something such as:
Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Bolduc - Danault - Demidov
Kreider - Newhook - Texier
Kapanen - Evans - Anderson

It's so low resolution I can't read the score board. I even did a speed test to my tv and was getting 350mbps download to my tv so the stream should be fine and everything else looks fine but Amazon just sucks for some reason.

Did I miss the national anthem? Why did the national anthems weren’t broadcasted?

Hello all. Is anyone familiar with “The Monthly Ticket Drop”? What section/price are they typically? I did a quick search and didn’t find an answer. Thank you.

Anyone notice that Suzuki no longer celebrates when he scores. He doesn't raise his arms like most players. Or make any demonstrative joy to indicate a goal has been scored.
Why do you think he does this?

These are just my opinions on what I have seen thus far. I’ll be brief because I hate reading long posts…….Feel free to chime in, agree or disagree
Forwards: Kreider, Anderson (looks pretty good so far) and Newhook seem to have chemistry. I like to see them together.
Dach- I think his days here are numbered. I can’t even see him on the ice! I am not sure if its effort or he just does not have it anymore. Slovkosky: He just needs more time to get going. Saw some shades tonight. Caufield and Suzuki will be fine. We need Demidov back soon! No issues with the rest of the forwards we know what they are and their roles. I accept this.
Goaltending: I am fine with 1A and 1B (whichever is the A is debatable) for now. Let them go back and forth. Dobes has given up 6 twice and 5 once. He did not look particulary sharp tonight but you can’t blame him on a couple of goals.
Defence: Hutson is a stud. I think we are set there. Dobson is fine. I would like Engstrom and Reinbacher in the line up but two rookies in the top 6 is scary.
We have played tough opponents maybe except for one ( just got out goalied) I think we will be fine in the long run, although, I hate to say it this will not be our year to hoist Stanley. Next year we should be a well oiled machine. The 2C spot is still the issue. Is it Hage or do we give up assets and trade? Even if Hage does come later this year we should not expect him to be NHL ready from the get go.

I'm used to recording the games on either TVA or RDS and beginning to watch the game after its started as I have kids to put to sleep. As the game tonight is on prime, do we know if we have the option to start the game from the beginning after it has already started?

Heading to Montreal with a buddy for Leafs vs Habs on Boxing Day. Staying near Atwater, so looking for some good spots around there or close to the Bell Centre.
Been to Montreal plenty of times and hit places like Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Cloakroom and more. Love those spots but we'll be in jerseys, so probably not the vibe. Although I'd love a cocktail at Cloakroom at some point!
Was thinking Ye Olde Orchard or Mister Steer, but open to suggestions. Looking for some good food, drinks and a good party scene before and after the game.
Where would you guys recommend?

WSH average roster age: 28.8
MTL average roster age: 26.5 — before the Reinbacher callup

Does anyone in Montreal have insight on shops that sell older or vintage jerseys? There’s an abundance of places selling the same new jerseys for the season, but I’d love to find ones with older player names, particularly someone like Gionta or Markov. Any help is appreciated for a visiting fan!

Basically what the title says. This is a discussion post about Chris Kreider. How do you all feel about his performance on the ice so far? And do you think he’ll be a one and done or do you think his contract will get an extension next season?
It’s obviously too early to tell, but based off what you’ve seen from him so far do you think he likes the organization enough to stick around?

Man having to hear this guy call Cole Hutson “Caufield” 20 times when I should be hearing Pierre Houde during his final years is just hard to swallow.

Buffalo Sabres forward Beck Malenstyn is listed at 6 feet 3, 209 pounds, but he’s more than that.
He is a hard player. NHL hard. He not only hits, he initiates contact. He craves it.
Montreal Canadiens rookie defenceman Adam Engström is learning that part of the NHL game. On his first shift of Tuesday night’s 4-3 shootout win over the Sabres, he continued his apprenticeship by being introduced to Malenstyn’s NHL hardness.
Engström sat at his locker after Tuesday’s morning skate, 17 games into his NHL career, talking about the process of learning how to be NHL hard, battling in corners and boxing out in front of the net. It consumed his offseason, and he felt it was going pretty well.
“A big part of that is being stronger, and that’s something I really put in work this summer,” Engström said. “I feel the difference. I feel like I’m really stronger in the corner, boxing out.”
