Interesting. I was bracing for an announcement that he was going to be a regional chair or some other Ford appointee with direct influence over Guelph. Not endorsing this necessarily. Don't love AMO appointing a white male conservative to mentor the next generation of candidates. Because: 2026 Seems like a big whiff to me. I assume AMO bought the hale fellow well met Guthrie seen at conferences and not arrogant partisan Guthrie seen in Guelph.

Anyways, call me nonplussed

I’ve probably pissed off a couple of people today I’m sorry and I genuinely had to get my sick nephew to the hospital ASAP! I understand this isn’t justification for driving horribly and I truly am sorry.

I'm looking over Katherine Hauser's ward 6 election pamphlet with the heading "Elect Again." Well she wasn't elected as she was one of 26 candidates to go through an appointment process because of a vacancy on council with about 1 year left in a 4 year term on council.

She has never stood for election on council but I believe she has been elected to the school board.

Is her play on words bad form or am I overreacting?

Not going strong, mind you, but still going.

Six weeks from June 15? Well, today is October 15. That means we're coming up to the end of Week 18.

Last we heard from the city on this, they were expecting to be finished by the end of September. No news since then. Work (sort of) continues.

Why do we as a municipality not put performance clauses in construction contracts? What's the motivation for any of these companies to ever actually finish a project on schedule??

Hi everyone! Does anyone know a criminal lawyer, in Guelph, that they trust who can help with registering a peace bond? I am seeking a peace bond on the grounds of damage to my property and fear that this individual may harm my family.

Thank you!

I am not in Ward 2 nor I know this councillor, but this shows Thai Mac real face.

Hi everyone, my wife and I are moving this December to Guelph from London, as I’m starting a full time (and permanent) job here.
We thought London was an expensive rental market until getting into Guelph’s.
Anyway, we found a possible place near the Paisley St. and Norfolk St. (it’s not 2 Quebec). I’ve been warned about some sketchy neighbours, but nothing concerning the property. I just wanted to post here as I’m sure you all know about the area.
We currently live in downtown London, which is already sketchy, but how much more sketchy can Guelph be?
We find the unit great, and since prices are crazy we are seriously considering renting the place, unless there’s something really wrong with the area.
Thanks!!!

Hello! My daughter is looking for Habanero Lime Buldak. Anyone know of a local place that carries it?

Hello everyone, could someone kindly recommend a trustworthy civil litigation attorney in Guelph for property damage (nonconsensual tree cutting) and domestic issues?

Thanks!

Not talkin about a chain, like genuine flavourful unique pizza, unground gem type place. Sick of getting dominos, ginos etc etc

The cool weather rides are preferrable to hot and humid summer rides. Air pollution is less as well.

Other Weakerthans fans...are you out there? I can sing em...and I can play em on guitar...

Happy to Jam and sing most other things as well. From Deathcab to John Prime to David Allen Coe to Chris Cornell.

Good vibes only. I like to make high-level art for arts sake.

Interested in doing the 2026 Halloween Bar Crawl organized by Fright Crawl. Wondering if anyone has done an event with Fright Crawl and can give me some insight into how it was. Do alot of people show? How's the crowd? They mention 4 bars with no cover fee, do we still have to wait in long bar lines?

Hi everyone!! I’m looking to start a book club in Guelph with other women!! I’m 26, love to read and love the Guelph library. They have book club kits we could even use.

Would anyone be interested in this? Getting together once a month, enjoying some company, some conversation and some wine!

Comment or shoot me a message :)
