Included two clips, one of my 3 wood and one of my driver. 3 wood here went just about 260. Driver went about 255 with a ballooning slice. What am I doing wrong with my driver or what am I doing right with my 3 wood?
3 wood is a callaway rogue max d with a regular shaft that I bought used.
Driver is a callaway rogue max d with a stiff shaft that I was fit into about 3-4 years ago.
This only started recently, I had a back injury about 6 weeks ago and took about 3 weeks to recover. Ever since, my driver has become the worst club in my bag.

Most common flaw I see on the sub is a poor concept of pelvis movement. I'll save everyone the 15min video if you don't want to watch it (you should), but early extension starts in the backswing and most swings I see on here are guilty of it.
Center of your pelvis should never get closer to the ball in a good golf swing. If it does it causes all sorts of strike issues and path issues, as the hips invade the space the arms require to approach the ball shallow and from the inside. Steep vs shallow is a dead horse IMO, and yes some successful golfers are more steep than shallow, but all good players create space for their arms while all higher handicaps invade that space by trying to first rotate around their trail hip, then reversing that pattern in the DS.
Both moves rob you of precious space for your arms to extend through the ball to the target. If you chicken wing, shank, toe, fat, thin, stand up, hang back or reverse pivot, this simple concept to understand will get you going in the right direction.

Find ONE thing you need to improve in your technique.
Focus that one thing in practice then forget about it on the course. Train it, trust it.
It’s important to work on technique in practice, but equally important to practice without technical thoughts.
It’s also quite important to identify what that one technical focus should be. A good coach can help with that (perhaps you can be your own good coach!).
You can’t go from swinging like a 20 handicap to swinging like a professional in one day. You have to build it one piece at a time. Hopefully you can identify that most important piece.

My short game does also suck which is part of the reason why I’m at this handicap and I’m working on improving it.
But recently I’ve really been struggling with heel/hosel contact. Tried standing further than I usually do but it seems like my body will subconsciously compensate for that and still strike with the heel/hosel of the club. Any tips?

Driver swing first video, 5 iron swing second video
High handicapper here and just started working on the swing this past spring. Its a bit late but I’m finally getting my first lesson in a couple of days.
I’m thinking of starting to work on my iron swings since i generally pull them all (and top most of the time) but im curious as to which one to focus on first. I’ve always known “start small then move up” so I’m leaning toward getting my started with the irons.
Check out both of my swings and let me know what you think!

Anyone else think you have a good swing until you see a video your buddy took 🤣

You're 50 yards from the green, flat surface, ground is a bit moist and the ball is down in thick rough but not buried in the earth.
What club are you using?

Been prioritizing a lot of short game recently, but still trying to have a consistent overall swing.

somebody got the golden tip to prevent this over the top move?
what I can see:
- long backswing
- no pressure shift to lead side
- still inside takeaway?
thanks in advance

I’ve only been truly playing for about a month and here are some new swings since getting bullied on my last post lol. First three shots I’m generally aiming at the back right green pin and the last shot I aimed at the green pin in the back left corner. Let me know what you all think and give me any tips!

And for fun, try to guess my handicap and provide constructive feedback.

I’ve lost more than 80 lbs in the last year, and I’m having trouble getting through my left side and finishing where I’d like in my follow-through. It feels like it’s all arms post impact. Also trying to focus on staying more upright at address and still getting used to taking a fuller turn in the back swing while being able to generate more speed. Basically, my swing feels like a mess right now. Any advice on finishing rotation after impact and getting my hands more around my head?

Some days I hit the ball well, some days I don’t. This range session is the perfect example of that. Why is the first minute of this video I am hitting the ball all over the place (a lot off the heel and pretty much smacking it with the shaft) ~ to after the dissolve effect, the end of the range session I’m hitting the ball much cleaner. I’m a feel guy and the technicals are way over my head.

Seem to have very closed club face on takeaway and coming over the top. Trying to find drills or feels to work on but not finding it

Some background on myself and my game. I’ve been playing about 4 years now. I’m about 6’5” and very lean. I’m not super athletic but have a good feel for basketball. I really feel a disconnect between what my body is doing and what I feel with golf. Sorry for the upcoming yap session.
I’ve got a really good feel 30 yards and in. I love short game. My driver is my most confident club and keeps me sub 100 every round along with my short game. If my irons were halfway decent, I feel like I’d be breaking 85 consistently, whereas im typically struggling to shoot under 93.
But everything else in between is really really rough. My irons will do something different almost every swing. I can thin the ball. Hit behind the ball. Hit the hosel. It’s really all over the place. It costs me at least 5-10 strokes a round for sure.
From my self diagnosis, I really struggle with early extension. I can’t seem to rotate through the swing without standing up and humping the ball. I can’t seem to understand the lower half of my body.
Here’s a video of 3 swings with my pitching wedge. I’d consider these good shots for me but I’m still shooting up and humping the ball. I’ve found my only consistent shots are these short compact swings where I can feel the club hinge my wrists for me and sort of load. If I try a fuller swing, it all falls apart. I’m losing distance for sure. I’m hitting my pitching wedge around 120 in these videos. I know that’s not alarmingly short, but being able to consistently hit my driver 270 and in play has me sort of expecting more ability with my irons. In terms of distance and absolutely the consistency of them. Basically they just really suck and I can’t figure them out at all.

Typical previous 7 iron AoA is 7 degrees down and 1 degree inside out path. I can hit up on driver if I really tilt and try to hit the ball high so I can manipulate AoA but its not natural. I was told to pull down from the top. I am a former overswinger and flipper. I think I have most of that getting better, but still hitting down too much. Latest swing thought on this was to cast the club behind me at a 45 degree and it results in a less steep but tad too far from inside swing. I think I can fix with trying to cast directly down the target line so not worried about that, but still such a narrow arc on the way down. I am also focusing on a right hand only delivery as the pull down and previous style of swing was left hand only focused. Trying to get more natural in my feels. What are some drills that will help me get a better arc? Also, something looks off from after impact to finish, like I am not turning or something. Any thoughts on that appreciated.
