Spoiler alert: I did not experience beta Minecraft but I am heavily inspired by YouTuber Dialko’s videos and I am extremely interested in this era of Minecraft and building with the same blocks and matching the settings and everything. Especially the creepy and dark corners vibes of the wood and glass. Any comments/tips would be appreciated

Hi, im Katty, Kat, Katze, or just Lucas. I really love old Minecraft, especially versions from Pre-classic all the way to b1.8. “But Lucas, you are only 13 years old! how can you love old minecraft?” Well i dont know. I know I’m only 13, and i know I’m younger than even the first release of this game, but even then whenever i play alpha or beta versions i feel like i sympathize with it in some way. it’s just so comforting and creepy at the same time, and i love it. it feels like a game i would have definitely loved if i was alive in 2010. of course i can’t necessarily feel “nostalgic” about it since i never played it when those versions were first released, but to me those versions feel like the word “nostalgia” itself. maybe im just insane, or maybe im just a nerd, or maybe i just like simple, “boring” games. but yeah, im 13 and i love minecraft versions that were made before i was even a concept. (i tried to post this on r/Minecraft but it immediately got taken down.)

Hi, i’ve been trying to set up a LAN server via beta unleashed 2.0 on prism launcher and i keep getting stuck on the “Preparing world” screen. The troubleshooting section on the betalan github page says:

“I strongly recommend launching the server jar from your .minecraft directory if the loading bar gets stuck at "Preparing World" Most likely it crashed due to a mod incompatibility”

but i’m honestly not that knowledgeable about software and don’t know what this means in the context of the Prism launcher. Has anyone here tried this? How should i proceed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wanted to try out indev+ but my computers fans sound like a rocket taking off when games play at higher than 45 fps and indev+ doesnt have any settings to limit fps and setting all the graphics to fast instead of fancy doesnt work so is there some java parameter or obscure setting i can use or something?

For details im playing on the most recent version of multimc and i tried to limit javaw.exe's fps to 30 using the nvidia control panel while running it in admin mode but it didnt work.

Lots think the video named "Minecraft Tutorials - 01 - How to Survive your First Night" made by paulsoaresjr is the first lets play video being uploaded on July 29, 2010. However, I found one from May 12, 2010. It's an Indev video and has "Let's Play" in the title. It has actual commentary and isn't just a video showing gameplay.
