So my mothers b-day is coming up soon, she said i dont need to get her anything but i feel i should alteast do something or offer something? Im just not sure what, i dont have much money so im wondering if i should offer some service or get something really cheap? she likes sewing and candy, and reading those clichƩ romance storys.
I feel a gift card here would be lazy to say, to give. Im unsure but i need some possible ideas? or what have you done in the past for a family member?

My boss just went through his 3rd failed IVF implantation and my heart just breaks for him and his wife. During the transplant they found large cysts and they had to have surgery. I said: I donāt know your wife, but I wish I did so I could be on her team and be a support for her, and you. What can I do or give to show my support and empathy for the failed transplant? I absolutely love my boss he really sees me and our team. Want it to be classy but not cutesy. Thank you in advance! Budget 100$.

Hi! Iām based in the UK, London. Itās my mumās birthday in November and Iām stumped on what to get her. She recently quit her job and as she got older she became more withdrawn, dare I say - miserable lol. The type of old person who complains all the time about everything and doesnāt have any ambitions or hobbies/ interests. She just spends most of her day on her phone scrolling or binge watching dramas on tv.
I want to get her something that can encourage her to pursue a new interest, put the phone down or go out. This is tricky because sheās never really shown interest in anything in particular :( Over the years Iāve tried to encourage her to take up hobbies like crochet, sewing, even starting a course at university- but i think sheās just those people who donāt think they are capable of anything or unworthy of investing in themselves in that way?
Has anyone been in a similar position or have any ideas on what could entice someone like her? Last year I got my dad an Agatha Christie Puzzle Book and she hijacked it herself haha so I thought something similar? But I worry itāll be something she will hyper fixate on for a week and then fall back into old habits.
Would appreciate any recommendations!
Thank you :)
Age: Sheāll be turning 57
Budget: £150 max
Occassion: Birthday

My friend is turning 20 and she doesn't want gift cards or clothing, specifically asking for something functional that she could use as a lot of her previous birthday gifts are decorations or cute items that have no use out of them. Besides that shes really girly and into fashion. She also likes reading and thrifting vintage items. She travels back home for uni a few times a year so I was thinking of getting something for that. She also someone that likes personalized gifts. Does anyone have any ideas?? it doesn't have to be related to travelling.

Iām looking for a gift for my girlfriend, and I really want to get her something special and well thought out rather than just buying something expensive or generic.
Hereās a little about her:
Sheās 25 years old.
Sheās currently learning German and preparing to move to Germany, where sheāll start working as a nurse.
She absolutely loves makeup and is especially obsessed with skincare.
She doesnāt really have many hobbies outside of those interests.
She has a pretty small circle of friends.
Sheās not into gaming at all.
She already has pretty much everything she needs when it comes to technology.
Sheās not particularly obsessed with jewelry.
She loves peonies, but Iād prefer to get her something other than flowers.
A little more about her personality:
From what Iāve noticed, sheās someone who really enjoys taking care of herself and paying attention to the little details, especially when it comes to beauty and skincare. Sheās also entering a pretty big chapter of her life with moving to another country and starting her nursing career, so Iād love to give her something that makes her feel appreciated, supported, and genuinely understood.
I donāt want to assume too much about her personality just based on her interests, but I feel like sheād appreciate something personal and meaningful more than something flashy.
My question:
Based on everything Iāve described, what would you get someone like her?
Iām especially interested in creative or unusual gift ideas that she wouldnāt necessarily think to buy for herself.
Iād love to hear from women with similar interests, people who are really into skincare or makeup, or anyone whoās received a gift that genuinely made them feel special.
Iām located in Albania, so ideally something I could find or arrange here.

Okay guys, I need your help!!! šā¤ļø
My husband is turning 26 on November 3rd, and Iām planning to give him 26 different gifts for his 26th birthday because apparently Iāve decided to be THAT wife lmao. šš«¶š»
I want this to be a mix of thoughtful, useful, unique, romantic, and genuinely memorable gifts. Not just random things to make up the number, but stuff thatāll make him go, āOMG, she actually thought of this.ā š„¹ā¤ļø
A little about him:
Heās OBSESSED with cars š
Loves cameras and photography šø
Loves travelling š
Appreciates practical and useful things
I want some gifts to be sentimental/romantic too, because obviouslyyyy š« š
My overall budget is around ā¹70ā80k for all 26 gifts, so Iām open to a few bigger gifts mixed with smaller, meaningful ones.
Iām looking for ideas beyond the usual perfumes, watches, wallets, and generic gift hampers. Give me the unique stuff, the underrated finds, the gifts you gave your partner that they STILL talk about, or even something youād personally love to receive.
Please help a girl out ššš»
What would YOU gift your husband/boyfriend for his 26th birthday? Any creative ideas, car-related gifts, experience gifts, personalised gifts, or cute ways to present all 26 gifts are welcome!!
Basically, I want him to feel SO loved. š„¹ā¤ļø
Drop your best ideas belowww! ā¬ļøāØ

Hi there, I need some ideas for what to get a friend for her 18th birthday next week. I've only known her for a year through my apprenticeship.
I've already had a pillow printedāit's meant to be a bit humorousāand I don't want it to be my only gift.
She figure skates in the winter, crochets, and is otherwise a pretty typical girl, if you can say that. You know, into pink and stuff.
I donāt really have a lot of money, but another friend is also looking for a gift, so we could split the cost.
I really hope to find a few ideas here. Thanks in advance.
edit: It's a a graphic design apprenticeship

Okay I am looking for Christmas gifts that arenāt toys but are really fun for kids. For example, flashlights, tongs, tape measures, spray bottles. Like real things that would be interesting an open ended for toddlers - elementary school aged kids. I mean specifically things that ARENāT marketed as childrenās toys just regular items.

Hi!
So my best friendās parents have really taken me in as their own and I want to give them something nice. Iām far from my parents now. I get invited to their family dinners, and see them at various events weekly. She is in her 50s and is very much so a selfless type that always feeds everyone. He golfs a lot and is retired from the military.
What should I get them? Individual gifts or a coupleās present?

I'm looking for some xmas gift inspiration and would love to hear about the best gifts you've ever received (or given)!
It could be personalized or not, something beautiful, practical, unusual, or even something that solved a problem you didn't know you had.
I'm especially interested in gifts that made you think "Wow, this is actually perfect!" ā something that felt special, thoughtful, or genuinely useful.
What was the gift, and what made it so memorable?
I'd love to hear your stories and discover some unusual ideas!

My boyfriend is turning 30 next month, and for such a milestone birthday, I really want to get him something thoughtful. Iām working with a budget of up to $200 and here are some facts about him:
ā¢Hjs biggest goal is to one day own his own business. He has no idea what type of business he wants to own (āmaybe something in techā is the closest that Iāve gotten to a concrete answer). Despite these aspirations, he doesnāt really use any tech currently beyond his cell phone, and he doesnāt know how to code. He currently works as an analyst at a bank and has an accounting degree and an MBA
ā¢He loves classic rock and he plays guitar, but I generally avoid buying guitar stuff just because I donāt know enough about the very specialized guitar world to get him an appropriate gift
ā¢He generally likes football, hockey, and basketball and I know his favorite teams
ā¢He likes to go for runs, but he doesnāt like running enough to invest in high quality running stuff
ā¢He watches a lot of movies and his favorite genres are romance and classic horror movies
ā¢He occasionally plays video games. He said that heād be interested in playing the new Grand Theft Auto game, but I donāt think a new play station is in my budget. I miiighhttt be able to get him a Switch, but I donāt know if the Switch has any games that heād be interested in playing
ā¢He lives in a pretty cold state, but when I buy him cold weather stuff, itās pretty hit or miss on whether or not he actually wears it. I got him a Lululemon hoodie last year that he loves, but Iāve also gotten him Nike socks and beanies with his favorite sports logos and he doesnāt wear those
ā¢Other random interests of his include Taylor Swift, sushi and High School Musical
ā¢He does not read, does not do outdoorsy things, does not cook, isnāt really into art, and doesnāt travel (except to come visit me). Heās also currently living with his parents.

I have always been good at gifts, even as a little girl my mum would ask me what to get for grandparents, since I picked up on little stuff. I see a lot of veryyy general questions here with not much more info than gender and age. There are no personal gifts that are only based on gender and age. I figured I would make a little guide with examples to keep in mind throughout the year so you dont have to scramble last minute. Pick a category you think is appropriate for the relationship and just pay attention to these things.
Gifts create feelings beyond just "loved" and "celebrated", its good to consider what specific feeling you want to achieve, like being seen and heard, having your interests understood, feeling supported about insecurities, feeling appreciated for unseen actions, etc.
Category 1: Practical gifts (feeling supported, seen and improving comfort)
- note down things your person complains about (even in small ways, like an "ugh" or regular procrastination) or often asks help for. See if you can fix this for them. I got my roommates girlfriend a sturdy stepstool so she could reach the top shelf without help. Besides practicality, it let her know she is welcome and she is not just a guest here.
Other examples can be: complaining about backpain when cooking (worksurface too high/low = stepping box or heightened cutting board) or always running around to find the laptop charging cable (gift extras for the main rooms of the house so its always there)
Category 2: based on throw away comments (feeling heard and understood)
- note down anything they off handedly mention they like or miss. I once got a whole box of specific snack item cuz I once mentioned not being allowed them as a kid and always being jealous of the others, but still hadnt tried them as an adult.
Other examples are: nice editions of favourite childrens books, classes to something "theyve always wanted to learn" or think looks cool, trips to special places, new versions of something that broke, like special mugs.
The more offhanded, the more special. If someone straight up asks for a trip to paris, go for it, but the goal here is the "omg you remembered!!" Face.
Category 3: out of reach luxury group gifts (feeling like a valued part of a community)
Think of ways to give the person the thing they outright want but could never afford. I once got all my friends family and friends together to chip in for a week of holiday she could never take. The trade off here is that she only got 1 singular present, but it is a real wow moment, not only because its valuable money wise but also because it takes time and effort to organise and the person knows that.
I would recommend setting up a digital group card for this too, so everyone can write a personal message.
Category 4: homemade (feeling like they are worth other peoples time, feeling heard and understood)
I don't believe this one is restricted to children and artists. Learning a skill for someone feels special and makes them feel like they are worth your time. It doesnt have to be artistic. Learn to perfectly cook whatever their fav dish from grandma was, get them out of the house and wallpaper that wall theyve had the paper for for 3 years but never get to it, make a bunch of funny and heartwarming picture edits to display on their fancy framed tv, sow pillow cases that perfectly fit the colour theme that they could never find in stores, learn their language and translate your wedding vows to them on a nice print, etc.
Hopefully this helps people who see themselves as terrible gift givers get in the right frame of mind. Your problem isnt that you dont know them or cant think of anything, your problem is viewing thinking of gifts as a once a year activity instead of as an ongoing project.

My mom loves to travel, take classes, stay active, and go on excursions. This year she was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and with that and the treatments 3 weeks a month, it has disrupted the pace of life she's always enjoyed. I want to do something special for her this year while she can't travel and am looking for creative ideas she might enjoy that wouldn't be too taxing. I looked into a spa day at a resort with a lazy river to pamper her, but she can't receive massage or lay in the sun so options are limited. Has anyone received a memorable experience that might fall into this category? Thanks in advance!

It has only been about 2 months since we actually became friends but we are really close and we only have a few months to enjoy since after 12th boards, we will be seperated and don't know when we will meet again, nor will we be able to stay as close as we are right now so i want to gift him smth special
His birthday is in December so i have time to order things online and it's not last minute.
His hobbies are photography, cooking, sports, e-sports, watching movies, travelling, riding (no idea what he means by that)
He likes to drive around alone, take photos, big foodie, and likes shoes and watches.
He likes simple quartz watches (big fan of titan but my budget is limited as a teen). The same goes with shoes; i can't afford to give him the ones he wants.
I just want to give hik something thoughtful to express how special he is.
My budget 1.5k (15 usd dollars) i might be able to stretch it to 2k (21 usd dollars) idk i can't be sure.
i just want to have as many ideas and suggestions i can. So to all the guys (or girls) out there, you can suggest things that boys in general like.
And I'm not thinking of giving one gift, i was thinking that i can maybe do a gift box or smth if possible. So please help me out!!!! Btw he is turning 18 so it's even more special

It's my wife's 33rd birthday coming up. We've been in a LDR with my frequently visiting her for a number of years, and are finally reaching the point where she can come join me in Scotland. With her birthday approaching, I thought the coming move would be a cool theme. That said, I'm at a loss for what actual material things could work with it.
Thinking of what could and could not work: practical rather than decorative. She's very pragmatic, and I know anything you can't use will just sit around gathering dust!
