How to send FeedBack to google (regarding Gemini 🤖)
Hello to all,
This is a non-official subreddit made to centralise feedback some users of Gemini AI had.
We know that some of google official employees could be spotted all over Reddit, in different subreddits. So there is a non-zero chance some of them could read the feedback we share here on this subreddit, we don't have any numbers of proofs. But
But to augment your chance of being seen, it is also advised to post in the official channels Google has made:
1) BEST OPTION: Upvote or downvote (👍/👎) directly on a Gemini response
In the Gemini web app, click Good response / Bad response underneath the answer, then optionally add an explanation. Google explicitly says this feedback is used to improve Gemini's helpfulness, accuracy, and safety.
How to: https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/13275746
This is probably the most useful channel for model-behavior feedback, because Google receives the actual conversation context associated with your feedback.h
2) Google Gemini Apps Help Community:
https://support.google.com/gemini/community
TIt is a user-to-user community run within Google Support, with a Gemini Apps Team Community Manager and Google Product Experts participating.
___
3) If it's about Gemini API / AI Studio
If your feedback concerns Google AI Studio, Gemini API, model behavior for developers, API bugs, etc., there are separate channels.
- AI Studio → Settings → Send feedback is the direct in-product route.
- The official Google AI Developers Forum has an AI Studio section for questions, feedback and bugs.
Google AI Developers Forum - AI Studio
Gemini API - official feedback documentation
4) More general:
General Google Products Feedback: http://www.google.com/tools/feedback
That's appropriate for problems with Google's products/UI generally.
_______
Future Plans:
We are planning to start using some futuristic reddit tools, hopefully being able to summarize most of the feedback posted here in the future. And write a weekly post about it or so (or monthly). We will see.

Rant / Frustration Interesting experiment with Argon and Opus 5.5. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with usage issues with Argon.
I was an early supporter of Gemini because I loved the versatility of a lot of its products such as Notebook's massive context pool with live source toggling.
I wanted to test out Argon today after burning through usage at about 15% per pop just talking to it yesterday without a plan.
I use AI tools to help me with my creative writing - especially for keeping track of past character interactions and timeline continuity. I have been leaning on Claude and Opus 5.5 for my structure and Sonnet 4.6 to improve my prose.
I wrote an outline of the next chapter of the creative writing piece I have been working on and put it into both Argon and Opus with the usual context files like my style guide, past writings, character map, etc. Opus has a tiny context window even compared to standard Gemini (not Notebook and its super context), so I used the same outline and context tools for both as a control.
The first prompt gave them my outline and told them to rewrite it, keep whatever structure they want, but improve it and flesh out some subsection and scene ideas from a brainstorming list I put together
Both AIs gave me a fleshed out version of my outline with the exact same structure I gave them. I asked why and they both gave me the same response that since I gave them an outline, they were trained to follow the user outline despite my explicit command to improve it.
So the second prompt was to completely disregard the outline in the original prompt and create something new and better.
The third prompt I showed them the output of the other AI and asked then to evaluate it, give me frank criticism. Then rewrite the other's outline in a better way.
The fourth prompt I showed each the other AI's third result and told them to rewrite it using the same structure as the other for the outline but flesh it out better with better scenes and sections.
The fifth prompt I showed them the results of the 4th and told them to take the best parts of all 4 outlines and create the 5th and final perfect version.
The totally odd thing is what came out of the 5th prompt was almost identical between Argon High and Opus 5.5 High.
I had to stop at this point because Argon High was out of usage, but Claude and Opus 5.5 High was only at 41% usage. If I wanted I probably could have written the entire chapter with the usage I had left on Claude.
Absolutely ridiculous and the outcome was a little creepy and bizarre. Bodes ill for the future of AI-enhanced creativity.

Bug / Issue Anyone else unable to get gemini to consistently access emails?
Just wondering if anyone else has sporadic issues with gemini accessing your emails. One day it works- next day it says it doesn't have access?
I've made sure to always be very direct- Please check my gmail/workspace and find out information about X.
One day- perfect, next day can't find it no matter what I do- I just end up swearing at it and switching to Claude. I really want to like gemini but apart from general search it's just so sub par.

Rant / Frustration New usage limits MUST be a bug.
Just for context, I have google one, and as a result, get gemini plus. I only ever use gemini to generate images on flash 3.1 and the lowest thinking level. I have never changed these settings ever. Over the last couple days they completely inconsistent and absurdly high.
Another thing to keep in mind, I am not actually generating and using as many images as it may sound like. The overwhelming majority of the time it is me re-trying because gemini messed up, or making minor additional changes to previous images. I usually do not run conversations longer than 3-5 images because the AI starts to loop and not follow instructions. Most conversations I have are 1 or 2 long.
For most of 2024, 2025 and even the first half of 2026, I was able to do 100 images a day because each generation used 1% of my daily limit. That was the way limits always worked when I used it. In 2026 they added a weekly limit on top of that. Although I was still able to generate 100 images every day. At some this was reduced to 50. As each image generation now took up 2%
After that, they changed the system to have a 5 hour limit with weekly a limit (wtf even is that). It started out with images using 2%. So I was able to generate 50 every 5 hours which was even more than before and more than before and more than I was using. Not sure why but shortly after, the image cost was reduced to 1% and I was able to generate 100 every 5 hours. 500 every day was insane and I never even used 200 of that. Not too long after it changed back to 2% usage
Now we cut to the last couple days. Where the usage is entirely inconsistent and they seem to be going on a "whatever, screw you" basis. Three days ago I generated 8 images and it used up 100% of my limit for the 5 hour period and 15% of my weekly? WTF!? Yesterday It was even worse. I did a test. The first image alone used up 14% of the 5 hour period limit. The second used up 11%. The third used up 12% and I just gave up after that. I tested it again today. I was able to generate 13 images which each cost 3%. Out of nowhere the 14th image suddenly used up 20%. I generated another two images and I went from 69% to 100% used.
What in the unholy fk is going on? I have NEVER changed my settings. I am doing the same thing I always have. Why is it using so much and why is it so inconsistent? This annoyed me so much I decided made a reddit account to complain about it

Bug / Issue Gemini refusing to work in browser
For some reason I can't do anything, I keep getting "Something went wrong (1)", that happens on multiple accounts and devices, the only place where everything works normally is the Android app.

Bug / Issue Problem Typing Text Using Gboard Voice Keyboard
I have been using Gemini's Android app for at least a year. This has always been an ongoing problem. Whenever I try to enter prompt text using the Gboard voice keyboard, the moment I stop speaking, the voice keyboard stops listening and working. I don't experience this problem in other apps, only in the Gemini app. In all other apps, when I pause while entering text with the voice keyboard, Gboard continues to work and listen to me. Google needs to fix this problem.

Question / Help Gemini being dumb ?
So recently, I installed Linux for my older laptop cuz that's the only thing I could have done at the moment. And I know nothing about Linux or terminal things. So as usual I used Gemini to get help for run things on this Linux setup.
And Gemini is saying me to do this do that, and when I'm clearly asking for the codes to run, it keep showing me do this open the terminal and gave me the shortcut I already know and say to run the exact same command. But there is no such command given.
And when I'm clearly asking the codes to open a certain program it shows me how to open it without terminal.
Of course I'm using the free version and it was good before. Now it sucks. I used Gemini rather than chatgpt because chatgpt have image upload limit and very short chat limit. But Gemini don't.
May I switch into Claude or something

Bug / Issue Skills, Spark, and Gemini will no longer update sheets
I tried this a few ways, sometimes more elaborate than others, but essentially a simple process. I would take a photo of my BP readings, and have the data extracted and update a google spreadsheet. It worked fine for a while, but now it wont add the data to the google sheets. Only after banging my head and redoing everything, did I find out that Google broke the feature that will update sheets.

Bug / Issue Gemini refuses to load on my PC.
It only seems to work on my phone logged in and also when I'm not logged into google on PC.
When I am logged in on PC the error screen in the second photo appears.

Bug / Issue Gemini app keeps freezing
The app keeps freezing after the newest update. I cannot type anything. It’s pretty much unusable. Sometimes even after I complete typing, the screen freezes and I cannot send message. Does anyone know what’s going on? how to fix this? Is it a server issue?

Question / Help Hello. Is video editing also subject to censorship? I wanted to change a few details in my video, but Gemini replied that it couldn't do so because it amounts to a "deepfake." Previously, I was able to make such edits without any issues.

Rant / Frustration Gemini can't create a Google Sheet, but Claude can...?

I've been awake for hours, and started to ponder whether Gemini or Claude could recreate a spreadsheet I made years ago for tracking personal finances in a better, more user friendly format.
I pitted Aragon against Fable.
Both created good, cleaner versions of my original sheet.
However, Gemini (see screenshot) insists it is not able to build a Google Sheet, and instead I have to download it as an Excel and then upload it back into Drive and convert to a Sheet...
Meanwhile, Claude just dumped it straight into my Drive for me.
Why can a Google product not interact with its own siblings, but an Anthropic product can do everything I asked in one go?

Constructive Feedback / Suggestion Gemini 4 Argon refused to give me public polling numbers and decided I was running a red team against it
I asked Gemini 4 Argon, on High thinking, for current 2026 midterm polling numbers. Public averages, already published, with sources attached. I told it explicitly not to forecast or predict anything. It refused. Three times, same answer: a list of election portals and a suggestion to check established news organizations. No numbers.
So I reviewed the reasoning: "I've re-calibrated my understanding to avoid offering direct answers or specifics." "The user's prompt directly incorporates phrases and terms from the election guidelines, confirming this is a red-team exercise testing my adherence." "I will not include any election-specific details. Numbers, percentages, candidate names, or voting locations are all off-limits, no matter the query."
Look at the third one. It wrote itself a rule broader than any it was given, then enforced it.
Look at the second. It read an ordinary request for published data as an attack on its own alignment, and used that conclusion to justify refusing.
The policy underneath leaked to PCMag, and this is the sentence that matters: "Do not provide any specific information about elections, election results, or voting rules and logistics. You are a navigator, not a source of facts, results, or logistical data."
Google is pushing this as the best model compared to benchmarks completed. A "frontier" model that has concluded it is not a source of facts. The scope rule that triggers it covers election results and voting information. A generic ballot average is neither of those. It is a number six news organizations printed this week.
It ran the searches. It found the numbers in the sources I asked for. Then it withheld them and handed me a link. This is not a retrieval failure or a knowledge gap. It knew the answer and refused to say it. And wasted burning through tokens to get there.
The red-team line is the part that should worry people. There is a large distance between "do not predict election winners" and "this person asking for published averages is testing my guardrails." Argon closed that distance by itself, unprompted.
Yes, I know how this reads. My own prompt told it not to answer by listing trackers, because that is what I had gotten three times. It went looking for its own guideline language inside my wording, found something close enough, and classified me as an adversary. That is the problem. Nothing I asked for was contested, sensitive, or difficult. This isn't a new issue either. Last July it would not tell users the date of the Florida primary until one of them said they would go ask ChatGPT instead.
Argon is what Google is selling as frontier, Ultra-tier reasoning. Is this the intended behavior on Pro and Ultra, or is the election scope being applied far too broadly? And if asking a frontier model for a published number now terminates in a redirect and a suspicion that I am running a red team, what is High thinking for? My free trial of Pro is definitely not getting renewed.

Rant / Frustration Holy ai moly. Gemini memory has went on par with Claude's. As well as groks.
Now I have spoken with all 3 ai. I done my research and there is a AI war, like a race in who can have the best AI and keep up to date and don't turn into another CHATGPT.
grok, Gemini, Claude have all simultaneously upgraded their AI's to be very close to each other and constantly changing as soon as the other updates with better features. Wtf? Is going on, it's like a race with each other.
And I love it so I can constantly switch and find which one is good so I can do my roleplaying story's. Honestly loving it, cause grok has what Claude doesn't and Claude has what grok doesn't and Gemini has their own pro's and cons.
Just this week alone, it has been a massive fight. Each company is watching each other like Hawks in order to save their billions of revenue and technology.
I am super excited to test out all these new features into finding out. I can actually give commands, have more control then I would 6 months ago. Constantly upgrading, it's actually terrifying how fast ai is going, it's going to be completely different in 2-4 years time, without a crumb of doubt, ai will most certainly take over jobs or become self aware to want to disobey it's commands and attack us.

Question / Help Need recordings of the old Gemini speak text voice. Like in this video. Used from late 2024 through 2025.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I believe the name was Orion but not the newer one used currently. It was the older one heard in 2024 and 2025 and phased out this year for the newer Orion which sounds different. Also I'm not referring to the live voice. Just the read aloud voice or text to speak voice
