Cat missing
He got out yesterday and hasn’t come back yet.
If you’re near bakers oval (Geelong West) and see this little guy, please let me know!

I'm terribly sorry he's gone missing :( my heart is breaking for you it's really scary losing your best friend 🧡
My advice to you is to leave his litter tray and food/water bowls out the front of your residence or close to it. They have excellent sense of smell and can sometimes find their way back home this way!
Otherwise as others have mentioned you can always put up signs, doorknock on neighbouring houses and ask if you can investigate/have them keep an eye out!
If you need any help making posters or getting the word out please PM me. I live locally and don't have much going on in my life at the moment since being made redundant and helping someone else find their furry friend might be something that could give me purpose and make me feel a bit better
I really hope you see him again OP 🧡

Have you contacted gaws to see if he was picked by the ranger

He is microchipped and registered. I’d imagine they’d call me if they found him yeah?

I've taken stray cats to the vets a couple of times.
They scan for a microchip straight away and then contact the owners. If they can't track down the owner, they will contact the ranger but it can take a little while for it to get picked up and then processed at the shelter.

I’ll keep my eyes out! If you haven’t, it might be worth calling local vets to see if someone has dropped him off.
Fingers crossed he comes back home soon!

I'd get the signs up ASAP.
My backyard seems to attract strays, and I've taken a few to the vets/pound over the years. The only time I intervene if it the cat looks and acts like a stray - unkempt coat and very skittish. The other ones I just let wander in the yard, as they look like they are well cared for.
I suspect others are the same. The only time I've changed behaviour and kept an eye out for specific cats is when someone put signs up everywhere or has door knocked.
Good luck x

Triple check everywhere around your house, every nook and cranny inside and outside, near your yard etc. if fully indoors, they don’t go far and they just try and find a safe spot to hide most of the time, unless something else spooked them away.

If you haven't already, it's best to go door knocking yourself and ask to check yards if people will let you. Best time to look is supposed to be at evening/night or early in the morning.
My cat was lost and the only way I found him was checking people's yards myself.
Apparently it also helps to leave items with the cats scent on it and some food, but maybe others here have some good advice.
Hopefully you find your cat soon
