Discussion This is NOT an Army mission
I've seen speculation that is is a flashback to an army mission but I am 99% sure that is not the case. We know from early screenshots that Jason was possibly special forces Army given his arm tattoo is more fitting of a SF tattoo than a standard army tattoo. But the Army rarely uses this kind of boat, called a RIB. The navy does, and coast guard, and also civilian divers in florida. That big tree on the left of the screenshot next to the monitor lizard is a mangrove tree which is in the wetlands of Leonida, it can also be found in asia along with monitor lizards but I doubt Rockstar wants to say that the fictional army in this game had any ground troops in an Asian country. More importantly though Jason is wearing a black tshirt not an ACU.
Drug runners DO use tactical gear, including night vision or infrared goggles. In the next shot we see Jason in a helicopter during a night mission wearing a backwards snapback hat and petting a dog wearing goggles. I am 99% sure this is a drug running mission to recover drugs dropped into the swamps somewhere.

Discussion A reminder that GTA V's launch trailer didn't fully match the final game
I don't wanna kill anyone's hype, I'm just as excited for GTA VI as you guys.
But look at this comparison from GTA V. The launch trailer showed way more NPCs than what we actually got in the game.
And the crazy part? That trailer came out just around two weeks before release. So it's not like Rockstar didn't know what the PS3 and Xbox 360 could handle by then.
I'm not saying GTA VI will be the same, just saying we shouldn't assume everything we see in the trailer will look exactly the same in-game.
Keep the hype, just don't set your expectations too high.

Discussion The "Flashback Theory": Jason and Lucia might be younger in this scene, showing their relationship before Lucia's release from jail; here is why:
The Theory Breakdown by the content creator TGG:
The Age Factor: Several community members, including the creator Frog, have noted that the character models in this specific car sequence appear noticeably younger than in other parts of the trailer, suggesting this is a flashback.
The Army Shirt Clue: Jason is wearing a US Army Marauder Combat Training School t-shirt. The creator points out that this is highly unusual since the game establishes Jason was dishonorably discharged and left the military on poor terms. It is unlikely he would continue to wear such specific branding unless the footage takes place while he was still active.
The Liberty City Connection: The shirt explicitly mentions the North Fort Law Army School. Geographical context within the GTA universe places North Fort Law just west of Liberty City. Given that Lucia is already known to be from Liberty City, this could serve as the narrative bridge that connects their origins and shows how they met long before the main events of the game.
Could this be the origin story of their partnership? We will find out soon! I really hope we get a good breakthrough on how they met. What do you think?

Discussion Thoughts on the launch trailer just released.
I think the submissive person in this scene has been replaced and what you see in the launch trailer is just a placeholder to avoid spoilers. P.s. Why the hell is Batista holding a KFC bucket and eating chicken in a situation like that?! LOL

Discussion WE'RE EATING GOOD BOYS!
First I want to offer my condolences to whoever didn't make it this far 🙏
The new trailer has been released, and we're a month and something little away from release. How you all feeling? I personally look forward enjoying the game to it's fullest. The last GTA I played was on the PS3, back in 2010. GTA IV was the goat for me. I also have fond memories of San Andreas, that felt endless back in the day.

Discussion I'm happy that all of the losers can now stop saying the game is going to be delayed. I got tired of seeing it.
I don't even know why the game would get delayed again. It absolutely made no sense to me.
Edit: it seems some of you think I'm talking about all of the delays. I'm speaking about cyberleek releasing the build early. That is all.

Discussion Who else hopes rockstar keeps gta 6 online as a realistic world simulator, and doesn’t add orbital cannons or flying missile bikes?
Can we get a petition or something? Cuz I wanna play gta 6 online and not be overwhelmed by crazy griefing other than sticky bombs and skill related driving/flying.
Realism and a living world is what gta does best, and they just ruin that with stupid additions.

Discussion Flower in a hurricane GTA 6
Anyone else think the Justice, Tame Impale, King Gizzard and the lizard wizard with SZA is a song that would never have happened without GTA 6. It blows my mind. Chefs kiss.
Discussion GTA VI lowering real-life crime/death rate?
Had this thought as I read a news story about a guy that did a pre-meditated violent crime a few weeks before release. Like, dam, he won't get to play GTA 6, what an idiot! Which made me think a lot of people are potentially holding off on doing stupid shit so they don't miss out on the game so close to release. Same for death rates - dive from this bridge into a river? Nah mate, need to be able to play GTA.
Anyone found themselves steering away from risky behaviour as the launch gets closer?

Discussion Why do so many people not understand how filters work?
I’ve seen so many posts complaining that the launch trailer looks bad, blurry, dark, or overly yellow. Have people seriously forgotten that filters exist? Rockstar clearly applied a stylistic filter to achieve the specific atmosphere and aesthetic they wanted for the trailer. That doesn’t mean the graphics have gotten worse, nor does it mean the actual game is going to have a permanent yellow tint. It’s a stylistic choice for the trailer, not necessarily a reflection of how the game will look when we play it. Honestly, it hurts my brain seeing so many people struggle to understand something as simple as a visual filter.
