The r/GTA6 wiki has received major updates!
Hey everyone!
We've given the subreddit wiki a complete overhaul to make it more useful as we get closer to the release of GTA VI.
The wiki is now a central place to find information about the game, including official announcements, trailers, gameplay details, development insights, previews, and more. We've also put together a FAQ covering some of the most common questions about the game. Make sure to check it out!
⚠️ We've updated the subreddit rules as well, so if you haven't checked them in a while, now's a good time to give them a read. We've also added a guide to our post flairs to help you choose the right one when posting.
Here's what you'll find in the wiki:
- Details about the world, characters, gameplay, and official announcements.
- Information about editions, pricing, pre-orders, and related questions.
- A look at the studios, leadership, writers, and other people involved in the game.
- A collection of coverage from publications and content creators.
- An explanation of our post flairs and when to use them.
- Our updated rules and guidelines for posting and participating in the community.
You can find everything here: GTA VI Wiki, Subreddit Rules, FAQ, and GTA VI.
Note that this is just the beginning. We'll keep updating the wiki over time, adding more information about GTA VI as new details are revealed and making changes wherever needed.
With that being said, one thing to keep in mind about the rules is that we can't cover every possible situation, so not everything will necessarily be listed explicitly. Just because something isn't mentioned in the rules doesn't automatically mean it's allowed.
Please use common sense, and remember that the mod team may still take action when something goes against the spirit of the rules or negatively affects the community.
With GTA VI getting closer and the community continuing to grow, we want the Wiki to be a useful resource for everyone. Give it a look when you get a chance, especially the updated rules before posting!
Thanks everyone for being part of r/GTA6!
The r/GTA6 Mod Team.

Why does the Launch Trailer look so much more bloomy and yellowish than Trailer 2?
Am I the only one who thinks the Launch Trailer looks way more bloomy and yellowish compared to Trailer 2? Trailer 2 looks sharper and more vibrant, while the Launch Trailer looks kinda blurry, and the depth of field seems way too strong.
Could it be because of the different time of day and weather, or did they intentionally go for a more cinematic look in the Launch Trailer? Personally, I really liked how the game looked in Trailer 2

Did Rockstar add a blurry filter to the final game?

Rockstar has shared new artwork of Justice, the duo behind “Flower in a Hurricane” from today’s GTA 6 launch trailer. They’re also composers on the game’s original dynamic score.

These two being silly is my favorite part of the trailer! Their expressions are so playful and realistic.
Especially when Lucia's expression goes from serious to cracking up!

Rockstar spoke to Jason Schreier about the bottle that teleports into the hand in the Extended Look.
"When the graphics are so detailed and the systems so realistic as in GTA VI, it can be disconcerting to see how a bottle of beer appears in the protagonist's hand out of nowhere."
"Would you have to go to the store's refrigerator, grab the beer, take it to the counter, and pay for it manually? At what point would the game become less fun as a consequence of this? To prepare a sandwich in your apartment, would you have to go to the supermarket to buy the ingredients? Or could you just prepare it yourself?"

The scale of planes in GTA 5 vs GTA 6
All of the vehicles so far seem so much more realistically scaled in GTA 6. And just look at the insane level of detailing.
I'm gonna have so much fun harassing civilians with these things. And imagine the size of the explosion when you crash one of them.
The speed it's going in also seems so realistic and feels powerful. This game will be legendary.

Jason's background totally makes sense now.
Ever since we found out that Jason served in the U.S. Army Special Forces, I always wondered why he ended up going back into the criminal world to make money. You'd think someone with that level of training, discipline, and experience would have plenty of opportunities to make a decent living in the civilian world without resorting to crime.
But if Jason really did leave the Army on bad terms, and potentially received a dishonorable discharge, his background starts making a lot more sense.
For those unaware, a dishonorable discharge is a pretty serious deal. It can essentially follow you for the rest of your life. You can lose access to most VA benefits, including the GI Bill, and the criminal conviction associated with it can make finding certain types of employment incredibly difficult. Someone could have years of specialized military training and still struggle to find legitimate opportunities afterward. You can't even own a firearm if you were dishonorably discharged so anytime you see Jason wielding a firearm, he is essentially committing a federal crime. It could also explain why Jason seems a lot more hesitant to commit crimes than Lucia. If things really did end badly for him in the Army, he probably knows better than anyone how much trouble he could be in if he gets caught, especially if he's already got a serious conviction hanging over his head.
That could explain why Jason eventually found himself working for drug runners in the Keys. He might have joined the Army hoping to escape his troubled upbringing and turn his life around, only to end up right back where he started after things went south.
Obviously, the dishonorable discharge part is just speculation, but I think it would make for an interesting character arc. Someone who genuinely tried to straighten his life out, failed, and ultimately fell back into the only lifestyle he knew growing up.
I'm really curious how much Rockstar plans to explore his military background and what exactly happened that led him down this path.
