Can Greensboro PD have some of their top tier social media nerds do some actual ground work on City Council? Or ya know, informing people about NC A&T homecoming this month?

This just makes me wince and hate the GPD more than I should.

Become a Citizen Scientist for Horsepen Creek!

Horsepen Creek Collective is teaming up with the Haw River Assembly's River Watch Program to monitor the health of our local waterways.

Volunteers will get hands-on experience testing water quality, exploring creek habitats, and discovering the tiny aquatic creatures that help tell us how healthy our streams are!

No science background needed—just curiosity and a love for our local environment!

Interested in becoming a River Watch volunteer?
We're planning a 2-hour River Watch training session with the Haw River Assembly here in Greensboro and are considering two dates:

Sunday, November 1 – Afternoon

Sunday, November 8 – Afternoon

Please let us know which date works best for you in the form below!
https://forms.gle/nNc76zEqq3KKKKSm9

We'd love to build a team of neighbors who can turn curiosity into action and help protect Horsepen Creek for generations to come!

What should we be getting ready for in regards to the culture there? Are y'all rowdy? Any chants to know?

Also, where do Gargoyles get breakfast the next morning?

Meet Up 21M looking for friends

Hey! I’m 21M and live in Kernersville. Looking for someone with a YMCA membership who’d be down to work out, swim, hang out, or just become friends!
I’m into lifting and anything athletic. I’ve been wanting to try racquetball and I just got back into running so a running buddy would be cool too.
I’m willing to go to the YMCAs in Kernersville, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Jamestown, or High Point.
If you’re looking for a gym buddy or just someone new to hang out with, feel free to message me!

Housing Cute 1 bedroom condo in historic Fisher Park available for purchase

I am ready to sell a one bedroom condo in the Fisher Park historic district. It has been a rental, and it has never been vacant for more than a few days because it is in such a desirable location —walking distance to downtown Greensboro but located in a lovely tree-filled neighborhood.
This would be a great property for a single person or a couple who are just starting their careers, or for a student to live in rather than paying rent while they’re going to school, or anyone who doesn’t need a large space. The monthly mortgage payment would be lower than what you’re paying in rent!
It’s also a great investment for anyone who is looking for a relatively inexpensive property to start or add to their investment portfolio. It will easily rent for $1100-$1200 a month. I am only selling it because I am looking to get out of the rental business.
It is listed the various real estate websites and I’d be glad to share the listing with anyone who is interested.
It’s listed for $129,900

Pet-related Sheets Pet Clinic Doggy Dental Opinions

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi all! I was looking for a more affordable vet for my 13 y/o boxer to undergo a dental procedure. Just wanted to see people’s experience with sheets pet clinic for doggy dental services (as they seem more kitty oriented).

I also was going to have them look over a spot I believe is a hernia, and potentially fix it at the same time if possible. Sooo any doggy surgery experiences will be helpful outside of the traditional spay/neuter

Also any other cheaper dental recommendations will be appreciated :)

Puppy tax picture of big handsome for you all ❤️

Hi everyone!

I’m a local pet lover launching a premium 2-hour adventure service for dogs, designed specifically for the North Greensboro area / zip code 27455 (near the Science Center and Country Park). If you work long hours and want your dog to enjoy an amazing day out instead of staying at home, I’m here to help!

What’s included in the $55-per-dog service?
• 🚗 Pick-up and drop-off included: Safe door-to-door transportation.
• 🌳 Off-leash playtime: Fun, fetch, and running—safely—*strictly within* the fenced dog area (Bark Park) at Country Park.
• 🥾 Structured trail walk: A pleasant, safe walk—always on-leash—along the park’s lakeside trails.
• 🍖 Allergy-conscious: Regular clients receive a personalized treat pouch as a gift after their first week!
• 🎁 Special keepsake: Hit the 6-month mark together? Celebrate with a custom keychain featuring a laser-engraved photo of your dog, lovingly crafted by Gail Designs!
• 🩵 Safety first: Small groups (maximum 3 dogs). All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and sociable with other dogs.

I have limited spots left for the season. Please send me a direct message (DM) if you’re interested or have any questions! 🐕✨

Question Looking for an event space for 60 people for MLK weekend.

I am one of the organizers of a small convention that centers around one single miniature skirmish board game taking place on Jan 15-18, 2027 and I am looking for a venue to rent.

This is our 3rd year and we expect between 40-60 people to travel from across the country to participate in our event. Previously, we hosted this event at a local game store that had a large open space for us to occupy privately for the duration of our event. That store has moved a few doors down from their old location and although it's a good thing for the store as the space is more welcoming, they no longer have the space to dedicate to our event so we are scrambling for a replacement.

Does anyone know of any spaces that would be willing to rent to us for that weekend?

We are a respectful group and only require a venue, internet, and climate control (although that's not a hard requirement.) It would be awesome if the venue had tables and chairs available, but if not we can source our own.

Most of the hotels I've spoken to don't have a room quite big enough for us, and many of the event spaces I've looked at are geared towards weddings ie the space is rentable for an evening, not 4 days, and the fee is $100/hr which is just out of our budget.

We would need access to the space from Jan 15-19, 3pm-11pm on Friday, 8am-11pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 8am-3pm on Monday.

Any help is appreciated!

Discussion Genuinely shocked by the amount of people scrolling through their phones in traffic.

I'm originally from Central Florida, so I'm very used to heavy and hectic traffic.

And of course just like anywhere else I would see people on their phones either speaking on their phone

Hands-Free Or with their phone up to their ear.

When I used to live up north in Maine it was one of the places where I least saw people driving either speaking on the phone scrolling on the phone or with their phone in front of their face while they were driving.

I've been in Greensboro for about 6 months now, And in between Florida And North Carolina I have never seen so many people driving With their phones in front of their faces. Literally you will pull up to a red light and people will be scrolling through Facebook or scrolling through Instagram at the red light.

If a Florida State Trooper saw you at a red light scrolling through Facebook or just mindlessly staring at your phone you would get an insane ticket,

Then I wondered why I see so many cars in Greensboro with missing bumpers, smashed back ends, Broken tail lights etc

I'm not trying to tell nobody how to live their life but if you're one of these individuals you are putting yourself and the other people around you in danger by doing these things.

You can't wait to mindlessly scroll through Tic Tok or Instagram until you get wherever you're going?

Is it really worth getting into an accident hurting yourself or hurting someone else?

Looking for a good spot to take a friend for their 30th birthday.
We will have about 15 people. Here are my most wanted things

1) experience. Looks nice, makes it feels like a good night out, if you are dressy, you won’t stand out
2) drink options
3) affordable options on menu
