Sorry if this is incredibly basic. I have a 3d scan of a brake lever. I’d like to modify it so that the angle of the blade is different as well as shorten in.
I’ve watched a ton of videos and learned a couple techniques that get me halfway there, but ultimately struggling with joining the two pieces together.
One method is using mesh section sketch throughout the blade of the lever and then lofting between them all. This works incredibly well for the blade of the lever, but does not produce good results for the mounting portion of the lever. If I manually build and extrude the the mounting portion, I can’t figure out of to take the really nice contoured section of the blade and get that contour to follow through into the mounting portion.
Another method I tried is in the forms tab, creating a cylinder, cover the blade portion and then use pull. It gets a nice result as well, but run into the same issue with the mounting portion.
If I used splines and extrude from the top and side profiles I can’t figure get one body, but missing all contours of the lever and using fillets isn’t as nice as the other methods.
Any help would be appreciated
